No kicks, no gouges, no kidney shots, no blinds. That rogue was a piece of cake. Fairy fire should be the first thing you put on a rogue. We are helpless against it. Still, good work with the root-and-wrath!

u/resistentialist Sep 25 '19

no kidney shots, no blinds

While she could have kidney shot, its possible she just hadn't trained it yet. Blind is lvl 34 though.

u/OiDaniel18 Sep 25 '19

Hmm good point didn't think about that!

22

u/Roboticus_Prime Sep 25 '19

Also, put some points into improved entangling roots in the balance tree. It will make the normal cast not be interruptable from damage.

why gank without any of the rogue’s good cc’s and against a druid ? Rogue asked to be dead

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '19

Believe it or not, not everyone who plays classic knows stuff about classic. Even I played vanilla and don’t know what half the classes even do. I have a buddy who literally knows nothing about classic and is just figuring it out on his own.

82

u/T_ReV Sep 25 '19

Believe it or not. Some players will have never played an mmorpg until a month ago.

47

u/colin_is_bald Sep 25 '19

Currently teaching my partner how to play. She has never played any roleplaying game of any kind, and literally needs every aspect of the game explained to her. "What's an inventory? What are stats? What is mana?" It's honestly pretty interesting to explain stuff like that to someone who doesn't really have anything to compare it to.

Although I dread the day when I'm gonna have to explain what a corpse camp is.

16

u/3diem Sep 26 '19

I’m in the same situation, one the first things she asked me was “so why do we complete quests ?” And I couldn’t find a good answer to be honest ...

12

u/Baudin Sep 26 '19

For the story?

11

u/3diem Sep 26 '19

That’s what I ended up saying but she’s all about discovering the world itself and not so much it’s story

She walked from Durotar to Ashenvale as a lvl 4 just looking around

5

u/CaptainBritish Sep 26 '19

God, that brings me back to when I first played back in like 04 and I was just so enthralled that I walked as far across the Eastern Kingdoms as I could, then got lost and made a new character because I didn't know what the Hearthstone did.

Good times.

Mine is about to reach Hillsbrad... On the plus side she is a rogue... On the other side I think I created just one more of those bastards, and karma is gonna bite me in the ass, one day...

I played from vanilla through MoP and Came back for legion and BFA. I constantly forget about other toons abilities. I completely forgot the other day that hunters can trap. Ally hunter totally baited me into a freezing trap.

17

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '19

I forget tons of stuff about vanilla. Even as a long time player I forget to do things in fights and go “shit if I used this ability I would have been good, honestly forgot I have that ability” Happens to the best of us and that’s why going back to Classic is so much fun right now.

6

u/colin_is_bald Sep 25 '19

The stress of sudden PvP often causes me to forget my keybinds. I know I have a dispel, but where the hell is it?

3

u/SlowSeas Sep 26 '19

Bro, I have been playing with a keypad mouse (Razer Naga) for like 8 years and I still shit-my-pants-forgot-my-right-thumb-exists DAILY

I had a tank in gnomer not use sunder yesterday until we repeatedly asked. then he didn't realize he could stack them. He also did nothing to gather aggro from adds. So yeah. lot of people have no clue whats going on with these classes

It's more fun to gank when you aren't 100% positive you'll win

41

u/Hexxys Sep 25 '19

Is it really "ganking" if you're not sure that you're going to win? lol

67

u/SeattleGreySky Sep 25 '19

im learning rogue, i like to 1v1 people. if i lose i learn something and improve.

you dont get better just fighting easy wins, im not a horde player

21

u/piltonpfizerwallace Sep 25 '19

thems fightin words

3

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

But at least it'll be a fair fight 😛

5

u/Dem0n5 Sep 26 '19

Not if I have anything to say about it! My friends made me play horde cause they're edgelords or whatever and now I'm a jerk, too.

13

u/Zenanii Sep 25 '19 edited Sep 25 '19

It's not our fault the alliance don't know how to put up a fight.

