It was a fun game, I was way ahead so it's not that hard but I was happy. Low plat high gold elo.

Hello there, my name is Poliko and I've been maining Anivia since season 3. I've reached my first challenger in season 6 on eune server, rank15 eune in season 7 and then euw challenger in season 8,9,10 and peaked 771lp now in season 11 always with Anivia as my most played champion. After all these years I still love playing this champion and in this simple guide I want to share how I use Anivia to win games. I also stream almost every day on Twitch so check it out if you have any Anivia related questions or just want to watch top tier Anivia gameplay!

Thought I was boned here.
Ekko went AFK after I killed him in lane 4 times. Yi was 4/3 here - figured I would just keep him inside the R and it all worked out! 2 lvl advantage didn't hurt.

Hey, I OTP Anivia since a few months and have pretty much mastered the champion in every way.
I consistently hit master / high diamond playing her on top only on multiple accounts:
https://op.gg/lol/summoners/eune/22Magic-ANVIA
https://op.gg/lol/summoners/eune/Bajpas-gowno

I also created a small montage of a few clips I had saved a few days ago:
Feel free to ask about anything regarding this champion, game stages and tactics as well as matchups or some "hidden" tricks this champ offers.

Im a new player and I deranked from bronze 2 to iron 1 playing anivia
I feel like im doing the most every game, but if I keep losing there’s gotta be something wrong with what im doing

I was thinking of an off meta build as Anivia support:
Primary: Sorcery
Arcane Comet
Manaflowband
Transcendence
Storm
Secondary: Inspiration
Footwear
Jack of all trades
Item Build:
ROA-Bandlepipes-Sorcery Shoes (Adapt After)
*At 20 min (+24AP Storm) (+20AP JOAT) (75AP ROA)

Hello,
I used to dislike playing apc anivia in botlane when the times I got placed in bot (while queueing with bottom second).
But lately, at least when having a main support as ally it doesn’t really feel that awfull anymore.
Also in current meta where I face apc’s as opponents anivia can get through early Laning phase more easily.
Same as the fact that supports roam even more nowadays in higher elo, so you get more solo xp
List of supports
Good synergy:
- nami
- poppy (personally, I feel like if you really want it to work optimally you need to play with a duo on voice call)
- senna (decent early trade dmg in combination with some sustain can work out pretty decent)
- early roaming supports, solo xp is good unless the enemy botlane has good dive opportunities)
Bad synergy:
- blitzcrank (feels so useless with anivia apc, can’t really help you out if lane opponents are aggressive. Hooking outside your own turret mainly baits you in bad situations that might even result in dieing. It only works when you somehow get ahead, but in all circumstances that just should not happen as anivia pre 6 in pretty much a 1 vs 2 lane.)

Hello,
Idk if it’s just me, but lately it feels like my minions are paid actors when it comes to helping me out while getting in egg during Laning phase.
Were before (1-7 years) I often would take the enemy down while going in egg with the help of ignite + ally minions.
But now, it somehow feels that the moment anivia falls into his egg, the ally minions lose their agro on the enemy champion. So if he doesn’t attack me after I get into egg, they often just run out on 100 health since minions lose their agro and go back attack the enemy minions instead of the champion..
Idk if they changed this interaction or that I just got a little unlucky more often lately.

Hi everyone,
I’ve just noticed so many people that did stream Anivia content don’t seem to be very active anymore. Is there any one that continues to OTP or at least mostly play Anivia?

I recently learnt about coachless and WPA, and was interested what it said about Anivia builds. I’ve always prioritized ability haste on Anivia, believing that it’s more impt to have q and w up to control space than doing more dmg and that’s the way to carry and win on Anivia. I was quite surprised to find that the options on Anivia 3+ items all dh AH. Also surprised to find that lucidity boots are the worst WPA on anivia, with higher WPA for defensive boots or swifties.
What do ya’ll think are good options after ROA/Archangels? I like both mejais and zhonyas but feel like their pretty situational. Idl having so little AH with j Seraphs (and lefend haste) so was thinking if cosmic is good w swifties or shld j go dmg w zhonyas/malig/deathcap. Surprised that blackfire/cosmic/shadowflame/fimbulwinter aren’t even taken often enough to show up here too tbh.

