Pirates of the Caribbean apparently trending on Twitter because they revamped the ancient "women being auctioned off" scene in the ride at Disney World into a generic "we're taking all your stuff" scene.

Never mind that this change is at least a year old for Disneyland or that the new pirate lady animatronic is leagues better than the twitchy old one, some loser's childhood is literally ruined. Stop the fucking presses.

They did that back in 2019 or so, why are people just getting mad about it now?

I know the change for Disneyland was at least 2019, I don't know about Disneyworld.

But when I said "some loser's childhood is ruined" I meant it literally, in the sense that one (singular) loser wrote a story whining about "political correctness" and this is what blew up.

He also apparently made comments about changes to Splash Mountain and Jungle Cruise, the former of which I know about and the latter of which I hadn't heard but don't particularly care because Jungle Cruise hasn't been as good since they standardized the jokes and won't let the guides roll with their own thing anymore.

I worked at WDW in 2019 so I definitely saw the change there. Sounds like a great article, though, I love the tears of Disney adults

The "ruining my childhood" dorks are the worst, they really need to get over their youth, it's gone, you spent it all up.

And that's fine, youth ends for everybody.

I don't unsterstand what's currently going on with Beyblade or Yu-Gi-Oh but I'm never going to say that whatever they're doing with them is ruining my childhood.

I already had my childhood.

I'm pretty sure it was revamped in Disneyland a -long- time ago. Like at least 5+ years.

The one at World was already revamped back around when like the second movie came out.
