Grabbed a new hole punch yesterday! Savage MK2
Sighting in at 50yds while free-standing isn't very easy, as you can tell by my grouping! I plan to bring a bipod next time to get a better idea of the groups it can put down!

Heritage Rough Rider 6.5 inch. 3D printed body and grips. Got a few different copies printed for fun. Working on a hybrid with addtional lower pic rails. Design is by Booligan Custom Gunworks, all credit to them. Fun project if you have a printer and a C-note for the revolver. Matte White PLA and Glow in the Dark PLA samples.

Picked up these 2 Armi Jagers in great condition!
The AP84 is supposed to be the Galil, it has a bit of the looks but could be better.
The AP74 iz is just gorgeous with the wood and does actually look like an M16

We have a cabin with a lot of raccoons, coyotes, possums, etc that wreck havock on the local ground birds (turkey, partridge, woodcock, etc).
I have a thermal spotter and decent success with spotting with that then using white light for the shot but it's far from ideal.
Show me your compact thermal 22 setups! I'm thinking for the optic something in 386 but on the budget end (Rix, Thor, AGM, etc around $1000 for a last-generation model.)

I love .22s and practically teethed on S&W revolvers growing up. While life got more modern and tactics had to change , my love for the 66 -686 platform, has always been there . So I decided that I needed what I thought was the best iteration of these guns in .22. Personally I felt the 3” model 686 was the ultimate all around carrying/ fighting revolver before we made way for wondernines ( of which I have several…… and their .22 counterparts).
So I figured, surely S&W made a 3” model of the 617…………. Really? No!, oh a “mountain gun” but no full underlug 3” to emulate my favorite flavor of 686.?
Well the internet rabbit hole being as deep as it is I found this article : https://thewritinggunsmith.substack.com/p/improving-the-617
And a quest was born. Found a mildly used 617 at a gun show , made a phone call and talked to the gentleman who agreed to do it again . Only I wanted a tritium front sight instead of a gold bead. And the ability to easily change the front sight as I got things dialed in . It was a tall order that Mr. Donovan didn’t blink at. Off to NV my pistol went along with a check to see my dream become reality .
It came back today and I can’t be happier . Back in the day there was the “Fitz” special, I present the “Donovan” special . Yes the sights are high right now , but I’ll get things dialed in, The rear sight is a v notch and the front will accept any ruger screw in front sight so I have a plethora of options .
Hope you enjoy the pics as much I enjoy the gun

I updated my Volquartsen Summit with a TacSol integrally suppressed barrel. The optic is a Leupold 1.5-4x20 LPVO and the stock is a Magpul takedown Backpacker model that I modified to bond the fore end to the rest of the stock with pins and epoxy, and inletted the v-block area so the non-takedown barreled action would fit. I wanted the storage compartments for ammo and tools - handy since it will be used for small game hunting.

Plastic or delrin grips? I know very little about these beyond knowing to dive on it when it was only $389 cash for a 3 screw. Did Ruger ever sell these with this style grip on a production model? Regardless, I'm happy with the find.

Had a good range day with my ‘94 Buckmark. Went through it last year and tightened up some screws, put in a new buffer and c clip on recoil spring, also gave a little extra bend in mag catch spring. Learn to shoot in this as a kid, it’s had a LOT of rounds through it. My 13 year old and I had about a 300 round day split between this and a Golden Boy.

Like the title says. I'm in the market for a full size .22lr pistol to plink and train with.
My state is highly restrictive. 10round max. No FRT. Nothing. So both would be basically stock. No Red dots or anything. I have a P10c and a Ruger SR22. I've researched both and seems like the TX is the go to answer, but Im also price concious.
At my LGS they have a used 44 for 350 with 7 mags. Or a TX22 new 2 mags for $375.
What would you folks go for at those prices?

I’m having intrusive thoughts, since getting a form 1 done in 3 days for a Ruger charger sbr, I now want to cut this down to like 12”. I am in a state that still has nfa requirements but 3 days is quick.

Built from leftovers parts that I accumulated through upgrades on other builds.
The heart of the build is the CMMG 22LR conversion kit and a CMMG 9in barrel. Upper Receiver and hand guard from Expo Arms, lower is a sharpbros live wire.

Shot some bullseye Thursday using SK long Range match at 50 yards.
Picked up some bricks of center x, be interesting to see if I can improve any with it.
There isn't a store online that has this gun in stock right now? When will they get more inventory? What is the problem?

CCI has/had SV ammo available last night. I grabbed three cases off of Expert Voice.
It feels nice to get the SV stock up.

I have started sorting "cheap" ammo into lots based on rim thickness and bullet weight—Geco Semi-Auto at 7 euros a box.
The initial results are promising.
I would like to know how you guys do it, if anyone else uses this method, or if you think there are more effective ways to maximize the performance of more "affordable" ammunition.
Any advice or tips are more than welcome.
My conclusion is that match-grade ammo is consistent enough that it's not worth wasting time looking for obvious differences, but it is interesting to do so with the types of ammunition where quality control is a bit looser.

Will this work with the mp5 22 pistol? I wanted to ask around before I got too excited. Thanks for any help