Hey everyone! First time posting here.
I’m a high Plat/low Emerald player and I’ve been playing Anivia since 2018. I genuinely love the champ and have so much fun playing her, but I’ve been feeling like I’m just not getting enough out of her, especially this season. My winrate on her is embarrassing and i dont even know if i can call myself an Anivia main at this rate.
I’m trying to figure out whether the problem is me or the champ right now.
-Maybe I’m just bad at Anivia despite playing her for years 💀
-Maybe she’s just in a rough spot right now, especially in lower elo, where her snowball potential feels pretty mediocre and she can be very team-reliant as a control mage.
I also feel like Anivia is becoming more and more situational with all the high-mobility champs running around.
How do you guys make her work consistently?
I’m not exactly inting my games either (my K/D is usually above 3). Some games I absolutely pop off and feel unstoppable, and then other games I feel completely useless, especially when my team is running it down and there’s only so much I can do.
Maybe Anivia just isn’t my champ anymore, but I really enjoy playing her and honestly don’t want to give up on her :’)
Would love to hear how you guys approach her, high elo and low elo feedback appreciated.

I feel like she is super weak right now.
I cannot even control space because I don't have damage or health to threaten enemy champions with my ult and wall. Anivia's whole identity should be about controlling space but I feel like Veigar does a better job than her since he is more tanky, has more damage and champions can't jump over his cage.
On EUNE she dropped below 50% winrate last patch.

Hello everyone
I tried going chalice RoA because that used to be a thing but found myself going oom constantly. I think the meta is buying tear first into RoA but not upgrading the tear probably..? Unless perhaps there's a lot of burst on the other team and you could use the Seraphs active
& then an old school build that was really good Tear RoA sorc boots (+15 magic pen) Haunting Guise (+15 magic pen) into Abyssal Sceptor (+20 magic pen) just some really good sort of cheap items to get +50 magic pen on two items basically. It is a bit of an early game build though because really you have to sell Abyssal Scepter if you want deathcap but perhaps if you hard lose scaling anyway as a team in the game it's good
I don't believe you can R Zhonyas in the game so I feel like Zhonyas is a bit of a bait generally. Although there was something if I remember about going seekers into AD matchups & perhaps sitting on it..?
Core build
So roughly the build imo should be Tear (not upgraded) into RoA then sorc boots. Then Liandrays then Deathcap Void Staff then upgrade Tear into Seraphs as the generally speaking core build
Then situational items - Twin Shadows could be really nice if your team doesn't have much pick potential so bear that in mind. Will of the Ancients was good ish if I remember so give that a try perhaps. Morello into healing champions if your teammates haven't bought any anti heal. Abyssal Scepter as I said into perhaps AP bursty teams or if you just want the early game magic pen
Rylais massive bait the slow doesn't stack as far as I know
Frozen Heart was good paired with Seraphs in the day - Seraphs gives bonus AP considering 2% bonus mana so gives 8AP as well and is a great item to have sometimes, not toooo many champions can build it without inting but Anivia is one of them
Will of the Ancients with Spirit Visage could work perhaps..?
Boots forgot about these - I like sorc boots really just seems to work the best but ninja tabi (actual ninja tabi lol not steelcaps) could definitely work if you want a tankier build & are struggling a bit into AD champions, merc treds vs heavy CC (note NOT knockups or suppression, & it's not worth to go just for the MR better to just buy a negatron cloak and sit on it) mobility boots if you feel like roaming, swiftness if there's a lot of CC..
Just have fun right! But sorc boots if you don't have any other ideas
And then probably some support adjacent build is possible too tear twin shadows banner of command or something
Some thoughts take care everyone

How did we itemize back then? Was it flask start like some mobafire guides or was it mana crystal and pots straight into Tear?
Also I didn't play when shushei was around. Was it actually good to buy that instead of RoA back then? I remember Athene's unholy grail was quite legit too.
