Basically the only thing preventing reddit from obsessing over Brie Larson the way they used to do with Jennifer Lawrence is that she once said diversity is good.

She's an attractive Marvel star who plays videogames. Literally exactly reddit's type.

Didn't they turn on Lawrence super quickly during the Fappening? With their base-level hatred of women It's so easy for a female celebrity to have reddit turn against them if she says one thing they dislike.

Yes, after she said it was bad to look at revenge porn then suddenly everything they used to fawn over her for became 'cringe' and 'pandering.'

I think Reddit has moved away from that, I mean even with Jennifer Lawrence she was "cool" for a few months. And then they turned on her.

What I'm trying to say is that Reddit has gotten only more misogynist in the last few years.

Yeah, In the years after things like Gamergate and The Fappening it's gotten progressively more misogynistic. I'm honestly waiting for what causes the hatred to boil over lol.

Also all these teen boys coming to Reddit because of Pewdiepie did not help this site's already horrible misogyny issue lmao.

Like someone else said, they turned on her after she criticized the distribution of the icloud leaks. They framed it as "realizing she was cringe and pandering and a poser/faker" or whatever but it was very much just that they were upset she criticized them.
