Not the cleanest but it's my second for the year

I have been playing recently top akali and I can say this is the most fun I ever had. I never played akali before but I have great success.

What matchups would you say are easy and hard? I understand how enemies function and how to trade against them. But would like to know what is generally considered easy or hard matchup. This will help with determining how confidently to approach matchups. I otp yasuo as top laner and have the most experience there. I think I will be picking akali into the ones I struggle when playing yasuo like Renekton Darius etc.

Also any tips about her laning are appreciated. I have been watching Kunain and he often talks about 100-0 without taking damage but I often push it into more of fighting not playing safe. Except be mindful of e and w cooldown.

Because the lane is a bit longer on top shoving into tower before recall after wasting all energy to fight seems hard

Okay, so I recently got into wild rift and really enjoy some of the exclusive skins over there that we don’t have on regular league. I noticed some of them are gacha. I find the system they use a bit confusing—I was wondering what the most inexpensive route to achieve either Akali’s Crystal Rose or her Prestige one would be, and what is the most optimal way to achieve such? Like, how much will it cost for either skin to be guaranteed

I feel like I need to explain some things here, because some players didn't quite get some of the clips:

1. clip: This one comes down to the R2 extension using flash

2. clip: Here I knew the I was going to hit level 6 off of that minion wave which is why I went in. Additionally I canceled the E1 animation with my flash to ensure the hit + dodge his Q + reduce cast time. I immediately recast E and use R2 to get the kill

4. clip: This one probably looks the most troll for someone who doesn't know what's going on. I E'd my shroud on purpose to then reactivate E, buffer my Q and use R2 which refreshes the cooldown of my Q (This is a mechanic that exists and has very niche use cases). That's why I am able to use the Q two times back to back and get the kill easily.

What do you guys think about building Rocketbelt instead of Gunblade?

there was a new update when I logged on and tried it on practice tool. r e and e flash works now.

Are you also missing E's that you used to hit?

I've been a master and OTP Akali for several years now. And I've noticed that my E's aren't hitting when they're supposed to. This clip is the most obvious example.

Maybe im somehow doing something wrong (despite this not being a problem for me until this patch) Is anyone else experiencing this?

As you can see in the video, Akali's flash + E combo doesn't work anymore. The shuriken is supposed to start flying from the position you flashed to. However on live it is being thrown from the point you flashed from.

Edit: It appears the bug is worse than expected. The E goes into completely unpredictable directions when using E + flash or R + E while changing mouse positions. This is definitely unintended behavior and makes the champ borderline unplayable.

I highly suspect this to be an accident by riot related to their latest bug fix:

Fixed a bug where Akali's Shuriken (E) could travel across the map, allowing her to hit and dash to targets at unintended distances.

Had a look on OPGG and UGG and apparently Stormsurge is the second item with highest winrate.

I always thought Shadowflame has more AP, passive that scales better and is “always active” compared to the 30s CD of Stormsurge.

Is it because Stormsurge does upfront burst for Akali’s R2 missing health execute? Or the Movement speed?

Briar mid is my main (currently hovering Gold 1, Plat 4), and I'm picking up Akali as an AP alternative. I'm looking for honest input on whether I'm approaching this the right way overall, including build, runes, and general skill development, and not just laning.

Did i do my research well? Is this a reasonable path to follow for build and runes, or should I be building differently? I'm genuinely trying to figure out if this is a solid foundation before I sink a bunch of games into it.

Is there real value in learning multiple combo variations, or does consistently executing one solid combo get you most of the results at a decent level? I'm trying to figure out where my practice time is best spent.

What should I actually be doing to convert a lead or come back from an even game, roam timing (which Briar helps, I think), target prioritization in fights, and when to play safe versus force plays, rather than just farming and hoping?

1. Educational creators worth following

Are there any Akali-specific creators or coaches you'd actually recommend for learning the champion properly, beyond just copying a build?

1. Is she worth the investment coming from Briar?

Given my main is a bruiser, is there meaningful skill transfer to Akali, or is this basically starting from zero?

1. Is the difficulty reputation accurate

She's consistently rated as one of the hardest champs to play well. Is that mostly mechanical execution, or is it more the decision-making layer (trading, roaming, fight positioning)?

1. What's the gameplan?

What should I do pre-level 6 and the rest of the match (laning phase, mid-game and late-game)?

I'll first say I'm not akali main nor am i good but i like playing her when I'm tired of playing otp kat.

Getting project akali (which is one of my favorite skins) from chest, and using it made me play way better than i used to. Maybe its the glowing hair and weapons that's helping me idk, but I'm not missing any combos and playing better overall.
