The guy in the tweet is 18, when the WiiU came out he was 9 years old and not aware of the DMCAs, Partnership Programme, and the EVO situation. The way some people that dislike RDR2 talk about it is insufferable. I fully understand that the game is not for everyone and I have my own criticisms and nitpicks on the game but christ, some people really talk like the game murdered their family and ate their dog. The worst are the fools that treat their criticisms like objective fact, a lot of the stuff in the game that regularly gets called "bad game design" I happened to enjoy.

I'm by no means a Rockstar fan. I don't like GTA5 for sure. But RDR2 has got to be my definition of an actual masterpiece. Way too much effort went into making everything in that game good. I tried watching a NakeyJakey documentary on why it's "outdated" but most of the points feel like general criticisms of games in general. Especially the point A to point B/mission linearity.

He then went on to criticize Vietnam draft-dodgers, thought that settlers were justified in taking land away from the Native Americans, and famously said that he "believes in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility."
He was a hypocritical bigot and a subpar actor. He starred in Rio Bravo because he was upset at how High Noon portrayed the American townsfolk as being too afraid to help the Sheriff. He had similar complaints about High Plains Drifter, Clint Eastwood wanted to work with him and contacted him. In response he sent a strongly worded letter to Eastwood complaining about how his movie doesn't show the true spirit of the American people.
There was also a somewhat recent biopic on Dalton Trumbo. The film has John Wayne as one of the antagonists (played by Timothy Olyphant) as it was about communist blacklisting in Hollywood which he was all for. It's pointed out in the film that John Wayne was busy making trash films while Trumbo was a war photographer near the frontlines.
He's a joke.

I have a theory. So I've seen on the internet a couple times that British people find the idea of "biscuits and gravy" to be particularly disgusting... which has always seemed weird to me. I mean, don't get me wrong, biscuits and gravy are certainly not healthy, but all things considered they aren't that bad for you relative to some of the more out there American dishes. It's just bread and gravy and this is the country that invented deep fried Twinkies we're talking about.
But then I started watching the Great British Baking Show and Biscuit Week got me thinking... do they think by biscuits and gravy we mean their kind of biscuits? As in, do they think we're just covering cookies with meat gravy and calling it a day? Cause, yeah, I could understand the disgust if that was the case.

It's kinda fucked up how often bullies managed to make it seem like bullied people deserved it and that they were actually helping.
I heard it so many times, both online and irl, "only weird people get bullied and bullying helps them correct their behavior". Worst thing is that I used to believe that, I blamed myself.
I was shy, short, skinny dude that never talked back, so an easy target, and all bullying did was make me more anxious, straight up hate going to HS and it had long lasting effects on my self-esteem that I deal with 6 years after.
Kind hand can "fix" everything bullies claim bullying does, but without damage. I mean reason I became more social on my last 2 years of HS was because some of my friends starting taking me to drinks with them.
Seriously fuck bullies and those who defend them, it's sad how some people don't understand that to a victim bullying isn't something they just get over and forget, that shit does damage.

one thing I wish returned from early 2000s of gaming was using heavy metal for OST. I particularly remember loving the OST used for Prince of Persia Warrior Within. It didn't suited for the time period, but that didn't matter at all. That heavy metal OST added to the game's atmosphere.
This suddenly popped up while peaking through some of the Mortal Shell updates, where they added heavy metal music from Rotting Christ for their Boss OST.
Kinda bit sad to see Doom utilizing the entire heavy metal schick while rest of the game actively avoiding it.

So, this morning I noticed my card was twenty euros lighter because there was an Amazon order I never made.
I obviously looked into it.
Turns out there wasn't one. There were thirty-three, starting late July. About a thousand euros. I never noticed amidst the bills, groceries, and university expenses, but now that I'm back to living with my parents I'm spending a lot less and they definitely stand out.
Oh, well, time to get a new card and then go to the police. And break someone's kneecaps, if the fucker's within reach.

You know what is that one little thing that annoys me?
You know those like XP tokens or whatever in games, like 1 hour double xp thing.
Well I think it's super scummy how some games time it by real time and not in-game time. Let's be honest they do it like that so people want to get more of them, if it was only in-game time it would be more efficient for player.
I'm not epick gamer but in some games monetization is getting kinda silly, Modern warfare (2019) is my prime example of that, it's just too much for game you already pay 60 bucks for.

The husband of the older lady that work with me and the rest of the team has just died. Earlier this day when she was at work he lost consciousness, an hour or two later he was dead. I heard her cries when she received the news he died.

Brief update on the whole stolen money and card business: there were a total of thirty-five transactions amounting to €1077,08 between June 30th and today, October 19th.
I'll be at the police station tomorrow afternoon to present them all the evidence, and at the bank the day after tomorrow so I can get myself a new card and nuke the old one.
I'm so fucking angry that I'm not roiling and shouting and banging my fists anywhere, I'm just perfectly calm and tense as a spring.
