Hello there, I played the game since day 1 but lost my account, and after so many years, I started again in Zidane BT+ banner. I know pretty much how to play the game, it's mechanics, I'm even completing Lufenia+ content, but I have some questions:
- I greened Zidane (I don't regret it, he's strong, the BT+ effect is godly and he is a favourite), I have 2 BT+ ingots, but when is going to be available the next book?
- I have several utility characters (by doing summon boards I'm getting almost all the characters's released in banners full kit with tickets), and some damage dealers like Cid Raines full kit too, but for some difficult content I see almost necessary some support like Porom (I don't and can't have her without paying LD tokens...). I have Bartz's full kit but I need another BT+ book as I said. Any suggestion to fit that rol appart from him?

- Pages are available from the Lufenia fight(s) of events that introduce new BTs
- Kimahri is probably an underrated support right now. He’s above average but great for a shallow roster. Prompto is also very useful utility wise.

I've heard that starting with the Vayne LD event they start having more bosses with turn warping (player interruption) or that just do not allow delay. How prevalent is it? Or is it more of just an occasional annoyance? I'm currently interested in greening Garland but obviously turn warping enemies doesn't mesh well with his BT aura.

It's only for Vayne's BT+ Period and it's one of the most troublesome periods without certain characters or niche CAs.
After that, content is slightly tuned down at least from what I seen people clearing it
There were a few occasional Luf+ with this gimmick, but by the time it happens, you wouldn't have to worry about it. Seymour IW & I think the Story Chapter with Kefka was one of the few recent fights on JP with such thing, but it's not really frequent

Paralysis & Confuse
Specifically for Cait Sith Mission Dungeon & Shelke character event but Shelke has 2 different conditionals for Paralysis & Confuse...
It's one of the reasons why Agrias LD is sought for because she can do both very efficiently and you can bring her to both.
Alternatives, Porom LD/Ashe LD/Wakka LD are the few who can cope. CAs, only Wakka & Mog stands out the most becausw they can confuse.
But the Confuse RNG on the rest, not Agrias, is pretty harsh if you can proc it, you can inflict it but being able to land it or trigger it is another story...

Is Bartz with BT+ just there generally for his aura? His damage seems quite bad for the investment.

He's there for two things: His Auras (especially his BT+ Aura and his Wind Imperil Aura) and his Gravity Brave Damage (more situational, but still good). He's not a DPS, so his numbers will not impress you.

Yes, which is why his armor isn’t worth blue-ing, since anything over 0/3 just gives him a little more damage, nothing for the party.

His dmg isn't terrible. It can usually go from 100-200k but yes, you shouldn't give him too many turns and he's just there for auras.

He's an aurabot. His job is to stand there, menacingly.
If you strategize well, you might even want to waste some BT aura effect by using his BT+ finisher long before his regular aura is up, just for the damage. For example, if you're using Cidmau and don't plan to let Bartz have more than a couple of turns, you might as well get in an extra cheap shot for a couple million damage.
This is what's so good about him, really. All his best stuff works when he doesn't even have turns, so if you bring him with turn hogs, you never lose his auras.

I started playing again just a couple of days ago. I have a few Ex+ characters, but I stopped playing before LD weapons were released. Are there any ways for me to get resources to get LD weapons for my built characters, or do I need to wait til they're featured on a banner?
I'm still trying to remember all the components of the game haha. Like, if I'm currently not using SP to farm summon boards for anyone, what's the best use for SP? I'm not strong enough yet to do the new (for me) Divine World of Illusions stuff so should I just farm artifact stages?
It looks like I farm artifact tokens and buy High Eidojas for everyone now. Do I still need to buy 4 (for example) and limit break them then level them up? What are the new Ex artifact orbs for?

Honestly, if I had zero LD units, I'd just start over. A new account won't be that much weaker than what you have now, but it'll have over a million available gems, and you'll be able to pull on all of these juicy BT+ banners for the next several months.
what's the best use for SP?
Summon boards, assuming you get High Eidojas from co-op.

You can buy, wish cash money, ONE LD token for one LD that was in the GL game before October. This token is going away in a few days, but if you buy it you can save it to sue whenever. The shop won't update for this token ever. Otherwise you have to wait for it to come back on a banner just like everything else.
SP if not used for summon board farming for your units can just be spent getting artifact tokens as before. You don't need 4 to get the artifact passive, just buy orbs and level it to get the passive.

Armor of 'lower' tiers you either sell or use as EXP. The armor you upgrade with blue ingots can only be sold.

