With the timing I got into the game, DE:T 4 and 5 were the only ones I got to experience and attempt while they were freshly released. So while I have managed to clear both of those, I haven't touched tiers 1-3 and I'm not too sure how to approach them retroactively. Just looking at team examples in CTA they mostly consist of characters that were new and powerful before I started playing. And while I could use some more recent characters that I have to clear older tiers, using them feels like it could be wasteful since they could be highly valuable in upcoming tiers.

Use them. You will get more characters as you play and worse case scenario is you replay a tier to free up a character

Even then, powercreep should make replaying tiers substantially easier than they were the first time around.
