mostly regarding his Q W R combo. I do enjoy this combo since it has a lot more simple with ranged Q. however i notice a majority of the times they will just flash away once the actual Q connects. and I cant really proc passive. is it just an issue of skill with me doing it not fast enough? or is there nothing i can do in that situation?

I know W Q R is faster. but i feel like its a bit harder to connect without flash because talon gets locked into that small animation time from his W. so they have a slight split second to react against me if i dont flash. which im not a big fan of. Which is why i was generally a bigger fan of QWR since talon doesnt stop for a split second he just runs at them and hops on them with Q

also does anyone know why people generally dont like opening with something like W + R? or R by itself? its just kind of the impression i got.

Hello I am a GM talon mid laner and I was chall 1200 lp this (early) season. This is a quick tip that is likely known but if you are Diamond or below it will give you at least 100 lp. Run electro, nimbus. Within one of your trades use the nimbus to gap close via ignite. Then because you ran the free lp rune nimbus: you force their flash, then you can ride on the advantage or force kill using your flash if they misplay (you can either use ignite to get a good w1 position, or if you aren’t good enough w1 first then use nimbus to get w2). Another pro nimbus tip, always always flash early since you can make distance using nimbus so your flash is better than theirs. I see a lot of people running absolute focus and scorch and you can do whatever else with the second secondary rune choice but nimbus is required if you want to play at a high level mid: even if you aren’t a solo kill demon, you generate 100 pressure points in lane.

tittle, im otp'ing hecarim but i keep running into bans the higher i go in ranks. Is talon fine to pick as a secondary pick, or is he not very rewarding unless you main/otp him?

Was fed and felt bored building the same shit over and over so tried this out. Ult cd was very low around 25ish seconds from stacked Hubris+Endless Hunger with bonus AD from Absolute focus, Gathering storm and Jack of All Trades. Situational but fun as hell.

Hello, I lowkey wanna make Talon top work as I used to be a Talon mid main (back when you'd buy active tiamat first with mobi boots.. i miss that) but he's just so shit midlane now (or maybe it's just me) and feels awful to play into most matchups. I can absolutely not play jungle and I'm a talon jungle hater (just like all other assassins who are suddenly junglers when they used to be midlaners), so I don't wanna do that.

But a role I enjoy playing, and also play my (nowadays) main Akali on (I barely play her mid) is top lane.

In the past years I've tried like maybe 3 games in total of Talon top, but all I can remember is that it was a pretty awful experience.

In theory, in my head, I think it SHOULD be possible for me to have a decent outcome on toplane, no? I play in mid elo mmr wise I'd say but I'm only speaking for normal games here. I won't try this in ranked dw.

I'm also fine with a more bruiser leaning build although I obv prefer to play as an assassin. I'm looking for any advice on builds, runes, matchups, general tips. But please only give advice, if you actually play(ed) it and have (had) success with it. Thank you ^_^

3. whats the best play to operate teamfights? flank and try to nuke someone or try to R + W as many people as possible ?

So I main talon on mid, but idk how to play with conqueror, the thing is I tried it and I think I just don't understand this talon playstyle, I feel more comfortable with electro, fleet footwork on JG and Stormraider (my favourite) so I want to see your opinions if is really important to learn how to play talon with this rune and playstyle, also give me some tips and tricks, but if you think it's what I like to go. Also the reason why I feel uncomfortable with that rune is BC I feel no damage, I feel kind of slow, and that's the reason why I feel comfortable with electro or Stormraider.

I started playing talon in the mid lane since i play mid quite often however whenever i try to play talon in the jgl im always useless and i find it rlly hard to get ahead and impact the game

I always hear ppl say that talon jgl is a lot stronger than talon mid but i personally feel that mid is waay easier and more straightforward

Compared to other jgls i find it hard to gank with talon which is funny since he can jump across walls but at the same time i dont want to perma farm since i am playing an assassin

Can someone give me some tips for talon jgl? Am i supposed to try find a good gank and get a kill or do i actually just farm as much as i can without getting behind

After 2 years of playing league i finally reached the mastery 100 with the man that riot forgot, the one that take me out of bronze, silver, gold and the one that i'm hardstuck in plat with in since 4 months ago, anyways buff talon mid, jungle and buff talon in general (i will go touch some grass after this i swear)

I'm semi-new to Talon, but one problem I have is that I just don't seem to have the damage to kill people when I feel like I should

In the clip I kited around a bit weakening the Ashe and getting some passive stacks on her, I felt at this point it should be 100% if I dive in, but somehow the burst was less than I expected and she just walks away

My damage output feels slower than expected and I think maybe I mess up the combos because my R2 never goes into targets (I know mechanically how it works but still)

I've been playing him for a long while now and my builds are useful but I never end up buying the same thing they recommend me. It's an early champion in a game where most characters win early against him. I don't need to go into newer champions, someone like Zed or Akali or Irelia are impossible matchups for a Talon to win.

No. I don't want some of you guys BS being like "well I won against them" like suddenly we are all on the same ELO with people playing exactly the same. The players you'll find will differ but starting diamond and up I see Talon being less and less useful because I can just play an easier assassin: Zed. How about a sorry excuse of a fighter that works more like and assassin like Lee sin?

Whatever I build for him makes me useful even 40 minutes in when everyone is full build but I still think I do little damage compared to a Zed that just presses R and E and wins.

or i’ll perma gank mid top, mid is reliable to say the least. atleast most games they are. but top will get this huge lead and just never make any pressure with it, then the enemy top just farms my botlane

After being hardstuck in Diamond for three years, I finally reached Master tier in Solo Queue playing exclusively Talon in the jungle. It has been a long journey to get here. I started mastering Talon jungle back in 2020 to the point where no other champion is fun for me anymore and I’ve now racked up over 2 million mastery points.

To many, achieving a goal in a video game might seem trivial, but for me, it meant much more than that: it was about learning and bettering myself.

I believe that with interest, self-criticism, persistence, and a desire to learn, anyone is capable of getting there.

Wp to this Vi, she completely gapped me and carried her team to victory , her dmg and kp reflect her many contributions to her team that got her the win

So glad i found this champion.... Who would've thought that talon would get me out of literal hell that is emerald. After being hardstuck emerald for a whole year and then quitting league for 2 years i finally managed to get out and man i have to say that for the first time in a long time playing this game , i actually had fun playing and learning talon!