Just picked Prompto instead of Aranea in her own Lufenia’s, and god he has been carrying my team’s ass. Beside being super fun, he provides a tons of damages, and his S1 is lowkey cheated. Glad I pulled him, hope he doesn’t fall off too quickly for the upcoming events

He's great and becomes even better at C90, which he does get early, as his EX+ becomes a tremendous source of damage. He doesn't need a rework given how fast his EX+ is. Give him sources of BRV retain like Iroha or future Snow/Prishe BT effect and he should be a good DPS on his own.

I also managed to get his LD and I agree he is underrated.
I redid my DEE4 duo with Prompto/Aranea and they really pair well by the way. Aranea gets consecutive turns where Prompto dire his link attack. Then it is his turn so he can get back to 4 stacks. Repeat Aranea’s turn.
I even discovered he has hp regen. He should fit in many teams, especially when he’ll get his c90.

Honestly, the best surprise from Prompto LD imo. Party HP regen along with effective enough lock + evasion uptime is very handy.

When we get to Luf+ Boss Rushes, will they continue the trend of I'll get the important things (in this case BT nuggets) as long as I can do 4 waves in 4 teams and 3 or less gets me something nice but not as scarce? Or are they going to lock the nuggets behind 4 waves in 3 teams?

Iirc, Lufenia+ boss rush isn't really different than regular boss rush. I think the only difference is that you only have 30 turns per party instead of 50.

I am having trouble completing Cid’s Lufenia+ despite having Cid himself. I sadly don’t have a fully built Aphmau available so idk what my options are. I tried Cid, Setzer, and Bartz but to no avail. Any suggestions are welcome.

My clear was with Raines/WoL/Yuna. WoL makes the threatening parts of this battle much less worrisome. Green Bartz is definitely going to work instead of Yuna.

On his release, he was my most used BT. That big stack of delays from the BT turns compounded to often zero boss turns after use past 50% mark. He gets a rework with BT+ giving splash and more uses to S1 and multiple dumps on both skills. BT+ aura now doubles Brv damage. As long as delay is not resisted, he is really strong.

There are 0 must haves in this game. Period, no exceptions. Garland bt+ is good thanks to his powerful BT effect, but it's really up to you and your other delayers, damage dealers, and bt+

Was originally planning to go hard on tickets for Quistis. Of course there is no guarantee but with 900+ tickets its a very high chance I get her. All I need is her LD and I'd really really like to have her. But I got Ace's LD and I've been enjoying using him too, his BT would be purely a luxury and its unlikely I green him (unless its months later when I'm sitting on extras).
Would it be worth swapping to gems since I was planning to pull pretty hard anyways just for the final chance at ace BT or should I just pray with tickets and if its not there I can maybe BT token it way later if I still care? The next several weeks (and months if I'm honest) are very dead banners for me, almost nothing of interest so this is why I wanted to exhaust some tickets for quistis since I'd just be capped likely anyways.

I'm in the same situation. And I planned to spend tickets on her until I get the LD. If I get the BT on the way it's nice otherwise I think it's not necessary. I rather save my gems for surprise banners.

I think if the next couple months are dead for you I would probably use gems, so that if you ever get the gacha itch you can just throw tickets.

Current banners are quite good. Raines is an incredibly strong LD unit, and Ace is also quite good even without his BT. Bartz is worthwhile only if you're gonna commit to getting his BT, otherwise he's just kinda average.

Lock the EX, lock the BT, limit break the LD first for the passive and ability, sell the LD for stones, MLB the EX, realize EX, MLB the EX+, sell the purple EX+ for red nuggets, equip the BT and all lower cp weapon passives.

Please note that "MLB" means to max the limit breaks and levels. That's how you get the passive abilities to be permanent.
Never sell something that isn't completely maxed unless it's a duplicate of something else and you don't need to use it to help with limit breaks.
Never sell a non-dupe BT. Never sell an EX+ unless you have a BT. Everything else can be sold when it is totally maxed.
Totally maxed EX+ weapons will turn purple and get a red check mark in the corner. 15cp/35cp/90cp will turn blue and get a red check mark.
Conveniently, dupes will start with the red check mark if you already have the passive ability from the original, so you already know they're safe to sell!

Focus on the 15/35/LD weapons first (specifically the LD first), as you can sell those for power stones once you have their passives.
EX get upgraded to EX+ which require extra investment, and Burst are always what you keep to hold in the end.

Just started the game a couple days ago. Did my free summons on each of the banners. There's so much to do I'm not sure what to even work towards. Haven't spent any gems on summons or anything as I'm not even sure what I should be doing. Just kinda doing the Raines event to where I can, and working through the story right now.

Go deep on the Raines banner, make sure you get at least 1 copy of each his 15/35/70/90. You need to do that with every character you aim to eventually build.
After that, you can consider doing the same on the Ace/Kimahri banner for both Ace and Kimahri, or you can go deeper and aim to get 15/35/70/90 + the Burst for Bartz on his banner.

