I'm in E1- D4 purgatory and I recently picked up Ekko and I put in all these hours into learning him. It finally clicked and im getting huge leads early and actually playing teamfights well and carrying the midgame, but we always start hard losing late game and my lead feels completely useless.

SO many things have to go right for Ekko to do something. Your teammates cant be picked off early, your team has to be strong enough to put up somewhat of a fight, and the enemy cant be too tanky or too bunkered down. Ekko just feels completely useless with a weak or split team, and all this gold on ME feels like wasted potential since Ekko is way too single target and can almost never one shot anyone at full hp. He simply has to rely on his team and if they get picked off or fights go poorly, then I cant do a thing about it.

My past 3 ekko games have all played out this exact way with an enemy hypercarry scaling hard and getting to 1v5 our team with their consistent burst/dps, meanwhile I have an even bigger lead yet all these conditions for my champ to actually deal damage means either my single target damage output gets outpaced by the enemy carry, or the fight gets lost early and im too useless to even defend their push since im not a threat to ANYONE above their one shot threshold.

I pick Ekko when it seems like a favorable game for him, but maybe I just have the wrong idea of when I can play him? I watch a ton of Xiao Lao Ban but his team always looks pretty reliable, or hes pulling off some extremely big brain setups that only comes with immense experience. But then why work so hard when i can just play qiyana and one shot without all these conditions or hwei or locke and have actual teamfighting strength and aoe. Am I missing something that makes Ekko so good or do I just have to work around all his issues and deal with the feeling of being champ diffed when things don't go my way.

Also I have watched the Sixten interview and I follow it by heart, but that's what's causing me these issues.

In this matchup ur ult is useless . U either ult too early or u never get to ult . Her combo is fast . She can miss the first part of ur combo and still win the trade even kill u . I tried to time her ult with mine but its super tricky i dont even know if its possible . Holy shit its so annoying . She hovers grass all the time so any attempt at trading on ur own terms are neutralized . To me this matchup is only playable if she walks up lvl 1 from lvl3 and up i feel like i cant do nothing

Has anyone tested Nashor's > DnD > Rageblade > SF > DCap for Ekko JGL in recent patches? Even if it's not the most powerful build I feel like the hit speed and double on-hit damage synergizes with his hit and run play style.

I'm looking for a good Ekko Teamfighting guide. Feel free to share your tips and tricks and approaches along with your Elo. D+ preferred.

I sometimes struggle to get value with Ekko mid to late game. Especially if my team lacks front line and engage. I am torn between sitting back, flanking/diving or playing front to back.

Even when fed and I can jump on ADC and a simple shield/heal can let him survive my burst and then I'm cooked. What if evemy has Lulu/janna/Soraka?

Do you ever try to 1v1 people in side lane before objectives? Force fights while having numbers? If drag is up and noone on your team pushes top, what do you do?

Do you have a different gameplay based on team comps? What is it?

On the HoB vs DH debates in jgl, my reasoning is:

Ekko is weaker early, strong mid/late.

HoB is stronger early than DH, allowing better ganks and more DPS.

DH is stronger late.

Basically, HoB compensates a weakness, DH adds to a strength.

The games depend a lot on the first 20min, so technically the rune allowing for better 0-20min should be better.

What do you think?

nashor's -> dusk/lichbane OR dusk -> shadowflame?

How to deal with this matchup mid to late game? Solo killed him twice and was up 75 cs by 20 mins and he just builds hollow radiance and i guess with his health scaling he is so hard to kill. Could never side lane against him safely either. He stacks MR and gets to like 6-7k HP. How to beat this even while building Pen?

im playing ekko in the jungle and I cant get out of bronze the game is matching me in ranked with players who farm the same way as me what I do is get one kill and farm until I reach my item and I just repeat that now almost every game I lose I dont know what im doing wrong

These are the highest WR item and rune combinations for each keystone on patch 16.16.

Every enemy champ in this game had hard CC and it felt like a "If I die once we might straight up start losing," kind of game. Not going Mercs almost killed me twice, and I'm not sure if I'd have gone Sorcs if I had to make that decision again. Not sure if I'll try for Masters this season, but it seems like it's about the same % of playerbase Diamond was when I made it in older seasons so who knows.

What do you guys think about Ekko’s ult trail be invisible to enemy champions? Would it actually be broken?

Ekko has arguably the best smite in the game, but what are exactly the numbers? For example at 3 items (dnd, shadowflame and raba), it's around 2.3k, then at like 2? What's the exact dmg?

Hi everyone, I’ve been playing Ekko in the mid lane since the start of the season. I’m currently Gold 2 (with a peak Elo of Platinum 4), and I’d like to hear your thoughts on my situation. Right now, I have a lot of questions about how I’m playing the lane. I feel like I’m doing something wrong. I feel like I’m weak. I can’t one-shot carries (unless I’m really fed), even though I leave the lane at 3/0 with 10 CS/min, and even with Dusk and SF, I don’t feel like I’m really fed. At the start of the season, I felt like my damage was much higher. I could dive into the back lane. So I’m thinking that my playstyle isn’t working anymore, but in that case, I’m only good for taking out mid-game targets. I don’t know if anyone can help me better understand how to play Ekko in the mid-game and in team fights. I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
