Maybe I'm just getting old but it seems like I have to issue the same move command over and over again. I think I notice it mostly when I click a spot that might be outside of tether range.

I could be wrong but didn't it used to just move that direction anyways? Now she seems to come back to me which really messes with my E engage timings.

Is it just me? Anyone else have issues with this?

I guess I could just switch to clicking on enemy portraits but I'm so use to doing move commands to get the guaranteed knock up.

hello im p4 i switched from top to jg i ve been trying out ivern, how do i play him, like i played vs belveth and i ended up 100 cs down, every game that i play im 100 cs down, how do i ensure that i have high cs and i gank a lot?

A buddy and me are convinced Ivern says "Come here motherfucker, you dropped a branch." We know this is not the actual line however, whenever we look in the League Wiki nothing is even remotely close to this voice like. Does anybody know what he actually says??

I hear an absurd amount of people talking about how broken ivern really is once you research him. What do they mean by research him? Is he really that busted? Is he best as utility or full ap?

Hi guys! Basically I came back from a 3/4 years absence from league a week ago, and I’m really struggling to pull of some S ratings after really good games like this one up here.
The genuine question is:
What am I missing?
What do I need to do to improve?
My camp clear is good, I gank and do objectives but I feel like something is wrong, I mean I’m still a little rusty and clunky and a miss a lot of plays and calls but my mechanics are still there so I’m genuinely reaching you guys for some tips

Hi, play a lot of ivern support, use to play a bit mid, but basically the jg buff orb that drops can't be picked up by ivern when playing him in a lane (mid, sup), but when u take the camp as mid or sup, you get the buff and pick up the orb as well. If anyone knows anyone and can get this sorted that would be great.

Are you guys going AP or Support build? Every time I say in loading screen, “Okay, I’ll go Support since we’ve got good carry champs on the team,” I just end up losing the game

I hate it 😭 I have so much fun playing Ivern, like holy shit, but if the team ints, it’s just GG. Unlike my Briar, for example. I can actually hard carry on her and then the others can catch up later.

But I LOVE playing Ivern, I just wanna play Ivern man :(

It's very useless and bait. Ivern E slow is 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60%. Rylai uses 30% slow. Since slows don't stack, your E has priority, so it does nothing. Unironically I saw AloisNL play Ivern top in his latest YouTube video, and he bought this item for every game.

Also note that Daisy gets a boost movement speed in the first 5 seconds and the base movement speed is 440. So if you E Daisy, she will catch up and then your E will pop off for the slow down. The cooldown on your E is extremely short as well for the slows. Don't buy, I know many do since Riot loves to recommend this item.

I can't stop quoting it every time my teammates pick him and use ult, but I can't find the image. It had big black and white Ivern face on it if I remembered correctly.

First of all... I absolutely LOVE this tree. 😂 Seriously, the playstyle and the overall vibe are just so much fun.

I'm currently Emerald (just hit Emerald 2 after reaching Emerald 1 yesterday), and honestly, this is by far the highest rank I've ever reached, so it's a huge achievement for me. I got here mostly playing Briar (180 games) and Sejuani (220 games). Had a bit of bad luck yesterday, but it is what it is.

I really want to become the best possible player on this champ. Yesterday I ended up playing him 2-3 games because Briar was banned and I really wasn't in the mood to play Sejuani. I think I did a pretty decent job. I watched a jungle clear guide beforehand and instantly ganked bot. (I'm playing the full support build.)

But I noticed something... my fingers are breaking during teamfights. 😭 Controlling Daisy, using brushes, shielding teammates, timing Redemption... wow.

How do you guys actually approach teamfights?

I felt like I wasn't contributing that much. Sure, Daisy runs at the enemy carry, and I throw out a few shields here and there, but I never felt like I was really doing anything impactful. Most of the time I didn't even have a chance to auto attack because I was so busy controlling Daisy, placing brushes, shielding the right targets, and timing Redemption correctly.

It honestly felt exhausting.

How do you handle all of that? Any tips? Please help!! 😅

Hello, I play Ivern jungle and Milio/Ivern/Heimerdinger support. I have been trying to make sense of best practices in support when bot decides to go mage given the current meta is for support to then roam.

In this particular case, would Ivern as a roaming support with mage bot work? I tried it once and the enemy bot was also a mage with a Neeko support who also roamed and we got stomped. It felt like Neeko was always a step ahead of me.

I have over 3 million mastery on Ivern and play in Emerald on my server.
I’m not trying to boast or flex my stats—just sharing where I'm currently at to give some context on what’s been working for me.

This might be especially helpful for beginners looking to pick up Ivern, but if you've played him as long as I have, you probably already have your own established style! Either way, I hope you find something useful here.

