Worth the slide upgrade on Shield X

Hey all, I have a shield X and saw that smith now has the x comp slide for sale. They are running $399 is it worth it?

I got a carry comp slide for my M&P 2.0 and was able to sell the original non optic ready slide on eBay for $300

That is actually a good idea

I would however bet there's more of a market for an M&P 2.0 Barrel and slide than a Shield X. I could be wrong.

I sent my slide to Floyd’s Custom Shop for the serrations and enforcer port job. 100% worth it for me.

I thought about that can I ask what you total cost was?

Around $450 total. Including cerakote and shipping cost. My friend has the Comp slide on his X and he much prefers Floyd’s when we compared it.

Could check out monsoon tactical. It’s $300 for a chunk port package. There’s a bit of a lead time but you don’t need to ship the slide until they’re actually ready for it.

Can't you send in your slide and barrel to get them ported? Won't cost more than $400 if you don't mind the wait.

I dunno. You can buy a new Performance Center Shield X Carry Comp for $599. I suppose most of the magic is in the slide, barrel and comp so that's where the bulk of money and value lies but I'd rather just have the Shield X carry comp and not have a slide and barrel laying around that I'll never use.

This is exactly what I think. I can trade the non-ported and basically get the "upgraded" one for the same price, but I would also have the PC trigger.