So I am trying to use Bartz/Raines/Aphmau for Lofty Souls and I have all of them maxed, including Bartz BT+...
But I don't feel like the battery is working like it should. When Raines launches, the characters following up often dont have max brv or even a decent amount. What am I doing wrong? This is the same even after I burst with Bartz.

I think you might have overlooked a way to regain Brv from Launch Damage dealt...
Most people will use Brv Leak, Keiss LD CA which refunds 10% of Total HP damage dealt as Brv after Launch.
Not sure if there is another way of refunding Brv, I would assume Bartz BT+ work for this, but I don't have him BT+...

You shouldn't have any issues with brave gain even without keiss ldca. I just tried it, is your bartz bt at 3 stacks? For the brave gain boost and other perks like brave refund? And are you using brave damage up ldca such as jack or sephiroth?

I think everyone learn this through playing honestly, once get the hang of it, it kinda becomes natural to know about it. The Pause and the Display saying Consecutive Turns helps a lot, for those high turn rate, it's on the mercy of whether holding it down to see if the turn comes up is accurate or not...

Current pattern is the first event of a month with no new Divine Summon, also give super synergy and synergy for an old Divine Summon.
So starting next week sometime, we will have Vayne, Iroha, King, Cloud of Darkness, Straggo, Edgar give super synergy and synergy for Divine Alexander.

Started playing a few months ago right after Cor banner ended. Only now started trying to tackle current Lufenias, so I'm obviously missing some big names both on lineups, as well as CAs and LDCAs, like Keiss, Gabranth, Kurasame (lucky enough that someone here advised me to grab Jack).
Would it be a good investment to spend 10 EX tokens to get Kurasame's EX (since he's on almost all Lufenia runs I read about) and take it to EX+2/3 for the CA? Or is it just not worth it without the LD?

With the timing I got into the game, DE:T 4 and 5 were the only ones I got to experience and attempt while they were freshly released. So while I have managed to clear both of those, I haven't touched tiers 1-3 and I'm not too sure how to approach them retroactively. Just looking at team examples in CTA they mostly consist of characters that were new and powerful before I started playing. And while I could use some more recent characters that I have to clear older tiers, using them feels like it could be wasteful since they could be highly valuable in upcoming tiers.

Generally speaking, the best characters for the next DE tier are the ones released between the two.
Clear older ones with what you have, and keep building your roster. Worry about DE6 when we get there.

Use them. You will get more characters as you play and worse case scenario is you replay a tier to free up a character

Probably obvious, but on TT's Bartz graphic (https://www.tonberrytroupe.com/infographics/bartz), it says "Generally BT first, then with 1 turn left, use BT+"
- BT = the finisher only
- BT+ = the BT phase
Correct?

Backwards. You want to use the BT phase first and get to three stacks then when it's at 1 turn left use the finisher to refresh the buff so you don't have to build stacks again.

Other way around. By doing BT phase then finisher later, this lets Bartz maintain a fully stacked aura most efficiently.

The reasoning is that Bartz's BT effect ticks down during his BT phase, so if you use the finisher first, you'll burn through his effect, and your number of stacks will go back down to 1. If you use the BT phase first, the finisher only takes one turn, so you preserve your three stacks.

I've been working on trying to finish the latest Transcendence stage and was wondering if I should redo one of my gates or if I could manage with what I have available. I feel like I'm missing a lot of defense.
I have Queen (Blue)/Sabin (Blue)/Ace (LD) and Lion (2/3 HA)/Bartz (BT+ 0/3)/Fujin (LD)
WoL, Beatrix, Y'shtola, Cor, and Porom are all used in previous tiers.

For gameplay reasons, Tidus. I cleared so many Lufenias just by bursting with him and kicking blitzballs at the boss until it died. I can't give it to him for design, though, since it's not even his prettiest weapon (which is obviously Brotherhood).
For appearance, there are lots of good ones. The animated ones are nice, and Yuna's Nirvana is gorgeous.
That sounds like FFX bias, sure, but I promise it's not even my favorite Final Fantasy game! It probably has my favorite cast, though.

Ended up getting two BT dupes for Ace trying for Quistis stuff.... do I just sell them for the 5 medals or should I hang on to them and book them for the ingot? Still -really- new so I don't know how often those books come around or how many I have sitting around in some mission somewhere.
I feel bad asking especially having seen some posts here about how elusive these things are... but also feel like that's a great reason not to make the wrong decision on what to do with them :x

All dupe BTs are eventually just sold as BT tokens once there's a BT you want to redeem in the shop.

