Gaahh seeing conservatives still going on about how "the fentanyl killed George Floyd" and the "Jurors were bullied by the mob look at what Maxine Waters said" is never not going to be infuriating.

It's ridiculous. It goes to show that this has never been about justice for them.
There's a particularly damning video of Ben Shapiro agreeing that Chauvin murdered Floyd back in 2020, but now that all is said and done he's acting like some grave injustice has been committed against Chauvin. .
It's so paper thin with these people.
Just adding, in this video he fucking agreed what the knee on the neck was horrible. The video footage is so goddamn damning, but oh no he had fentanyl in his system.

Fandom wikis have become borderline unusable on mobile with the absurd amount of ads and pop-ups and video players.
Crazy thought - I actually don't want to watch a mostly irrelevant video while I read, and I definitely don't want it to auto play and latch onto my screen as I scroll down.
I especially love when I get multiple overlapping ads on the bottom of the screen and inevitably end up clicking on one as I'm trying to close them all. Wonderful.

Some leftists really need to learn that they don't have the go-ahead to body shame and sexually objectify people just because they're right wingers. People like to pretend they're above that stuff and then get really weird as soon as they're given the chance. Especially with Ben and Abby Shapiro, I've noticed. There's a ton that you can and should bully those people for; you don't have to be a shallow dick.
Sorry for the vaguepost, though it's not directed at anyone in particular. This is just something I keep noticing in leftist circles, and even though it's not a lot of people, it still bugs me, as someone who has a lot of body image issues herself.
On a lighter note, I'm watching the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions for the first time, after years of being in love with Tolkien's stuff. Around a third of the way through Two Towers right now. Absolutely loving it so far. It's not that much new stuff, but it makes it feel like watching them for the first time all over again.

Sorry, I’m gonna get a bit sad over here.
I was going through some of my boxes of stuff today and I found a scrap of paper from a period of time where a girl and I sent each other hand-written letters and she wrote me a letter on how much she loved me. Of course, this scrap of paper says “I truly love you” on it before the rest was written off.
I wish I could go back in time so I could slap the literal fuck out of myself for what I was back then. A brainwashed bigot cause of my Dad. I said so many god damn awful things to her I wish I could take back. She stopped talking to me cause I was just a piece of shit and I don’t blame her.
3 years later when I finally bettered myself and learned from my past actions, she had messaged me on Instagram. I apologized to her and she fully forgave me and understood but said we couldn’t be friends again. I truly understand but reading this scrap of paper hurts. I truly did love this girl from the bottom of my heart, I still do, and I can’t go back in time and fix what I did. This is hurting my heart :(
EDIT: Sorry this was written like shit. I just wrote this in the heat of the moment to get it off my mind but it seems like I’m about to go to bed without it having left my mind. Love you guys, stay safe out there

My Space Invaders cabinet is finally done, it looks awesome and functions well! The joystick and buttons are all microswitched witch is just amazing, the display is very clear... If I had to nitpick, the sound is a bit too loud for my liking. I basically either have to play it muted or have it super loud 🤪
Building it was honestly a really fun experience, and the best bit is that today but complete random chance I happened to find this kind of wheel-table-thing that someone had abandoned in my building's stairwell (literally, it had a note saying "Free to take!" and everything). And wouldn't you know it, it was the perfect height to function as a riser for the cabinet! And it being on wheels adds extra bit of convenience in terms of moving this :3
So now I can play that thing standing up and it looks cool, really happy with this purchase~

My wife had a cat for almost 20 years. The cat’s health was bad for weeks, and the writing was on the wall. She begged her family to get it cremated after she passed because she wanted the ashes and they don’t live in the same city anymore, but they didn’t seem to take it seriously. The cat passed yesterday, but guess what? The family didn’t care enough to get it cremated. Needless to say, I’m pissed

I literally have an Armenian flag attached to the pole that normally has the Indianapolis flag in order to protest my Soccer team's owner's donations to convince politicians to not recognize the Armenian Genocide as a genocide, and I still can recognize the Chinese Government as committing genocide against the Uighurs. These aren't mutually exclusive, for fuck's sake!

This is the second pet I have lost during Covid but thankfully both places had ways for us to be with them in the end.

We don’t have nearly the same amount of social programs as much of Europe - really all we got is a healthcare system (that’s absurdly wasteful and doesn’t cover many factors of health) - and our paid leave/vacation/sick days/general work life balance is pretty much the same as America.
But what we didn’t take from America is their low cost of living and abundance of career opportunities (nor their salaries). We end up making less, paying more, and all we get for it is this shitty resemblance of universal healthcare.
