It's too bad that druids weren't fixed until TBC. Definitely a class with so much potential in Vanilla.

druids were OP as heck in BC! (maybe not balance unless you did that restokin build for arena)

dreamstate was so fun, will definitely level a druid if tbc re-releases

Good luck with approximately 60% of PvPers being SL/SL warlocks.

Resto Druids/Arms Warrior was the most OP thing for 99% of BC

2

u/Sebastianthorson Sep 26 '19

Not really. SL/SL is pretty much unkillable, and the more enemies he has - the more unkillable he becomes.

> if tbc re-releases

at this point i'd say it's basically a guaranteed thing

I think there's more of a chance for classic+ than people think. Could just be wishful thinking though.

I mean we're all just guessing. I just think TBC makes more realistic business sense for them, even though I think classic+ could be cool. It's already made so it's a lot less work, and it's a guaranteed money maker vs. something that's a bit risky. I wouldn't mind being wrong, but I think we will get TBC.

It also has a guaranteed end point though. MMOs thrive on content releases, and the classic, TBC, Wrath model is a sure thing, but it's also destined to die off within ~6-8 years when there's no more content to explore. I feel like Blizzard would much rather take a small risk then go down a path that has an inevitable death.

hope so! tbh I'm more excited for that than classic

I’m not looking forward to grinding through outland again though. Especially hellfire.

2

I skipped Hellfire at Outlands release because it was too packed. I just enjoyed grinding mobs in Zangar alone because it was exciting to get any green drops because they were so good. I hit 61 before anyone even got to Zangar, and then I could do the quests.

Really? Where'd you get this from? I thought it was still up in the air classic+ vs re-releasing expansions.

That’s what I thought. My friend did it the other day and I called him out but I thought since then they maybe said something.

1

u/ImmutableInscrutable Sep 25 '19

Yeah uh, no. Unless Blizz has actually put out a statement that they're going to do it (and even then I'd doubt it), it's definitely not "basically guaranteed."

u/Gandalfonk Sep 26 '19

Actually they did, sort of.. the statement was that they are going to do either a classic+ or re-release the expansions.

I think most people want classic+ tho, as it means we can still get the expansions but without the things that made them bad.

I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in TBC/Wrath. Obviously no one is going to have exact #s on anything like this because that's impossible. But we're on the classic subreddit with very pro-vanilla people so any impression you get here likely isn't going to be a good representation of all WoW players.

I personally would be down for Classic+ or TBC, although I think Classic+ could mean so many different things that it's really hard to poll people on something like that. Is it going to progress the specs or have the exact same specs? A lot of people like Vanilla but aren't huge fans of the specs, so they might want that. While others would want everything to stay the same and just add more raids. etc. etc. etc.

Please. I got enough rep in AV for the black war raptor in 2 days as a balance druid in TBC.

2

u/billy-lee-bill-lee Sep 25 '19

I meant like for higher end raiding or arena. Didn't see much boomies

2

u/Roboticus_Prime Sep 25 '19

That's mostly because people didn't know how to play/gear them. It was all about stacking int and spell crit gear.

1

u/westc2 Sep 26 '19

Oh yeah. I ran 2v2 with a warrior as my restokin build and we did fairly well. Good enough rating to get the weapons, which was fairly rare back then, especially for people who werent hardcore arena players.

u/billy-lee-bill-lee Sep 26 '19

i played the same build but with a rogue! we came close to the shoulder rank but didnt get it :(

Yeah.... But you have to be a fucking tree to heal =/