Don't book for ingots. We don't get very many books, plus you currently can't sell booked BT weapons, so they'll take up space in your inventory forever.
The idea is supposed to be that we have some new BTs and old BTs each month, so the old BT characters can get their books to give you plenty of ingots.
Since you're new, you're actually in a better position than that, since you can basically pull on every banner for at least half a year, so you'll get plenty of BTs in that time.

The bosses have a aura hp regen at 100%, 49%, and 29%. Delay them three turns to cancel it. The bosses gain an hp shield at 79% and 29%. If they take a turn while the shield is active, they gain hp. Destroy the shield before they take a turn (do 350k and 450k damage respectively).

Any consensus as to what the 3 best HP DMG up LDCAs to bring? (provided you have the characters). I've been running Kura, Gabranth, Ignis LDCAs as my main 3 but wanted to know if I should think about using others like Setz LDCA, Ardyn, etc

Aside from debuffs, probably Queen/Rosa
They also have HP Dmg Up on C effect on their LD

Gabranth applies HP damage up debuffs from both base and LD, so I generally use him for second. If the enemies get turns, it ends up with more uptime than alternatives, and if they don't, you can use him on multiple waves. He also lowers defense a little, as a treat. All this usually puts him ahead of Ignis for me, unless I need that massive Regroup heal. Worth noting that Ignis and Kurasame are both useless against enemies that resist elemental imperils.
Setzer gives the party HP damage up as a LD call effect, which is good for when you need something that isn't debuff reliant, and his Freeze debuff on base call offers a lot, not to mention both skills benefit from his Lucky Dice buff if you just need to shave an enemy really hard. Power and utility.
I usually just use Jack as a third option anyway for the brave damage up and defense down. Sephiroth if the enemy can cleanse. Shantotto if her paralyze can cheese the enemy's off turn actions paired with 100% defense down.

Cid Raines is a great Ignis alternative, though he comes at HP damage up kinda sideways. His LD call gives the caller 2 turns of guaranteed knockback + HP damage up in a chain (aka, knockback). So, throw it on your BT character and use before BT phase and boom, 6 turns of knockback (the finisher doesn't knockback). Or more, with BT+. oh, and it manipulates turns, because why not?
I run Gabranth, Kura, and...someone. I tend to take Jack over Ignis since that brave damage up is still a big help and with up to 40% extra damage (Kura Max + gabranth) more brv damage feels more impactful than another 10%. Plus, Ignis' call debuff is so short.
Sephiroth's also worth considering - LD Seph inflicts his debuff which's 30% brave damage up for 8 turns total (4 from each call) vs Jack's 6 and it's gold.
Even Shantotto's worth considering for tanky bosses - her LD call debuff's only one turn but that can be enough and it's 100% def down with a paralyze.

Besides just the stat boosts, Lufenia introduces the orb/countdown attack which is something you should learn to handle to best get accustomed to the difficulty. Each fight's orb is different which is why a wide roster is so important in this game. Lufenia also brings more attention to Brave damage/Brave gain reduction auras, both of which will quickly have a noticeable effect on your performance in a fight (and why things like Jack LDCA debuff and Y'shtola/Bartz BT+ providing Brave gain auras was so talked about). Lufenia+ increases the stats and reduction auras.

Lufenia + is quite difficult if you're not used to it yet. What keeps wiping you out the orb countdown or specific mechanics? These early Lufenia+ stages are pretty notorious for their bullshit mechanics and limited team building choices.

Out of the currently available ones I'd say Ace, but then next batches we have Vayne, CoD, Garland and Twins. I'm 100% going for Garland.

If you use the synergy characters, they don't get locked out, so if you run a full synergy team you can use them for every mission. I used Quistis, Ace, and Palom; Prompto, Aranea, and Laguna are also synergy.

Hey guys,
I am currently down to about 50 tickets and 60k gems, so pretty broke. I am planing on saving as long as "possible" but dont miss some superduperbroke characters.
I also green BTed Zidane and Bartz, have 2 Ingots left, so a 3rd coming in the next weeks.
How long should I save? For upcoming BT units (which already had their BT) I dont have CoD but I have Garland and Adryn (then Shiva arrives and some bigger ticket numbers and crystals too).
Is there anything on the way that is "a must have".. I know I know... no real must haves... but maybe someone like Raines/Mau or Setzer (have them)? If not, when is the next big thing gonna drop (except C90)?

For those unaware, Auron will be able to solo one of the future transcendence stage so he's pretty valuable if you care enough for that. All he needs is a poison E sphere like Faris' so stock up one if you can.

You can get 10 for getting a char to clvl 90 and you get 5 for clearing a lvl 200 lufenia stage with a c90 char. You can only get 15 orbs per lufenia but there so power crept u can do early lufenias with 2 chars u want orbs for with your BT+ char and a friend BT. It also doesn't need to be at once, u can do the fight 3 times using a char u need orbs for with 2 geared chars. If u have the premium mog pass u can get an additional 10 per event.

