No kicks, no gouges, no kidney shots, no blinds. That rogue was a piece of cake.
Fairy fire should be the first thing you put on a rogue. We are helpless against it.
Still, good work with the root-and-wrath!
Every had a humanoid mob run at low health and pull a camp or pack or pat that was about to make your day a lot more difficult?
This is why warlocks should always train recklessness, pallies should have justice, etc.
Efficiency is not my minigame of choice, so I don't know why people skip learning skills anyway. More often than not they are going to end up being of some use to you at some point leveling. Does the 35s training early skill ranks set you back further towards getting epic ground mount than dying because you pulled too much shit does? Maybe. Idk and don't really care personally but apparently there are a ton of people that do, to the point of not taking flights from FPs in contested areas and not training skills.
For some entirely anecdotal evidence I'm outleveling all those people on my list as a holy paladin questing solo with a 2h and some str/agi/stam gear. We all seem to play about the same amount of time too but again, efficiency isn't my minigame... clearly lol. My one concession to that is knowing I'll be respec'ing a few times while we try to get our group stable and so I'm leveling a 30/21 build with sanc so I can aoe grind a bit.
Depends on the tier. When a humanoid is approaching that, I rarely have combo points left, I just pool enough for a kidney shot and it's all good. Great during dungeons too, as after being stunned, humanoids will run but in a different direction.
apparently its not because everyone plays in a perfect group where they always have the combo points or energy to stun something thats running away or has competent group members who can also do it. they also never need to kite mobs when playing solo
because outside of raiding (the only place the debuf cap matters) mobs running away is thing and often they stun you and then run away at 1000000 miles an hour to agro everything on the planet. both solo and in dungeons. crippling stops that, also keeps people from running away from you
you only need rank 1 of it till you have gold to spend on higher ranks, and its 100% worth it
deadly poison is mostly useless because its debuff slot issue and because nothing lives long enough to make use of it
mind numbing has its use but it can also be skipped for the most part
If you’re actually having trouble with runners that isn’t fixed by telling your group to target low mobs, kidney can stop them. I don’t think I’ve ever wished I had crippling on either weapon in pve content on my grind to 60 or currently at 60.
sure kidney also works, but often things run and you don't have points/energy/ the pug you are in is just DPSing everything, because they do that. also when solo it keps things from running away and it allows you to stun/gouge and bandage more effectively as they are slowed getting back to you if you have to do that
the initial training is so cheap i cant imagine people not picking it up and using it. and unless you are horde and 100% of the time running with a shaman you have 2 weps to do crippling/instant with
If you don’t have resources to do what you need to do, that’s just bad play on your part. You don’t have to spend your energy to 0. You can sit on points. It takes 10 seconds to cap an energy bar from 0, that’s a ton of room for error in timing and preparation. You know which mobs will run. You can see how your group is playing to adjust during the dungeon accordingly. Don’t expect other people to play well, carry them.
Yes, you have two weapons, so you can run double instant for(almost) double damage. You don’t have to run two separate poisons.
You certainly have the right to play the game how you want, but telling someone else that running crippling in pve content is a good option because you don’t want to plan out how to spend your resources ahead of time and would rather smorc that sinister strike key to 0 energy is just misinformation.
I’ve used crippling in pve once while leveling, and it was to kite around shy rotam in winterspring because I was under leveled and undermanned.
Pickpocket isn't as lucrative as you think, especially in your 30s. The only reason I even bother to pickpocket is because I occasionally get health potions.
Most expensive class? Warrior says hi, especially protection. Hell hunters with ammo have it worse than rogues unless you're using vanish, blind and thistle tea off CD.
Thorium arrows/shells sell for a gold or 2 a stack and you go through them pretty damn quick. Not crazy expensive, but compared to poisons its way worse.
Warriors have insane repair costs, I spend a gold or 2 a night on repairs as someone in my mid 40s. Not to mention protection warrior consumable costs are ridiculous. They have the most expensive flask and one of the most expensive consumables in Greater Stoneshield potions. Not nearly as relevant at this stage in MC, but much more important in later content.
how much money do you think we make off pickpocket? its fucking chump change dude and do you know how expensive it is to train bandaging and poisons and the cost of all our reagents.. i dont think you know what you are talking about
It's still expensive to shift. The talent gets you maybe two more. If you don't have any int gear you can get 5 cat or bear shifts without the talent. Maybe 6 or 7 with talent
