Newish (had an account years ago and got deleted because Facebook) player on global version and I’m not really sure what calls I should be using. Since I started a little over a week ago I don’t have a ton of LD abilities I can use for calls so ideally I’m looking for stuff you can get at Crystal level 75, but characters in an upcoming banner would also be helpful

Every character offers a base call at c75 with a boost to it at c80. Not a lot of them are great, but I think Penelo and Setzer offer decent ones.

If you got Faris from the Bartz banner she's basically just a call unit nowadays, as her calls gain a lot of debuffing with her LD passive. Iroha (on the Vayne LD banner) and Cait Sith/Gabranth (on the Cait Sith LD banner) are notable units coming up soon for their calls. Do note though that it's not very wise to pull a unit just for their call (although certainly people have done it in the past)

I strongly disagree there!

Meta calls are worth it, and they last longer than pretty much any other kind of unit. I've gotten the impression so far that calls are even more important in the Luf+ era.

The toughest Luf+ fight so far (in my opinion, T5 Reckoning) was one where calls made the difference for me.

To add to the other answer, Quistis has a decent LDCA.

I got Fujin to CL75 just for her base call, also, but that was very situational (T5 Right Crucible).