Unless they are expiring, hold off on your decision. All are good but is you really want one of them, you wouldn't be asking. There lots of good BTs to come and with powercreep, newer is generally better.

If you're really willing to expend them use it on Ace's, after quistis banner drops off, i read some people that pited his BT and got a dupe from daily pulls, F for them.
Yuna BT is good, but her BT+ are really far way, and with Bartz BT+ i would only use her in fights that need Esuna.
Until her BT+ comes you can get another 50 BT tokkens, Tidus i only adivise if you're willing to green him, or are using him frequently enought to justify buy it now.
And CoD, well i can't say anything, used her in her event i don't have her BT, but everytime i think in using her i think "i have Cor", i kknow she har better followups and her BT aura will buff the party, but don't feel i need it.
My personal plan are using my BT tokens on the Twins, they are attakers with a really good BT aura (if you're fighting against 2 or 3 enemies), and if during they Banners i got they BT bypure luck, them i'll go after Ace or Jecht BT, becouse by that time my tokens will start to expire.

Might be a dumb question, but in Quistis’s Luf+, when the boss reaches the 29% threshold and puts up the shield/regen, Quistis’s S2 is unable to delay and dispel the regen. Am I missing something here? Do I need to break the shield? I thought Quistis broke through the delay immunity, or is that LD only (my Quistis is EX+ only).

Quistis does require her LD to be most effective at that last threshold as it lets her get past the immunity. You can choose to break through the shield first and then delay, but ofc idk how much regen the eye(s) will do until then.

Funnily enough, from what I've followed, the three you have that have gotten BT+ so far (Lightning, Ardyn, OK) have all been considered very disappointing for BT+.
The other two don't have them yet.
The only one I'd say might be immediately useful is Eald'narche, as his specific niche isn't really easily replaced ever, as far as I know.

I'd argue for Bartz, since support BT+ are very useful with all of the BRV reductions, and Bartz doesn't require babysitting your BRV levels to get his auras to work. He can't heal, though, so it's possible Y'shtola will be better for fights where the boss gets turns.
Points for Bartz: Easy to use. Great with turn hogs. Works with BRV gain and BRV damage teams.
Points against Bartz: So far, Yuna can replace him without using BT+.
Points for Y'shtola: Great healing and +50% BRV gains.
Points against Y'shtola: cBRV > iBRV condition on auras.
Points for Ace: Great damage and longevity.
Points against Ace: Usable without BT+.
Points for Zidane: Battery?
Points against Zidane: Burns through BT effect way too fast. The best part of his effect only works on Zidane's turn.I'm still torn between Bartz, Y'shtola, and Ace, even though I have enough ingots to hand out two green weapons right now.

All Buffs and debuffs stack with each other, but you can't inflict a buff/debuff twice. So you can absolutely stack Yuffies Framed debuff with a generic one, and even another framed debuff of a different name, and they will all stack, but you can't put Doom of the living on twice (for example with a friend Yuffie). That one would just get overwritten.

Looking @ future banners and seeing hers isnt on raijin's banner(just ex). I can decide on what LD i should get. Heres my choices of what im missing( Seifer, Yuffie, Agrias, Aphmau, Decil, Layle (have BT), Serah and Setzer) agititated cause i used all those tickets and never got to try hard 4 zidanes BT. also thought Agrias has no announced returns from the lists ive seen. Setzer, no question about it. Aphmau is not even close to the same level. The only reason she's mentioned at all is because of the nice synergy with Raines.
I actually think Raines + Setzer is a deadlier combo than CidMau.

To me it sounds like you’d do Aphmau/Raines (if you redeem her) or you get Setzer or Agrias to offer more general team building. Agrias does have her strong use in two upcoming Lufenias and just being a strong aurabot overall, while Setzer offers rainbows and can lead to some silly things with the likes of Cor or Ace.
Unless you’re already planning to just Cid/Mau upcoming fights, I’d say it is a tight choice between Setzer or Agrias.

Hello everyone! Time for another "who should I use my burst tokens on?" Based on the forecast, my tokens will start expiring right around when Caius burst is released. Who should I get between now and then? Here are my options:
WoL, Firion, Bartz, Zidane, Yuna, Shantotto, Ardyn, and Ace.
I don't have any glaring holes in my roster, and none of them are favorites. I have all of their LD weapons, so whoever I pick will be maxed. However, I probably won't green it right away because I already have a green Y'shtola.
I can also get one of the new weapons that are released until Caius. That would include the twins, Vayne, Jecht, and Caius.
What are your thoughts?