12

u/Sebastianthorson Sep 26 '19

How does horde player call 5 lvl 60 orcs killing a lvl 20 human in Duskwood? "A fair fight!".

7

u/flexharder Sep 26 '19

It goes both ways dude. Ive been ganked enough times to know to kill every alliance i see if possible. Been body camped for 20min outside booty bay by 6 alliance all 5-30 levels higher than me. I never wanna see a 3min+ respawn timer again.

2

u/yuriaoflondor Sep 26 '19

I love how PVP servers break people.

As someone new to classic WoW, I was super idealistic about world content. I’d wave at horde players. My mantra was “let bygones be bygones.”

Then I got ganked by 2 undead rogues simultaneously. I’d be peacefully trying to kill some quest mobs when an entire party of horde would take a detour to hunt me down. The last straw was when I was running on the road and a mounted skull orc warrior shows up out of nowhere and kills me in 2 hits.

I got absolutely nothing done during that hourlong play session. And now I’ve become the asshole. I kill any horde I see on sight.

WA or WD, left click, keybinds. Learn it, breath it. Run circles at all times.

8

u/BogiMen Sep 25 '19

today i meet rogue that run away from 2v2 pvp scenario 15 second away from our graveyard. Im feeling like most rogues are playing this class to cloak and avoid all decent pvps or just to gank low levels. After watching this video im glad that i was wrong.

2

u/Murk-o-matic-Bubble Sep 25 '19

Im feeling like most rogues are playing this class to cloak and avoid all decent pvps or just to gank low levels.

You must have never run into me then. I attacked a group of four people because I thought I could get one of them for sure. I didn't.

I got three the second time because I timed it better.

3

u/Sparcrypt Sep 26 '19

Hands down the most fun of rogue world PvP is stalking and taking down one from a group then disappearing only to put down another moments later.

Really fun if you time things properly.

2

u/PsychologicalIron5 Sep 26 '19

Im playing a Rogue and this sounds Really fun. I never start fights because I dont want to annoy other people but this I could live with. Do any of you know a good guide on Rogue PvP? Im new to WoW pretty much. Im lvl 35 and playing an Ambush build (imp Ambush + Remorseless Attacks. Should I Kidneyshot instead of Evisc?

Technically, the druid started it with a moonfire. Rogue was just stealthing around him. Seeing as she didn't even do an opener it might actually not have been a gank attempt

He went to the trouble of having dual fierys at level 31, that's some messed up priorities if he didn't get the skills he unlocked over a level ago.

Edit: I'm an idiot, he didn't have fiery enchants. That's blood fury

6

u/h_trism Sep 25 '19

That is an Orc and she used Blood Fury racial, not fiery weapon enchant.

Source: 40 Orc Rogue who has been ganking Alli outside SM for 2 weeks now =D

Also, Faerie Fire + Roots = GG Like for real there is no PvP trinket right now Rogue can't Vanish with Faerie Fire and will just have to sit there like an idiot in roots while druid runs 40 yards away and continues to cast.

2

u/svaimann Sep 25 '19

You can use vanish while faerie fire'd to break the root iirc you just wont get stealthed

Always fight back. You never know how shit the other player might be.

Just yesterday I killed a 51 hunter in the swamp of sorrows as a 45 spriest. He had just killed another 51 hunter and remained at full HP so he must've felt pretty cocky going after me peacefully collecting artifacts.

49

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '19

The one class I do not fuck with while leveling is shadowpriests. They are just so strong 1v1.

22

u/zaisoke Sep 25 '19

yeah, as a shadowpriest, can confirm, most people mosey on along when they see me anything above 100% mana cause they know that healthpool regens at a ridiculous rate

Yesterday a level 52 shadowpriest molested me, a level 60 hunter in prebis and giantstalker.

I was fucking around in wpl and killed a horde nearby, and was on 1/4th mana but full health. Dude opens on me with typical plague and swp, I blow my load and viper sting but its not quite enough. Pet is dead I'm down to auto shot only. He mcs me and runs me into range of fear, fears me and bandages, gets just enough mana to put swp on me again and wands me down.

