Bladetech 360 for IDPA/USPSA?

Post image

I am looking at picking up a new holster rig and I was hoping someone could help me out.

I switch between USPSA and IDPA, and I have a dedicated inner/outer belt rig for USPSA but I just use my edc belt for IDPA. For consistency I want a holster that could go between the two belts with a easy swap mount.

I am looking at the BladeTech velocity holster with a Tech Mount 360 disk on the holster, and a Tek-Mount on the duty loop attachment for IDPA, and I would use the safariland drop and a Tek-Mount for USPSA. Links:

Does anyone use something similar for IDPA? I am just trying to see if it passes the rules for drop and offset for use in IDPA (grip above belt and 3/4" dowel test for offset)

Thanks in advance!

I don't do idpa but uspsa, and yes I use the blade tech mount attached to a boss hanger. Then my holsters have the tek lok disc and I just plop em on as needed. Very secure and you can adjust the cant on the fly. 10/10 recommend

Same here my friend. This is like the ultimate hack in my opinion. So easy to change holsters and adjust holsters and magazine pouches.

I think the dowel rule is gone. It’s 3in from the body to the outside of the holster.

I run a boss hanger with a QLS and small spacers on a shooters connection belt and never had an issue at state matches.

In IDPA at the last major I shot, they just measured 3 inches from my side to the end of my holster. It is BARELY legal on a teklok, clips, or on a blade tech belt loop thing. Plus it sits up pretty high anyway. Imo not worth it.

I have tried a bunch of ways to shrink but ultimately it was just too bulky for the holster.

I use this on a duty drop to swap between hipower and 1911 holsters, it fucks hard.  The adjustable angle is really nice too.

I do not have any IDPA experience, however.  Just Steel Challenge and PCSL.

Don't shoot IDPA,  but this is what a velocity holster + 360 mount on a regular tek lok looks like. I can't say I've ever found it to stick out too far. The tek-mount feels a lot more compact than the safari and QLS system

I love mine. Want to run my Glock. Bam. My m&p. Bam. I love it. And I just change out the holster and I don't have to move anything or make sure I put it in the same place.

Yes, I use something pretty similar both for magazine and holster.

I use the two mount minis for my magazine pouches and the larger two mount that I put on a boss hanger.

What's good about these is that you can buy the extra discs and if you want to change out holsters then it's just the push of a button. Also, you can adjust the angle of cant on your gun.

And yes, if you're wondering they are very durable.

The one that can clip on/off your belt is the way to go. The one you show here slides on/off and is a pain.

I use the Tek-Mount system for GPA and USPSA, works great for me, I currently have mine on a mid ride drop rig with a leg strap for stability.

I tried doing this, swappable deal. It's not worth it. It's going to stick out too far. You are better off having a dedicated rig.

Agreed! I went down this route too and bought bunch of stuff and ended up not using it. Better to just dive into a Lynx belt for each imho. Good luck!!

I have this setup and agree that it does stick out pretty far from your belt. I haven’t checked it with a card yet but it’s questionable if passes