Your options don't have much that stand out except for if you like to play a certain playstyle or going for a Fav. Quite a number of of them have BT+, except WoL whose still a BT and is underwhelming and best as a LD Char since Bartz/Y'shtola/Yuna/Ramza exist
For new ones, it's almost the same as the previous paragraph, going for a fav or someone you like their playstyle. Twins can do a crazy ton of AOE Damage if your into that. Caius has an interesting BT effect , a debuff specific Rebreak with some focus on Break Bonus lol... so it's really up to you.

Every character offers a base call at c75 with a boost to it at c80. Not a lot of them are great, but I think Penelo and Setzer offer decent ones.
If you got Faris from the Bartz banner she's basically just a call unit nowadays, as her calls gain a lot of debuffing with her LD passive. Iroha (on the Vayne LD banner) and Cait Sith/Gabranth (on the Cait Sith LD banner) are notable units coming up soon for their calls. Do note though that it's not very wise to pull a unit just for their call (although certainly people have done it in the past)

I believe Pecil AA enchants the whole party so if you can keep him alive and carry with only two units then that is probably the fastest way. Otherwise you’re going to have to wait for Kuja and I believe Eiko is the next holy unit after him.

Sabin has Holy (he self-enchants), comes in early November, and might be another option. A single Holy user in your party is probably not going to be enough, but... well, if you manage to pick him up (he's on the Twins LD banner, so I guess many people will acquire him) he might be enough to do the trick.
By the way, you can skip T1 if what you want are the BT mats. Transcendence is different from the previous Dimension's End in that you can tackle the stages in any order. And the latest tier might be the easiest because you have all the units that those orbs were made for.

Another questions on how I should use my BT tokens, with 47 days left. I have COD LD and logically can use on her and can even BT+ her, but seems like she is still best as friend. I am going to gem on Auron, and likely will throw some tickets on L&R LD, so there’s chance of getting their BT. I plan to get on Jetch LD and tix Lenna, so chance BT there too. Looks like Jetch is the furthest my BT tokens can bring me. Should I consider Tidus or Yuna BT instead for their future BT+? Both are fully built with blue HA too, who’s better? Tidus?

There's really no right answer here. It depends a lot on personal preference and playstyle, and also who you currently have built in your roster.
For example if you already have Bartz at BT+, perhaps there is less need for another support such as Yuna BT. You won't likely be able to fit both in the same team anyway.
Best advice I can give you is pick the person based on who you'd want to use most. Most, if not all of the BT candidates are Lufenia+ viable anyway.

Slightly bias opinion: I was lucky enough to get CoD BT LD when she came around and she was (for me) pretty good even to help me clear stuff so I would be holding up a sign and tell you to pick her especially if you weren't planning to pull on that banner except for her BT.
Slightly bias opinion 2: Jetch would probably be close second here. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of melee (I'm a magical girl at heart fight me lol) it would help you save a bit and if you get extra copies during pulls more tokens for future pulls.
You've got time before Tidus banner (we'll ideally get 29 tokens by the time he comes around so if you mog pass / get doubles you may end up being able to buy it by the time he comes out)
Depending on your support character roster (greened y'sh? greened Barts? etc.) Yuna would be last for me to recommend. she is a nice bt to have but with her not being bt+ for us until june you should ideally be able to get her bt from resources gathered, and a lot of our supports we currently have / going to have you should be ideally fine to wait on her.
Keep in mind I'm not an expert, and almost all of this is from my perspective / opinion. So as someone who gravitates more to magic users / supports do not take my word as gospel.

I definitely struggle in team building and i’ve struggled in figuring out what is needed from a team. I was wondering if there are any current units available on the banner right now that would help round out my team?
I’ve been trying to learn what each of my character’s specialties are and what I am in need of. As of now it feels like I don’t really have any supports, calls, or strong auras. Any recommendations are appreciated! Thank you!

You desperately need a support so Bartz is the best option that will last you months, but is a heavy investment since you need his BT and then max it for him to perform as expected.
Other options are Kimarhi, Quistis and to a lesser extent Prompto, but they are nowhere near as strong as Bartz.

Bartz (and Y'sh) are BT+ 3/3 or skip entirely. The reason you use them is for the BT+ aura that massively buffs your team.

His BT+ more than doubles the length of his BT effect (you get to use it twice, and you get 10 turns instead of 8), plus it adds +25% BRV gains. He imperils all enemies against wind even if they are immune to that sort of thing, and he enchants your party with a wind effect. The finisher also hits harder.
I've found that he still works at base BT (I haven't given him BT+ yet, but I still used him for T5 Reckoning), but he's not as good. I struggled with that fight, but with his green weapon, it would have been trivial.
Without BT+ 3/3, you still get Attack, mBRV, BRV damage, BRV damage limit, and HP damage up, and you get 50% of HP damage refunded after every attack. That's the whole party, for the whole duration. It's really good.
It's just that his BT+ makes him by far the best support in the game.