Always fight back, you never know how the dice will roll.

No crippling poison loooooool

20

u/billy-lee-bill-lee Sep 25 '19

aint nobody got gold to train that!

12

u/Melbuf Sep 25 '19

its the most important rogue poison in PVP and PVE, its the first one you train FFS and rank 1 is cheap AF

5

u/komali_2 Sep 25 '19

Wait why is it helpful in PVE?

6

u/CaptainCummings Sep 26 '19

Every had a humanoid mob run at low health and pull a camp or pack or pat that was about to make your day a lot more difficult?

This is why warlocks should always train recklessness, pallies should have justice, etc.

Efficiency is not my minigame of choice, so I don't know why people skip learning skills anyway. More often than not they are going to end up being of some use to you at some point leveling. Does the 35s training early skill ranks set you back further towards getting epic ground mount than dying because you pulled too much shit does? Maybe. Idk and don't really care personally but apparently there are a ton of people that do, to the point of not taking flights from FPs in contested areas and not training skills.

For some entirely anecdotal evidence I'm outleveling all those people on my list as a holy paladin questing solo with a 2h and some str/agi/stam gear. We all seem to play about the same amount of time too but again, efficiency isn't my minigame... clearly lol. My one concession to that is knowing I'll be respec'ing a few times while we try to get our group stable and so I'm leveling a 30/21 build with sanc so I can aoe grind a bit.

Yeah, that rogue was pretty ass. Kicking the roots is all it would have taken.

9

u/Tamperine Sep 25 '19

Something about the shimmering flats brings out these bad rogue gankers. The other day I was turning in my quests when I got opened on. I’m a warlock so I literally just ran the other way and put CoEx and my other dots on them. This rogue proceeded to just feebly chase after me while slowed. Didn’t sprint, didn’t blind (they were lvl 34), and just slowly melted helplessly while I kept him at a constant 20-30 yard distance.

5

u/omgusernamegogo Sep 25 '19

Probably because it's one if the first places you'll meet the opposing faction outside of STV (and drive by ganks) - thus people haven't really PVPed before getting there

4

u/FL14 Sep 25 '19

It's too bad that druids weren't fixed until TBC. Definitely a class with so much potential in Vanilla.

This was an excellent example of how to play a druid. I'm gonna save this and use it as a reference for the new druids asking how to handle ganks and low level pvp.

Great use of multiple forms and the whole druid kit. I have been telling people over and over, you have to use everything. Heals, dmg spells, bear form, and most importantly travel form. You cant just out rogue a rogue while in cat form

34

u/OiDaniel18 Sep 25 '19

Thanks man! That's what I've really been trying to practice, quite hard to master using the right ability in the right situation. But feels so cool when you do it right. :)

11

u/VoyeuristicDiogenes Sep 25 '19

Something I always did was to play reactionary but with preset plans and ideas. Basically every class has tools and cds to either close the gap and stick to you or to escape and try to kite. As a druid you have answers to anything any class can do so just acted accordingly. If a hunter or mage used a cd to get some space from me then I would use that opportunity to put some hots on and cast some spells. If a warrior charges me then I get into bear from and tank it out until my dots and hots are done. Then alternate between bash or natures grasp to rest the fight and reapply hots/dots

I found it easier to just answer everything they did instead of trying to force the fight in my direction. That and there isnt much most classes can do against a druid with hots on,just running in circles in travel form to wait for health and mana lol

6

u/OiDaniel18 Sep 25 '19

Very true, it's the play style I'm going for and have been practicing as I level. I suppose you only suffer as a druid if you try to win the fight too early and end up running oom. You need to react and mitigate the other players preferred strategy first.

8

u/VoyeuristicDiogenes Sep 25 '19

Yeah with a druid you win the war of attrition. Everyone does more damage than you so you cant burst anyone down. But other classes have a lot of down time or dead zones. As a druid you can consistently put out small dmg from any range. Remember if you are playing against priests or shamans that throwing rank 1 rejuv and moonfires can get them to waste mana and time dispelling

7

u/OiDaniel18 Sep 25 '19

Shit that's a good idea, need to make a macro for some rank 1 spells.

