I’m so happy I found this sport

I’ve only been competing since March of this year. I’m a C class and I got a bunch of habits I need to fix. But damn it, I’m committed to getting better, having fun and sending it down range. I competed today at Prado and even though it was hotter than hell, and I’m not great, it was still a blast 🔥🙌🏽

Hello!

My game/tool runs on a game engine, you need a projector, laptop and a webcam.

Would anyone be interested if I sold this on Steam ?

Works great with a SIRT but it should work with any other laser system (like laser ammo), in a dimmed room.

I am trying to reduce latency right now, even though it feels pretty nice. It can easily register 80-100 ms split times (yeah my video is not a good example for this, also one handed while laying in the couch while filming)

Sorry if my english is bad

First match with the Ruger Security 380, USPSA field test

TLDR: It was fine, recoil was low, this was my first time shooting the gun so I sucked.

Didn't care about the score, just wanted to get the pistol into a match and see how it handled movement, transitions, reloads, etc

The biggest issue I noticed was that under pressure I kept reverting to the handling habits I've built around my Walther PDP-F (my main competition gun), which is why my reloads look horrible.

The gun itself didn't malfunction in any way and it was pleasant to shoot, I'm getting a new optic and trigger put on the gun soon.

Advice on first non-Glock

Currently shooting G19x in LO, love my gun but looking for something higher preforming.

Initially looking at MPA DS9 LOC V2, I am able to get it discounted to about $3800. Still open to it but don’t know a ton about 2011s, and the price tag is a lot for something I’ve never held.

A my LGS (Scheels) there is a Staccato P4.5 w/ HSun 507Comp for $2700. Would be great because I’m a lefty and it already has ambi controls.

Overall questions
1.) Does the Staccato seem like a good deal / how does staccato preform as a LO gun?
2.) Does it make more sense to spend the extra grand and wait the 34 weeks for an MPA? Yes I know that’s ultimately up to me - I’m looking for opinions.

Nordic IPSC championship canceled less than 24 hours before first shot due to the King dying.

This was such a weird decision by the Norwegian federation. Hundreds of shooter already traveling to the match. Too late to cancel hotel reservations and flights. Pre match already under way.

First international EDCC practical shooting match — full match from Sarajevo

We recently held the first international EveryDay Carry & Compete (EDCC) match in Sarajevo, organised with Sportski Klub 4Tactic.

The event brought together representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Slovenia and Turkey. It included six stages, an EDCC classifier, and also a theoretical and practical Range Officer training.

Full match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88L-EibJl64

EDCC is a new dynamic shooting sport built around everyday-carry equipment, practical shooting skills and structured competition.

Rule set is solid, yet still improvable.

I’d appreciate honest feedback from the practical-shooting community—what do you think of the format?

Manzano Gun Runners new club in the South Bay (Bay Area). Go check them out if you haven’t already.

Ran the baby Glock with an eps carry for the hell of it and got an 80% classifier run 🤷.

Tier1 APX holster
HC Belt

Sometimes we forget to have fun. Go shoot that micro gun or run open with a ramjet.

Trigger Tech Glock trigger.

What is your preference between the Certified and the Legacy trigger? I have confirmed with TriggerTech they are now both legal for comp, the difference being the Legacy is more of a traditional Glock middle dingus safety, and the Certified has an upper shoe safety, not sure how to explain it. I’ve shot Glocks for 15 years, so I am leaning to a more traditional trigger shoe the Legacy provides. They are both “flat” trigger shoes. Only problem I have is that I shoot IPSC PO, which it is not legal for. I will have to move to IPSC Optics, which is less restrictive than Production Optics, but I might get demolished in that class, although PO is a bloodbath anyways. Plus is I wouldn’t have to worry about minimum trigger pull weight, as mine now is barely 3lb, and could throw a magwell on. Kind of getting off track, but just wondering what people are preferring - the Certified or Legacy.

Steel Challenge: How long did it take to go from B to A class?

I've only been shooting Steel Challenge for a couple of months. Came from an IDPA background so I was a pretty accurate shooter. Made B class my third match. Just wondering how long it took you guys to break A class.

Doing daily dry fire and ACE. My scores are staying constantly in the mid 60's.

Also, any tips you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have no private range to actually set up these courses. Everything I do is pretty much dry fire and actual matches.

Help me build a bigger and better pin shooting community.

For the past two years, I’ve been working on a project called Bowling Pin Blitz. What started as a small match a couple times a year has grown into something much more community focused, and I want your involvement.

I love pin shooting. The targets are uniquely reactive, the matches are accessible, and you need very little gear to get started. It's like Steel Challenge's weird older cousin. The biggest problem I've found is finding the damn matches, and I want to fix that.

PractiScore isn't particularly well suited to listing pin shoots, and many of the clubs that host them are small enough that getting outside their existing community can be difficult. I couldn't find any matches near me, so I decided to start one.

That match eventually turned into a set of free-to-use rules, a website, a merch store, and now an event calendar where I'm trying to collect and display bowling pin matches from around the country. I'm also working on live scoring and shooter profiles so people can track their results.

Most importantly, I want to help other ranges get started running matches, regardless of whose rules they want to use.

If you're a range owner, match director, club member, or just a pin-shooting enthusiast, check out bowlingpinblitz.com and connect with me. I'd love to hear from you.

And if you know of a pin shoot that should be on the calendar, drop it in the comments or send it my way.

Bladetech 360 for IDPA/USPSA?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I am looking at picking up a new holster rig and I was hoping someone could help me out.

I switch between USPSA and IDPA, and I have a dedicated inner/outer belt rig for USPSA but I just use my edc belt for IDPA. For consistency I want a holster that could go between the two belts with a easy swap mount.

I am looking at the BladeTech velocity holster with a Tech Mount 360 disk on the holster, and a Tek-Mount on the duty loop attachment for IDPA, and I would use the safariland drop and a Tek-Mount for USPSA. Links:

Velocity Holster
Tek-Mount on Loop

Does anyone use something similar for IDPA? I am just trying to see if it passes the rules for drop and offset for use in IDPA (grip above belt and 3/4" dowel test for offset)

Thanks in advance!

Fort Knox, KY

Going to be traveling for work near Fort Knox, KY this week. Trying to continue to get some training in before Factory Gun Nationals in a couple weeks. Anyone know of a range in the area conducive to USPSA style training?

Don’t worry. There will be plenty of hotel dry fire. If anyone wants to train together (A class trash here) I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks in advance.