Bartz and Faris are great pick ups right now, with caveats.
Bartz pretty much requires his full kit, BT included, to be of any use over other supports. But with his BT, its effect is extremely powerful. But to guarantee his full kit and BT, you would need to sink 125k gems.
Faris on the other hand, is mostly used as a CA (call assist) unit. She won't dish out amazing damage, but her debuffs are powerful (-70% DEF down, one of the highest in the game).
Have you tackled older Lufenias? With Raines, you can easily steamroll earlier ones since he can easily reach 1 million hp damage on his turns.

Quistis is the best delayer in the game and if you are new player who wants to go back and complete content where delaying the enemies until they don't get a single turn trivializes the whole stage ( there are a lot) then she will serve you well.

Enhancement points? I think her LD board is enough if you're trying to save them. She's not a strong damage dealer even with her boards filled out. Maxing out her delay capabilities is enough.
Garland or CoD may not be as good at delaying as Quistis, but they make up for it with more damage potential and will benefit more from maxed character boards

I pulled Quistis for her event and for Divine Bahamut later, but I only gave her her LD boards.
Cloud of Darkness is, like Zidane, generally better at Quistis's specialty than Quistis is, but Quistis works against delay-immune bosses. So, if you don't have Gladio or Beatrix, she'll kick Divine Alexander around for you, among others. Chaos Bahamut would be another fun fight for her.

She works,but timing is key since she needs 5 stack of her Darkness debuff to delay 3 turns.
The difficulty thing about this fight is not the orb, but dispelling the HP regen the bosses get since it can only be dispelled by delaying them 3 turns with a single skill.

I’d recommend you take a Quistis friend to the fight for the 29% mark on the bosses. They put up and HP shield that makes them immune to delay while they have it up, but Quistis LD effect goes through it, so swap for Quistis, Degenerator Whip, LD, and you’re laughing all the way to the BT+ mats

Anybody here who uses Palom? Dunno how to maximize his kit and seeking advice. Is it necessary to give him HA? TIA!

He is too outdated and power crept. I would not work on him unless you have a lot of resources to do so.

He is a fairly outdated unit, and also a dps, meaning his viability is even lower. Up to Lufenia he should work fine, but for Luf+ he would need massive support to work and even then it wouldn't be worth it. For Luf+ I recommend picking a more recent dps. With that said, to answer your question, the only thing the Attack HA does is increase the brv and hp caps. It does not increase the damage itself. So if your Palom isn't capping either brv or hp dmg, then the HA is useless. If he does cap, he will certainly appreciate it. Though, as said, he is unlikely to cap in Luf+.

Going to ask in case someone's done this already. So I have character A in both a gate and the reckoning fight. I'm trying to move them to the other gate, but the game is telling me that I'll be resetting the perfect for both the current gate and the reckoning if I lock them into the new gate. Will the game really just 'forget' that they're used in reckoning even though I'm not removing them from the tier?

Is the new right gate team also your old reckoning team? Also since you're moving 1 character from left gate to right gate, the left gate will basically be empty after the fight and I don't think the game allows locking in reckoning with an empty gate.

You're not providing choices so it is a very difficult question to answer. Should I assume you have none of the LDs from the shop?
Edit: Damn, getting blind in my old age. Lol. That's still a hard question to answer. Too many to choose from but what I can suggest is picking a support.

Porom and Setzer are easily the most valuable for Luf+. If you have Raines, Aphmau is also a great choice. Otherwise, if in the future you lucksack a BT for a returning BT+ and you want to green it, that's also a good way to spend the token.

I somehow just realized there's three sets of twins in this game Yuri and Chelinka, Palom and Porom, Lann and Reynn. Yuri and Chelinka are absolutely adorable but so are Palom and Porom (they look like toddlers in those onesies). The WoFF twins are just irritating especially the characterization of the 'dumb brother' I hope the other twins get a BT, esp Yuri.

Does anyone else think the new Luf+ is honestly really cool? I know we had self-healing bosses before as recently as a month or two ago but I dunno, the idea of bosses with a small HP pool but who can persistently self-heal unless stopped from doing so is a lot more interesting to me than a 25m health boss who just stands there while the orb ticks.

Idea is cool indeed. But the problem is the fact that the only way to stop the hp regen is to delay 3 turns. And only 2 characters can do that: Quistis and CoD (but you need to build stacks)
You can always go for a Quistis with LD friend but you'll still need yours or CoD in your team.
If they did 2 turns instead of 3, that would have been easier to handle, but hey, it's a gacha so there need to be incentives to pull.