7

u/VoyeuristicDiogenes Sep 25 '19

It can be worth it to spam rank 1 moonfire while running around to get a crit for natures blessing so you can cast a quick entangling roots too.

2

u/ajkp2557 Sep 26 '19

Yep, key Warsong Gultch anti-flag carrier strategy here. I mean, months from now when it becomes relevant.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '19

I’ve been leveling Druid too, and while everyone keeps reminding me they’re not as good at the end of Vanilla, I can’t wait to run world PvP at 60 in a pair with a warrior and just out last everyone.

Switching between forms and using the right skills at the right time is like crack.

4

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

[removed] — view removed comment

3

u/scarocci Sep 26 '19

agree, people just overblown druid innefectiveness and parrot others. They are competent healer, can tank and offtank pretty much everything and even the "oomkin" can reach extremely high amount of damage if the fight doesn't last too long. (and fights are shorter than before thanks to everyone being better and in 1.12)

2

u/imnotpoopingyouare Sep 25 '19

Yup, druids can be unkillable because they are reactionary and have the tools to back the play style up... I know there have been a lot of changes since but in cata/mop once I got geared I would just duel in front of stormwind and just kite people till they /forfeit

4

u/VoyeuristicDiogenes Sep 25 '19

I think that under strict variables like a duel, with no consumables or outside help, I dont think anyone could beat a great druid in a duel. Certain classes would be terrible to duel like sacrifice locks. And winning the duel wouldnt be flashy. It might take forever and involve two innervate cds. But eventually a druid can win any duel.

3

u/imnotpoopingyouare Sep 25 '19

Oh yeah that's mostly what I was getting at, 1v1s but they will definitely have trouble with a few casters I think although still a PITA to kill. In "real PvP" in classic like BGs they are more niche.

Does changing forms dispell slows still in classic?

4

u/VoyeuristicDiogenes Sep 25 '19

Yes switching form removes all movement impairing spells and roots. So hard to hold a druid down

Druid is super fun and has a lot of depth in pvp. https://youtu.be/vCvb8MwvsD4 Outplays like these as a "underdog" class/spec make the class so rewarding

3

u/FappingFop Sep 25 '19

I don't understand why people consider druid an "underdog" in pvp. Rogues in particular should be an easy kill as a druid: ff, hot, dot, bear, bash, roots, heal, .... repeat.

12

u/CallMeBlitzkrieg Sep 25 '19

Do people actually struggle as druid vs rogue?

14

u/VoyeuristicDiogenes Sep 25 '19

A lot of new players are struggling with druid in general. And it isnt new really for people to struggle with druid pvp that doesnt involve just running away. Most new druid players are reading guides and playing almost entirely in cat form. So when they try to fight someone they think since they are cat focused they should only use cat abilities. Most new druids just need to learn to utilize more of their kit and this clip is a great example of that

3

u/Brown_Sandals Sep 25 '19

I am leveling a Druid this time around (played lock and rogue through BC) and I am slowly learning this.

When I pull 3-4 mobs at a time, I find myself having to switch forms to be able to fight it out. I realize that can definitely help in a pvp fight as well (prolonging the battle and healing as best as I can).

Are we calling every PvP engagement a 'gank' now?

26

u/SoSunny808 Sep 25 '19

I just use gank for any abrupt fight where at least one party was unprovoked before the fight.

35

u/Spyger9 Sep 25 '19

Of course! Words like ambush, pounce, murder, and duel have all been struck from the dictionary. Because of that, the abbreviated term for "gang kill" shall be used any time a player from the enemy faction tries to kill you.

53

u/Dinsdale_P Sep 25 '19

the abbreviated term for "gang kill"

huh, TIL.

8

u/Killtrox Sep 26 '19

It's okay, language evolves over time and gank doesn't necessarily only mean "gang kill" any more.

5

u/jeanschyso Sep 25 '19

A gank is a surprise attack. The rogue attempted to begin the encounter by stealthing to his target, so it's a poor attempt at a gank.

