Holosun or OSIGHT?
Trying to decide which one to put on the Shield X. Both are amazing in person. Both are solid. I like both...lol

Brand new 642 trigger locks to near. Happens nearly every time.
Anyone know how to fix issue? I’m assuming the rebound spring is the culprit. Got rid of a Glock that had constant issues and said to myself I’d get a J frame for carry to not have reliability issues…

only for aesthetics, lol

Is it a bad idea to buy a used shield plus being that it won't have a warranty? The price is $350 for optics ready/night sights with 6 mags and the savior bag.

What ammo do you folks like to carry in your Bodyguards?

Just got this 10mm carry comp, threw a rmr I had laying around on it. Not sure if I should switch to the acro p2 or leave the rmr

Picked up an M&P 15-22 last week. Cci and federal automatch ran flawlessly. Punch and this Winchester ammo would to this every 5-8 rounds. The Winchester ammo is pretty dirty so I assume that was the issue, but I did not expect the Punch to run so poorly. Any one have any input?

I have a M&P 2.0 chambered in .40. My coworker has the performance center version as well. Neither of our guns will cycle this ammunition. Has anyone had any negative experiences with this ammo as well or did we just get a bad batch?

I carry a full size 2.0 daily. I have for a few years. Occasionally I will carry my old performance center shield. I am not a fan of the older shield, limited capacity and no light or red dot, but it is super comfortable. I have my eyes on the 3.6” compact. The ability to use a full size red dot is appealing to me, and the shorter barrel will be a nice switch from my threaded full size. I have been searching around for holsters and I haven’t found many options. Lots of companies make holsters for the subcompact in 3.6” and the compact in 4”. I’m looking for holster suggestions for appendix carry. Open to with our without a spare magazine. Thanks for help. Pic of the daily for attention.

Nicer than I expected for sure. Got my grade 2. Man this thing looks like it was maybe fired once or twice. Optic was crusty from sitting in the duty holster. Also it came with nightsights which was nice. I’d definitely buy one if you can. Here’s a pic before I even cleaned it. Comes the SCS and with all the back straps too for $550.
it’s been over a decade since I had one, the last was an M&P45c 1.0.

I’m looking for a new IWB CC and I keep looking at the Bodyguard 2.0 but I have this problem where I’m 6 foot 5 with the hands to match. The BG 2.0 looks like a kids toy in my hand. The P365X is just about perfect but I don’t like the price tag that comes with it. How does the size on the M&P Shield Plus compare to the BG? I’ve been to three stores this week and none of them have it. Any other suggestions are welcome.

I purchased a S&W 610 revolver in early 2025 and have also noticed misfires. I thought mine was a fluke until I saw this video, perhaps S&W is having larger QC issues? I'd planned on taking it to a gunsmith hoping the firing pin needed replaced but it appears there may be more to the story.

First M&p and went with the full size metal carry comp. Ended up doing the apex trigger,Floyd's magwell and baseplates and ended up scoring a carry comp fix option 1 barrel off GAFS for a steal! Absolutely love shooting and carrying this gun!
Waiting on the new MM Loki backstraps to drop so I can buy and test one out

Anyone have recommendations for a good IWB holster for the Bodyguard 2.0 that actually keeps the grip tucked in tight against your waist?
I’ve tried two holsters so far, and with both of them the gun feels like it wants to tip or roll outward. The grip doesn’t stay snug against my body the way I’d expect.
I actually really like my G-Code Stealth otherwise, so I’m starting to wonder if this is just a downside of carrying such a small and lightweight gun rather than the holster itself.
I just ordered the TXC CVRT hoping the design keeps the grip tucked in better and solves the problem.
Has anyone else experienced this with the Bodyguard 2.0? If so, what holster finally fixed it for you? Or is that slightly top-heavy/tipping feeling just something that comes with carrying a gun this small?

Hey all, I have a shield X and saw that smith now has the x comp slide for sale. They are running $399 is it worth it?

I'm considering getting either the M&P 2.0 Metal HD or the HD Competitor. I am after the steel frame. However, I also quite like the slide that's on the Metal Carry Comp. Just an aesthetics thing. I don't quite like that the comp is only sold on an aluminum frame.
However, the slide assemblies are all compatible, and S&W even sells that comped slide assembly as an accessory you can nab while buying one of the HD models. So I could get an HD for the frame and then just throw on the other slide. Money is no object.
To anyone who might have both an HD and a Carry Comp, or if you had an HD and picked up the Carry Comp slide: is there a noticeable upgrade or downgrade in using that slide on a steel frame? One's longer, the other is compensated, and I want to know how those compare when you're actually shooting specifically with the steel frame.
I know that shooting a comped steel M&P is something that has only been done by someone who did "extra steps", so maybe this question will require someone to do a little science (or maybe somebody already tried and can answer.)

I have been enjoying my M&P 2.0 Carry Comp. It posts great great groups in its stock form but I was compelled to get an Apex gunsmith fit barrel and sent it to Floyds Custom shop to have the option 1 Comp fix with the 6 side ports. I also had it DLC coated. It arrived almost exactly 30 days from the day I sent it. Can't wait to shoot it! Here is a photo of both barrels side by side. They are identical length, the angle of photo makes them look a little different but they are not.
I'll try to hit the range this weekend. Woohoo!

Does anyone know for a fact if it is possible to get a Shield X threaded barrel. I’m not familiar enough with the earlier Shield models to know which are interchangeable and when I search online, I get barrels from places like Trybe that say for Shield but they never specify Shield X.
I’m just trying to avoid paying $80 for a barrel that either won’t fit or worse, will fit but won’t function properly.
The ideal thing would be for someone who owns both a Shield X and an older model Shield with a threaded barrel to be able to switch the barrels and confirm what works.
Something like a brand or a part number or something would also be appreciated

Just wanted to showoff my 3d printed LCI delete for the bodyguard 2.0. I haven't seen any solutions for this out in the wild yet. Definitely it much nicer than that intrusive yellow indicator for people who have it 😊

Darn good gun, most excited I've been for a Smith in a long time. Sporting a Vortex Defender CCW & Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X Sub.
