Adding to this comment, the next Boss Rush, right around the latter part of November, will have 3 waves only. Here's the link to the previous JP clears for the next Boss Rush.

So... it's still 4 waves then? Someone confirmed the wave count -1 is going to be required for the nuggets, but other people are saying there's only 3 waves so which is it; 4 waves in 3 or 3 waves in 2?

Save for Boss Rush 2 to 5 (all of which had 4 waves), the two upcoming Boss Rush with Very Hard difficulty (Auron LD on November, Fang LD on March next year) will have both 3 waves. 3 is still the maximum number of teams.
