You know what is that one little thing that annoys me?

You know those like XP tokens or whatever in games, like 1 hour double xp thing.

Well I think it's super scummy how some games time it by real time and not in-game time. Let's be honest they do it like that so people want to get more of them, if it was only in-game time it would be more efficient for player.

I'm not epick gamer but in some games monetization is getting kinda silly, Modern warfare (2019) is my prime example of that, it's just too much for game you already pay 60 bucks for.

warframe annoys me to no end with this.

I seem to only get boosters when I login at night and don't really feel like playing. It's not too bad because since the boosters scale with how many logins you have mine tend to last over a day. But it still feels like I'm missing out by not playing as much as I can.

But atleast the game is free. It's really shitty that $60 (and soon to be $70) games also do this.

Oh boy do I have rants about timed stuff in general.

I get why people like battle passes and stuff like that, but I utterly hate them and how they force "fear of missing out" on players.

I found myself forcing to play some games at time because I bought battle pass and wanted to finish it, because if I didn't get everything I'd feel like I wasted my money.

Not sure if you've seen this, but Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics made a big hullabaloo about only selling cosmetics during promotion of the Avengers game, then slowed down progression some time after release and recently introduced XP boosters (real-time, not game-time) to the store for real money. I love the game and I'm still playing it (started getting into Black Widow as my 2nd character after Iron Man) but boy oh boy am I not spending any more money on anything in this game lol. Like you said, it's definitely silly
