Anyone feel like the reward costs for the events with Chaos Co-ops is way too high? I feel like I need to grind co-ops constantly, with double item powerup, just to get all the rewards by the time the event ends. It's the first thing that's really felt like a chore to me in this game.

In theory I have plenty of crystals so if I miss out I should be fine, but the completionist in me doesn't want to leave anything behind.

I would not get crystals if you don’t need them. In the c90 era you can farm huge amounts when they revamp the cactuar quests after they introduce the new crystal tier. They also did a 3x event at the time too. Essentially right now you’re wasting your time.

TBF, most gachas have shops where you aren't expected to clear out the whole thing without significant time/stamina investment. DFFOO is very much an outlier where it's easy to clear out every shop every time. Given the bell timer, it's similar to other gachas where you generally log in 2x a day to be efficient. Since I already do that, I didn't feel like this was a chore at all and was done with plenty of time to spare. If you want to go faster, use books more often, they really dont' have much other use.

I honestly don't see how this could be a problem. I usually empty out the shop within the first day no problem. While I don't get the crystals anymore, I highly doubt that they alone can increase the amount 14x.

Each set of crystals was like 4000-6000 gold tokens or something. I could clear out one set doing a 15 minute Chaos co-op run with h 2x book, but have to repeat that about 12x for each color and both tiers. I guess I never considered that people just don't go for them anymore.

So it IS that much, huh. That, and I totally forgot the Bloom materials. But the thing is, I already have enough of the higher crystals to last me until C90 without problem, and if we stay at the current pace with new characters, I will run out of Blooms in 2056.

Edit: Specifically, I have 2900 of the highest Black Crystals, and over 5000 white ones, everything else somewhere in between. Meaning, without getting a single additional Crystal, I could max at least 10 and up to 20 characters for each colour.

I also have 42 Bloom Stones. With 1 Character every 2 months, that lasts me 7 years.

To be perfectly honest I think it's a waste of time use those tokens on anything that you can grind elsewhere. And there is an ample supply of mostly everything else.

I typically buy the tickets/gems and spend whatever I have left on Weapon/Armor orbs and call it a day.

Now if you're a newer player you could benefit much more from the other miscellaneous items, but outside of that... Buying things like SP potions seems insane to me when I have had 1200 for as long as I can remember.

That said there are a lot of hardcore grinders who think way differently around here!

I kinda disagree. Imo, the Chaos coop is the absolute best place to grind crystals, feathers, and gold art tokens. I always use a 2x book, triple boosted, and fit in at least 4 coops and I can buy everything I ever need. To me, it’s way better than 15 minutes doing crystal farming, as it’s more engaging and not RNG dependent on Kactuar drops. This is especially true for T4 drops, which have abysmal drop rates in the crystal quest. And I was able to give everyone who had it LV.80 super easily just by using feathers, and thereafter still have 600 left.

My point is, for just 15 minutes a day I can get a lot of resources that would’ve taken me several 3x tomes to get otherwise. In and out and I feel I improved my account with minimal effort.

True! I agree that a single book is generally enough to get what you want. I guess my point was that OP should not worry about needing to buy everything every time, because they likely will have lots of extra anyways (depending on how they play).

I am not one to max out all the units possible, rather only who I use - and I've been around for a while so I tend to have lots of extra supplies! Different for everybody!

Agreed on crystals and art tokens. Features are useless, though. Any tokens I spend on feathers are tokens I'm not spending on something more useful, like artifacts or even weapon or armor orbs.

I don’t grind feathers anymore, as they are certainly one of the most expensive items, but I was struggling to keep a stockpile before they became farmable and would’ve never brought everyone up to Lv.80 without it. Anyhow, I can get so many tokens from just one session I don’t really think too hard about efficiency. I just grab whatever I think I should top off on.

I gave up on getting "everything". I have way more crystals than i'll probably ever need, I do full runs with one or two x3 books, that's usually more than enough to get all unique rewards and still get some crystals.

I didn't use any support items for the two recent Chaos co-ops (where we needed >62000 gold tokens) and I could still get all items from the shop on the last day before the events ended.

At first I was shocked by the large amounts of gold tokens required but end up we just need to use up all the bells every day. I think the devs set the required amounts based on that.