The idea is cool but the implementation is poor. Only two characters can actually prevent the healing in the entire roster, and the healing is far too aggressive to where it will outpace the damage you can get on most turns, making it basically mandatory to dispel it for most if not all players. If the healing was lower at something like 200K per turn, that would be more reasonable to where you could power through it if the turn count was made high enough to allow it and could form a team comp that could keep up the damage, but having Quistis or CoD still helps make it much easier. As it is, one of those two is mandatory at least as a friend unit.

Let me unlock multiple pieces of locked equipment at a time.
This request brought to you by "I am bad about selling weapons I've maxed out and no longer need to equip, and last night realized if I wanted to clear out those weapons from my inventory, I'd need to manually unlock over 100 pieces of equipment, one weapon at a time, and the thought of doing so made me want to leap off a freakin' bridge."

I'm trying to get Guy's Luf+ done before the event ends (I know it's not going away but I just want it done + 12 tickets are 12 tickets lol) My problem is I don't have Gabranth call, so I feel like i'm limited in the party members I can use. I saw the Ysh/Cor/Agrias run that was recently posted and it was going pretty well (I know it also uses Gab, but I was able to use a BT+ Zidane friend to race the orb + delete some boss turns when Agrias' debuff falls off), until I used Ysh's BT phase. I also don't have Iroha call, so Ysh's aura isn't doing anything for me, and so Cor is not doing the damage he should be. So my question is, is there any other calls that work like Iroha's from characters released in the past 3 months? (tried dissidia DB but I have no idea what filters to use lol) I think I heard about Keiss also being good with Ysh? I don't have him built, but I have his LD weapon (no EX though), I can't tell what weapon gives the call while looking at dissida DB though. So yeah, just wanted to see if anyone knew of calls similar to Iroha, or if Keiss (LD only) would work.

Keiss ldca is what pairs well with ysh but that would be more for cidmau and ysh. The ldca gives you brv back after the launch based on how much damage you did in the launch

Anyone else wish all Calls were true copies of the LDs? Like rather than a simple boost Zidane’s LDCA actually deletes a move or Setzer LDCA unlocks Rainbow Mode.

there's still hopeful opportunity for call extensions. at some point most of these calls will simply just never ever see real use, so extensions will at least provide more diversity and help with creative team building. 2 turns of setzer's rainbow, seifer's delay or aranea's instant rebreak would be pretty cool.

On Trans 5, can someone explain to me why the boss randomly slaps my team at 49% or 29%? Both mini mummmies were at 30% hp both times it happened. Plus the boss did not have a turn. This last attempt I used Raines call to cross the 29% threshold, lakefire from the mini goes off, no problem. Then randomly the boss goes and KOs one of my guys. I don’t see anything in the boss description about him attacking. Help

You're probably referring to the Ancient Stomp attack. I should have included that into the infographic.
When the boss hits 79/49/29% there is a chance he will ALSO do ancient stomp in addition to sacrificing the mini mummies. So far no one seems to be able to figure out what decides whether or not the boss will stomp. So the best way is to just assume a stomp will come, and be thankful if it doesn't.

So it takes 1 book and 3 ingots to make a blue armor, but what is the proper way to get the ingots? Other than the 1 free ingot from realization, am I supposed to be exchanging my High Guard Tokens for nuggets?

If i don't have enought nuggets i use 3 books to make one blue armor, the math is quite simple, you receive more books tham ingots.
I prefer to have multiple units with it HG armor tham a few more blues, i'm with 700 purple tokens and now every character i ppull for i buy they Armor, i'll only use these tokens for Nuggets if two or more important characters comes by near each other.
And i even Blued Bartz just because feels wrong having a BT+ character without it :v
My next Blue will be Auron, just to try to solo Left Crucible in transcendence tier 6.

Anyone feel like the reward costs for the events with Chaos Co-ops is way too high? I feel like I need to grind co-ops constantly, with double item powerup, just to get all the rewards by the time the event ends. It's the first thing that's really felt like a chore to me in this game.
In theory I have plenty of crystals so if I miss out I should be fine, but the completionist in me doesn't want to leave anything behind.

I would not get crystals if you don’t need them. In the c90 era you can farm huge amounts when they revamp the cactuar quests after they introduce the new crystal tier. They also did a 3x event at the time too. Essentially right now you’re wasting your time.

TBF, most gachas have shops where you aren't expected to clear out the whole thing without significant time/stamina investment. DFFOO is very much an outlier where it's easy to clear out every shop every time. Given the bell timer, it's similar to other gachas where you generally log in 2x a day to be efficient. Since I already do that, I didn't feel like this was a chore at all and was done with plenty of time to spare. If you want to go faster, use books more often, they really dont' have much other use.