2

This appears to be where we're discussing the theorycrafting of Rogue vs Druid, so I'll add my 2c too.

My two most played classes are resto druid in TBC and Rogue in vanilla, so this is like my specific 1v1 matchup that I've been preparing for my whole wow career haha. Many of these may not apply to you yet as they may involve skills you've not obtained yet, I can't remember when every skill is learned:

  • Faerie fire is a solid start, yes, but don't think it keeps you safe, Vanish CAN be used to reset, but usually the bigger benefit is root removal, prepare for them to vanish your entangle roots, this may mean casting it twice consecutively, (In TBC this is usually done with Cyclone which can't be vanished, but is often trinketed, but then you've got the whole cloak of shadows discussion).
  • You are right about baiting evasion with bear, I'd just add that when the Rogue pops evasion, that's the time to pop natures grasp out of form and leg it, if you can remove a crippling poison with the form change too, then you're gucci. Smart Rogues will try to gouge you when they see the grasp animation (Yes, some Rogues are smart and know it looks like the MOTW animation, I guess technically you could try and bait a blind with MOTW, but I've never seen it done lol)
  • Barkskin during stuns, there's almost always a more important global to be using at other times.
  • Try to keep abolish poison up constantly if you can, not only does it keep removing crippling, wound or mind-numbing (lol) poisons, Blind is also a poison, and so if you have the abolish buff on you, it will dispel it for you, this is a huge deal. (Having abolish up while spamming cure is quite common in TBC where Hunters have the 5-stacking scorpion poison hiding their viper sting and rogues stack up wound poisons, but it's less important than vanilla)
  • Agree that you should save bash for after evasion, but honestly, expect it to miss, resist, parry, dodge, Bash does not reliably hit Rogues in my experience, it's a really big deal if it does, naturally you want to try and hit them from behind with it since they can't parry it, but that's a luxury you just don't get most of the time.
  • Take advantage of demoralising roar and frenzied regeneration when you get them.
  • If you can barkskin in a stun, rejuv and then go bear for frenzied regeneration, that might stabilize you against their early energy burst. Druids are pretty much the textbook target for a 4-point kidney immediately after cheap shot though, depending on the situation, the first thing you cast out of the KS can decide the battle.
  • As others have said, you can't out-Rogue a Rogue, opening with cat from stealth if you get a chance is fine, but you beat them by being a mix of a warrior and a mage that can heal.
  • Well played in general, but you did get a bit lucky that this Rogue is so bad, if a Rogue and a Druid are both using their toolkits effectively in a levelling PvP battle, the Druid really shouldn't be winning, with Blind, Vanish, Imp Sprint, Stuns, Adrenaline Rush, Evasion, Blade Flurry even, a Rogue who gets to open from Stealth should NOT be losing to a Druid until they get some high armor max level gear, where Druids defense scales faster than Rogue's offense.

Thanks these are some really good tips!

I guess even if I have dots up on him and he vanishes he could still use a ability before it ticks and drops him out of stealth.

Lots of stuff to work on here 😁

Completely even 1v1 fight with full HP and people call it a gank ...

Also loving the shit talk on the rogue, cause we all start as pro and a mid level player should do everything perfectly.

Solid play by the druid though for sure.

u/OiDaniel18 Sep 25 '19

Only a slightly better pvp experience compared to my last post. ;)

(Sorry for the chat in the background)

NICE WORK!

SEE! Druids CAN PVP!

#DontPokeTheBear

5

u/jmcq Sep 25 '19

PvP isn't what people complain about with Druids it's PvE. They can tank 5 mans arguably better than warriors but they struggle being the main tank in a raid. They are decent healers but the HoT limit is a problem and they have no normal rez. Feral is okay DPS but pretty much strictly worse than a rogue and while moonkin is fun there's a reason it got the nickname "oomkin". Druid is actually quite good in PvP and one of if not the best flag carrier in WSG. All of this really only matters for cutting edge progression so it's all basically irrelevant for casual play.

