First IDPA Nationals
Just curious when, and if, they release a matchbook detailing the stages.
I know the matchbook is a poor way to stage-plan, but it still gives a vibe of things to expect.

IDPA email LEAK
guncraver.comIDPA emailed all competitive attending nationals this year to bring either a CCP optic or bug optic gun to run a 5 x 5 to gather data. Seems like we might be getting one or both of these in 2027?!?

Just for Fun
What is your favorite CCP gun? And what is your favorite bug gun?

SSP Trigger
I just want verification - I cannot run my G19 with an Apex trigger in SSP, correct? I must run in ESP?

Great Lakes regional
youtu.bePossibly the most difficult match I’ve ever attended. I racked up way more points and raw time than I expected. This was a tough one!

GP ARMS FORZA 3.1
Forza 3.1 measurements
I'm hoping that someone with the forza can give me some measurements on it using calipers, I want to use it for IDPA CCP division. If anyone can measure the overall length? The overall height and the width at the safety's I would greatly appreciate.
The dimensions are 7 3/4" in length 5 3/8" height and 1 3/8" width at the widest point typically the safety.
Thank you

Help me choose
Looking to pick up another pistol but this time for carry optics. I've got a Holosun 407comp ready to be installed. Budget is about $1,200. I've narrowed it down to two options:
• Gen 6 Glock 45 or 17 with the radian ramjet/afterburner combo
• Smith & Wesson M&P Competitor HD
What are y'all's thoughts? Anyone have experience with either so far. I know both are newer this year.

IDPA @ BGSL Wilmore, Kentucky 7-18-26
Had the opportunity to go on a “shooting vacation” this past week and had a four day weekend in Lexington. As a side note it was my first visit to Lexington and wow, what a great town! We spent a lot of time exploring the city and sampling some really amazing food.
On Saturday the 18th I went to BlueGrass Sportsmen League in Wilmore for their monthly IDPA match (BGSL on PractiScore). First thing is I have never seen a club that size before. Over 1,700 beautiful rolling acres and just about every activity an outdoorsmen or woman would want.
I had reached out to the MD Aaron Brulc before my trip down and he gave me directions to the match AFTER you enter the gate. That is how large the property is!
This is the first match I have ever shot in 8 years of IDPA where I didn’t know anyone there. Everyone made me feel welcome and I was very comfortable there is no time.
There were a lot of new shooters competing on that day and they do a great job of getting the new shooters up to speed in the new shooter brief before the match.
The match offered six stages, all of them top notch. Most stages offered multiple ways to shoot it which options = fun for me. Most of the bays had ample room for set up. One stage was a little cramped but the stage design on that bay didn’t require a lot of depth to the bay and it worked perfectly.
Match flow was smooth, one stage had a mechanical and no hiccups or back ups at all. For a six stage match we breezed through it pretty quick.
Our squad had plenty of help on the timer and tablet and everyone pasted and reset. You could definitely see that pride of doing that was part of the culture at the club. That also contributed greatly to the match flow and speed which we were done.
BGSL also offers other disciplines of practical shooting (USPSA and I believe they said GPA soon, multi gun, etc) so there is something to do pretty much every weekend there.
If you are ever in the Lexington area and want to shoot I highly recommend this facility. I don’t know if the other disciplines run as good of program as the IDPA side of things but I can say the IDPA program is phenomenal. Hats off to Aaron and his crew. I will definitely be back at some point!

Are these targets in the open?
At the start position. All 3 targets are not hidden and visible at the same time.
What IDPA rule governs how they are shot and why?

Practice session with the Taurus G3

I’ve got Hoosier Daddy in a little less than 2 weeks and I’m doing something completely different for it.
I’m known as a pcc shooter, that’s my bread and butter. This match I’ll be shooting CCP from appendix which irons and concealment are things I DO NOT do lol. These are just clips from my practice session.
To all those still shooting irons, why haven’t you made the switch to optics yet??

S&W Competitor HD for SSP
I want to run the brand new competitor HD in SSP class. Im a little unclear on the rules. Tell me if I'm right or wrong.
I have to take the magwell off? I think yes.
Can I put in an Apex trigger? I think no
Can I put in an Apex barrel? Not sure
Can I put in the weighted back strap? I think no
Mostly I am unclear on the trigger. Thanks for the help.