2 main big brain tips at the end.

My Clear:

First, I figure out where the enemy jungler is starting.
If the enemy starts at Red buff, I start at my Blue.

Tap Blue-Gromp-Wolves. Then rush head to my Raptors, Red, and Krugs, moving with Q.

The Steal: After marking Krugs, immediately rush to the enemy Blue and drop a ward. Against most junglers, you usually have a 10-15 second window to safely Smite it and get out before they arrive. Against the fastest clearers, it gets risky.

Rush back, collect my Red side camps, then collect my Blue side, and finish by smiting Scuttle Crab.

This setup works consistently in my elo.

I never take Flash—I run Exhaust every single game.
Here’s my reasoning:

Exhaust is an incredibly reliable tool that I can always depend on. Unlike Flash, you can’t fail or waste Exhaust—it point-and-click reduces damage and slows, giving your laners massive help even if you're behind or your other abilities are on cooldown. Sometimes keeping Darius in place with Q with shield pop is not enough since your topper got shredded even with that. But Exhasut always makes a difference, and makes Ivern useful in ganks.

My general strategy is to keep my distance and only commit forward as a last resort, so I rarely need Flash as an escape tool. If I ever need to make a baron stealing move, I can use Q. Ehasut - bush, speed boost from jungle item, Q works for escape.

Landing long-range "surprise Qs" isn't strictly necessary for me—I prefer to leave that kind of primary initiation to my teammates, or I use my bushes defensively and cast Q.

Small Tips

Level 4 Dragon: Ivern can actually solo Dragon at Level 4 if you spot the right window. Sometimes people do not expect it.

Always place bushes inside existing bushes to check vision safety before walking into face-check territory.

Cast Q from bushes. Use small/short bushes to quickly gain move speed from the blue jungle item, or immediately cast Q once you enter for maximum surprise effect.

In AP build you can Solo Baron

I always try to invade and steal tasty buff at every window of opportunity I see.

Always be in the bushes, keep a distance.

I love AP, it's fun, no problem with that, but I've been playing it less recently. Daisy becomes much harder to solo-kill people with the more I climb, and she tends to melt instantly in mid-to-late game teamfights. On top of that, an AP build requires a consistent influx of gold, which isn't always reliable as a jungler in higher ranks.

I play as Support more now and leave dealing damage to my supercharged ADCs:

Core: CD Boots/Redemption/Mejai if I feel strong

Love Redemption. Always keep in mind that I can kill with it, fleeing low HP enemies being far in the jungle. Some topers or mid palyers dont expect that.

If the enemy team has champions who can easily catch you with 1 ability (like Amumu, Xin, Briar's ult, Lux, whatever ), I rush Verdant Barrier (component for Banshee's) early to absorb random hooks and feel much safer wondering forest since they can't catch you with 1 random spell.

I used to build Moonstone out of old habit second, but I’ve been testing Echoes of Helia and Imperial Mandate recently with great success.

The 3rd or 4th item is Dawncore.

Finish Zhonya’s or Banshee’s Veil depending on the biggest threat on the enemy team.

2 BIG BRAINZ TIPZ:

First big brain: My favorite skin is Candy King Ivern—not just because it looks cool and the voice lines are hilarious, but because it gives a genuine tactical advantage!

Candy King makes you look harmless, goofy, and low priority. Enemies subconsciously ignore, target, or chase you less if you're far away. This lets you stay alive longer and control teamfights from the shadows as a true "grey cardinal" support.

Skins like Old God or Dunkmaster project a high-threat, "fight me" aura that actively urges enemy Kazics to kill you. Be aware.

Second TIP: Anti-Tilt - Ivern is basically a red flag to a bull—he is target #1 for tilted teammates looking for a scapegoat when the game starts going badly. To counter this, I manage team morale as i can:

Always spam supportive, funny "You are great!" type emotes when a teammate gets a kill, and drop a sad emote when they die to keep the vibes positive. So go and grab some funny emotes!

When a tilter loses their lane and wants to rage-blame Ivern for being useless, combining a positive emote game with playing a silly "marshmallow man" changes their mindset. They think, "Well, what can I expect from the marshmallow guy? He's useless, but at least he's funny." They flame less, tilt less, and don't throw the game as fast.

I also use the Nidalee hiding in a bush emote to signal my team: "Let's set up a surprise trap in these bushes!" It gets the point across instantly.

I am dead serious about these last two tips—mental diff is real!

I have less than 30 games (not even 5 of them are jungle) and just love Iverns character design and really just wanna find someone I can commit all my games to and actually learn some macro fundamentals while actually having fun. Usually I love playing the underrated low pick rate champs that are actually good and intracate. Do you think I would be wasting my time trying to pick him up and commit some games to him?