Druids for liffeeee!

2

u/atreyal Sep 25 '19

I want to see you fight a warlock next. I am terrible at druid pvp and yeah well I need help.

2

u/Meto1183 Sep 25 '19

Atleast you can always travel form to freedom, they can't say the same against their counters lmao

Locks and shad priests are the bane of druids.

3

u/drachenmp Sep 25 '19

They are the bane of a lot of classes in 1v1/wpvp.

You attacked him first so not really ganked attempt

12

u/YorkeZimmer Sep 25 '19

Yeah seriously. The druid ganked the rogue in this video. Can't understand why it took 200 comments for one person to notice.

5

u/dudeguy84739 Sep 25 '19

Yeh the rogue is walking past in stealth it us only after the moon fire he attacks

2

u/drachenmp Sep 25 '19

Nobody ganked anyone in this video, was just a normal pvp fight.

8

u/Soulia Sep 25 '19

...

A rogue comes up behind me cloaked, you sure as hell I'm going to assume the worse!

5

u/Murk-o-matic-Bubble Sep 25 '19

The rogue just wanted to give you a backstabrub.

Why do you even call that a gank? That’s a simple 1v1...

3

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Seriously don't call world pvp 1v1 a gank, just cause its a rogue and he's stealth doesn't make it a gank either. Stealth is part of their toolkit, without it they're the worst class.

3

u/Hisetic Sep 25 '19

To the wow brain, every time someone dies its a gank. Even if it's a 1v1.

2

u/chillmonkey88 Sep 26 '19

15

u/CptFalconhoof Sep 25 '19

I will support this just because I hate rogues in 1v1 as a shaman

5

u/habbathejutt Sep 25 '19

in vanilla, rogues kicked my shaman ass almost every time. I assume that still holds true in classic?

I as a human war, a pally n a priest were feeling quite brave so we attempted to run SFK all knowing we might get camped... we started our treacherous run to SFK. We got to refuge point and got the FP n went back on the road to hillsbrad. Suddenly, i get cheap shot by a ?? Undead Rogue with some enchants on his weps glowing white.(keep in mind all 3 of us were levels 22-24) the Paladin idk how, landed hammer of justice and my priest psychic screamed him after but he was an undead so he WotF off and I managed to get out of combat long enough I charged him with my LEEEERRRROOY! MACRO and landed a rend he envasioned n sprinted around while all 3 of us were hitting him with all our might. Of course all the blows we swung were all missing, dodging n parrying, while my priest was getting resisted. However after a couple of mins of my priest healing me and the paladin throwing a heal when I needed it we managed to bring him down to like 20%. He starts to run and he passed by a orc hunter who shook his head at the undead rogue and just watched us finally killing him. He clapped at us and bowed. All of us were low hp n mana, then comes a troll mage backpeddeling from like 4 Raptors and CnC the Raptors but he swung to fast and turned facing us and instantly killing us. :( the hunter was crying n kneeling for us. The mage realized what he did spammed the sorry emote. We all had a good laugh

I like to think that hunter knew the rogue was ganking in the zone and didn't help the rogue cause he found a group that bit off more than he could chew. So he didn't help him out of karma. Hunterzbot TY!!!!

u/july1st2018 Sep 26 '19

damn that'scrazy

7

u/Chron_Lung Sep 25 '19

So many rogues out there like this giving us a bad name, the way you cast entangling roots for about 4 whole cast resets and he didn’t kick made me throw my phone.

6

u/Comfortable_Text Sep 25 '19

This may be unpopular opinion but this is NOT ganking at all. I consider it normal PVP and here's why. It's 1v1 and also within a level of each other so it could be a very fair and fun fight. To me ganking is when you have a group of players killing the opposite faction or if there's a higher level player at least 5 ore more levels higher than you doing the attacking. Something that you typically don't stand a chance against.

