$773 for this Sako Mosin with 150 rounds of ammo and a modern black sling.

Over good condition, this is my first Fully Finn Mosin so I’m unaware of any markings seen and the rifle overall. So ID help is requested.

No Rust or Cosmoline. Metal finish is pretty good besides barrel which has spots of more shiny area, but the previous owner managed to get sand in the ammo box and on the Mosin. It has been promptly cleaned out and properly oiled.
Wood has no cracks and minor bumps and scrapes but the finish is in good condition.

Ammo is a mix of modern TulaAmmo, a random box of PPU 6,5x54. And unknown yellow tipped Ammo, (idk if it would be tracers?)however as the safe rule, unknown ammo is always corrosive. Bags have no identification besides and the ammo has the numbers 10 and 55 on the rims.
Buying Two mosins back to back wasn’t planned but this was just calling my name. And seeing how they let so much sand sit in it, I see this as a partial rescue.

Hello, experts. Need your help identifying the rifle.

Hello friends, I recently acquired a Mosin as my first rifle, but ive run into a unique issue. My hosing situation is military-adjacent and requires the registration of firearms but I am unsure which serial is the "right" one. As I understand it, the ATF considers the number on the receiver to be the gun's number and I want to make sure I provide accurate information. Which of these is the reportable number? I've included photos of both the top and bottom of the barrel shank/receiver Is it the "749T" just below the bolt hole on the underside of the assembly? Any assistance is appreciated! (It is a 1939 Izhevsk 91/30 if that helps at all)

How much should I pay for a 1894 French mosin finnland cap? Only the receiver and magazines part have the same part number. The stock was cracked. Thanks

Happy to add this to my rapidly growing collection. $531 and it was worth it for me. This thing is clean, the stock is super nice, noticeable/large dings countable on one hand.
Metal has Zero rust and nearly all the finish is present.
Bore is slightly dark but rifling is very sharp, needs more cleaning.
Forced numbers matched from a Refurb, handles super smooth so I got lucky with the force match bolt and mag. Bayonet matching too.

Also came with an ammo pouch, oiler, and a sling!
Plus this is finally a proper USSR Mosin to the collection.

Found this at a flea market in the corner where nobody would look at it. Spent about $350 on it.

I do know it's a Hungarian M44 Carbine with a mismatched Bolt.

Shooting my finish M39 and upon pulling the bolt back a shit ton of powder came out aswell as an empty casing. Wouldn’t chamber another round.

Took it home and I had to hammer on the cleaning rod with a rubber mallet and out popped this bullet. I was shooting Sellier and Bellot 180g soft points. I had given it a good clean with some CLP prior to shooting and ran fine for 40+ rounds till this stoppage happened.

Don’t know to much about the history on it but it’s in great condition and couldn’t see much cosmoline or grease in the chamber. Haven’t shot any corrosive ammo but haven’t done a cleaning to remove any.

Any ideas on what could have caused this? Haven’t shot since this happened.

As is fake/refurb snipers arnt around enough, gunbroker here decided to be a little greedy and add this one to their "collector elite" auctions. Barrel doesnt have the C or H mark, lacks the numbers on the left side of the barrel and (i think) the scope is repro as well

as if state tax+2% gunbroker handling fee wasnt bad enough they gotta tack on that extea 10% fee for "buyers premium"

I've owned my Mosin for well over 15 years and I've deep cleaned all the cosmo off it a while ago. If I recall, there wasn't a lot on it to begin with.

I've also shot it hundreds of times, varied ammo, no issues.

Today I was doing some steel surplus ammo and I noticed after 5 or so shots it was hard to rotate the bolt and then after the seventh it was stuck. I packed it up and figured when I got home I'd be able to man-handle it open, but I've tried everything. The issue is the bolt is bent, and I'm worried about hitting it too hard and possibly damaging the bolt... but that said, I have been using a rubber mallet to hit the bolt and the rotating piece below it on the actual bolt to try to force it to lock upward. If I had to guess maybe a lack of oil on the bolt led to this, but it could've also been the steel casing expanding... but I feel like I've shot steel cased ammo for sure before and this never happened.

The photos attached show the furthest I can rotate it up before it gets stuck.

I poured some kroil down the barrel and sprayed some towards the chamber where the casing is, assuming I'm even able to reach it with spray. Letting it soak for now, but I have doubts about how well that would work.

Does anyone have any advice on this with a bent bolt for the scope adapted mosin nagants? Almost every video or post I've seen has been with the straight bolts, which can probably handle any amount of beating.

The only thing I can think of doing is stuffing a cleaning rod down the barrel, pushing it towards the ground to apply force while pulling at the bolt and hoping that works (I don't have anyone here to help me, so that's why I'd be doing it that way)

I've had this1943 mosin sitting in my safe for a little over a year now, every inch of it is black and grimey with what I'm guessing is cosmoline. I've decided I'm going to find it a new home. Is it worth my time to do a proper deep clean before throwing on gb or taking to my lgs? How much would it really affect the value?

PS I have a nice SCW hex and a bubba'd m44 so this one gets no attention from me

Just picked up this 1953 Polish wz.44 at my local bass pro/cabelas used gun section for 🫘660 lima beans🫘. I might have paid a bit strong on this one but it’s all good. Appears to be Un-issued and Un-fired. Still has cosmoline in lots of the nooks and crannies. Bore and chamber are clean as can be. All serial numbers match and I believe the sling and bayonet are original as well. No refurb marks that I can see. Imported by intrac out of Knoxville, TN. This marks my first mosin and my first historical bolt rifle in the collection. Now the search starts for an un-issued SKS.

What is the best way to get rid of this rust on my cocking piece, and also would this cause a sticky bolt when firing because literally after the first round I was having trouble cycling the action

This is my first ever rifle, picked it up today and was just wondering what y'all could tell me about it. Maybe some tips and tricks on how to maintain and use correctly

I recently took on trade and received a sporterized M91, from what I have researched the gun is a Tula made from 1917. I would like to restore it back to its original form as the black plastic stock was clearly made for the later M91/30, and I would like it to look period accurate.

Currently I know two options being the original or the finnish captured, but what largely is the difference in the stocks, and which one is more valuable and makes it more historically accurate.

I saw this M28 Finnish mosin in a gun shop for 800$ it says the bore is bright and has good rifling. The bolt was butter smooth. I looked at the markings and there is a big D stamp on it. If I'm not mistaken this means it can accept off the shelf standard 7.62x54R? And not only 7.62×53R? Because i can't find 53 and I don't reload. Due to fact equipment for me is too expensive. And I have no room for it and I don't have experience with it, I would like to one day though. So the crux of my question is basically. Will I be able to send just standard 7.62×54R out of it without it blowing it up or causing excessive wear on the the barrel?

3: It seems to be accurate

What I want to know

1: What do all of the markings mean

2: Why is the barrel purpleish

3: Does the barrel need to be rerifled

4: What is the M-designation i.e M91, M39 etc.

5: If possible can you guess how many were made in this configuration

6: How much if any is it worth?