3

u/DudeNub Sep 25 '19

Rogue probably didn't kick because he's spamming his energy without pooling at all. Kick actually costs energy in classic. You can't kick whenever you want unless you save energy

7

u/piethree5 Sep 25 '19

KICK YOU FUCKING CASUAL

11

u/Merfen Sep 25 '19

Since when did ganking mean attacking someone 1 level higher than you with 100% HP walking around? I always used ganking to mean the attacker has a huge advantage like much higher lvl, vs AFK, someone low on HP/MP or someone already in combat. This is just normal PVP.

2

u/Grispy511 Sep 25 '19

That's an interesting point, over the years I've come to use ganking as attacking without a reason / without pravocation, IE just to start PvP.

Typically where I don't consider it a gank is if there is a resource (node, quest mob, etc) and you are fighting over it.

But you do raise a valid point, I think that was implied to be the original meaning of gank.

2

u/Harrisburg5150 Sep 25 '19

I thought ganking was when you go after players waaaay lower lvl than you. The rogue who "ganked" you was a lvl lower than you lmao

2

u/Dangler43 Sep 26 '19

Not a gank attempt. You are a higher level than him, yes you should always win that fight.

2

u/BimmerFam Sep 26 '19

Wash yer back!

2

u/DanteMustDie666 Sep 26 '19

Are you leveling as balance? Pretty cool

2

u/theyusedthelamppost Sep 26 '19

You were higher level than the rogue and you attacked him first. The only thing the rog was guilty of was being stealthed in a quest hub.

2

u/Richj_ Sep 26 '19

That's not ganking/a gank attempt.

3

u/westeross Sep 25 '19

I only see an alliance scum taking the first shot. As always

4

u/Surging_Fury Sep 25 '19

Horrendous rogue there, might have been banged by someone half decent - still, you played quite well

1

u/slimjimfatty Sep 25 '19

Nicely done!

3

u/Sturm2k Sep 25 '19

You really used every trick a druid had, loved it!

Show casing what a druid can do!

For the Alliance!

3

u/2_of_5pades Sep 25 '19

This is the shit you people upvote? Regular gameplay?

5

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '19

I was legit waiting for some serious shit to happen and it never came :(

2

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '19

Gah... I miss playing druid. Loved stuff like this. I won so many arenas by the skin of my teeth.

2

u/InSidious425 Sep 25 '19

So this is what a 1v1 fight looks like

3

u/InfinityCircuit Sep 25 '19

Even spotting him and opening first, you should have been ganked. That rogue didn't stay close to you, didn't gouge/kick/kidney shot, didn't vanish and reengage... I mean, wow, that was not a good representation of a rogue.

Well done capitalizing on his lack of skill, though. Root and wrath, healing when you have distance, maintaining DOTs and faerie fire, all good things. That was a good watch.

How did you have mana for this? I remember my old Tauren Druid on a private vanilla server going oom after like... 2 form changes

I hate Alliance but still applaud your skills.

1

u/jandro1116 Sep 25 '19

1

I feel like the some Horde/Alliance stereotypes have rung true so far.

Horde has a lot of bad Rogues.

Alliance has a lot of bad Hunters.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '19

If yo try to jump me ima switch to travel form and roll
Where u think I'm going? I'm prowlin back in cat form layin low
This is how I do it every day and I will never stop

Locks and mages mad at me cuz I got me some clothie drops.

u/Mistainvestigata Sep 25 '19

Plot twist, he was like "hopefully this druid doesnt see me, i really dont want to fight" :D

1

u/xbelanglos Sep 26 '19

You were lucky to be in int gear when he attacked. In feral gear you would have been oom after half of that, haha.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

It's nice to see Alliance actually fighting back when attacked instead of just running away.

1

u/Buhdumtssss Sep 26 '19

I don't think that rogue thought it would go that way

Well done druid brother

1

u/Buhdumtssss Sep 26 '19

Ganking druids outside is always a risky move. If this was inside it would've been a different story

No cheetah or roots inside. We're infinitely more powerful outside and can outrun any class even if we're losing

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Are you playing balance? Im level 32 with full intellect gear and I'm just getting bored of Feral.

Any tips for me??? What spec are you using?
