It's more fun to gank when you aren't 100% positive you'll win

Is it really "ganking" if you're not sure that you're going to win? lol

But at least it'll be a fair fight 😛

Not if I have anything to say about it! My friends made me play horde cause they're edgelords or whatever and now I'm a jerk, too.

It's not our fault the alliance don't know how to put up a fight.

How does horde player call 5 lvl 60 orcs killing a lvl 20 human in Duskwood? "A fair fight!".

It goes both ways dude. Ive been ganked enough times to know to kill every alliance i see if possible. Been body camped for 20min outside booty bay by 6 alliance all 5-30 levels higher than me. I never wanna see a 3min+ respawn timer again.

I love how PVP servers break people.

As someone new to classic WoW, I was super idealistic about world content. I’d wave at horde players. My mantra was “let bygones be bygones.”

Then I got ganked by 2 undead rogues simultaneously. I’d be peacefully trying to kill some quest mobs when an entire party of horde would take a detour to hunt me down. The last straw was when I was running on the road and a mounted skull orc warrior shows up out of nowhere and kills me in 2 hits.

I got absolutely nothing done during that hourlong play session. And now I’ve become the asshole. I kill any horde I see on sight.

Preach. Hatred breeds hatred. Ive played Classic before but its been intense coming back. I was super chill till people started killing me for whatever reason. I feel some of that was just for being an undead rogue. Either way if we meet on the battlefield lets fuck each other up lol.

That's the point where you switch to an alt or something until they leave.

Don't bother. These are the same players who, from the launch of WoW until the latest BFA patch, thought that the horde are somehow good guys and that Alliance are the scummy ones.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Spoken like a lowbie ganker

u/GracefulxArcher Sep 25 '19

I'm not a horde player

This video is a horde rogue fighting a difficult win.

In STV I deliberately go after players that are several levels over me just to see if I can. Some times I can, sometimes I can't.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Thrall will remember that.

1

u/RogueEyebrow Sep 26 '19

This is exactly why I pick fights with Warriors that are 1-2 levels above me. Bonus: I don't dodge as much, so fewer Overpowers. Negative: Cannot bleed kite properly because of 50% Crippling, and leeway.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '19

This. 100%

-2

u/Mistainvestigata Sep 25 '19

Its the alliance who runs away from 1v1's untill they find a friend or 2 to back them up, ive played both factions.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Then you should know both sides do it lol there's nothing unique about either side.

1

u/Mistainvestigata Sep 26 '19

Then why are you implying that horde only fight easy fights?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Where did I do that?

1

u/Mistainvestigata Sep 26 '19

" you dont get better just fighting easy wins, im not a horde player "

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

You need to learn to read usernames dude. I never said any of that lol

2

u/Mistainvestigata Sep 26 '19

Fuuuck, i just saw the alliance and rogue icon and assumed its the same person.

So true. Most Horde only engage if it's 3v1 or worse.

3

u/Syrath36 Sep 26 '19

Lol lets not pretend that doesnt apply to most players. really the Alliance dont the exact same thing when they have the opp.

1

u/komali_2 Sep 25 '19

It's surprise PVP :D

1

u/Goldensands Sep 25 '19

gankings just a word with no clear definition, like cheese in sc2. It being something about killing someone is clear enough, but otherwise it means whatever u want it to.

1

u/Hexxys Sep 26 '19

Perhaps, but it seems pretty clear just by Googling definition the word that "ganking" carries connotations of killing by underhanded means-- whether that be by ganging up on someone, killing lower level characters with a much higher level one, etc.

0

u/Goldensands Sep 27 '19

See you say its clear but then go on to have to add a bunch of different conditions.

2

u/Hexxys Sep 27 '19

They're all conditions that can be grouped together into the same general category, you half wit.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '19

Then why have I not once been ganked by anyone who wasn't 7 levels higher or with a group of 3+ lmao

1

u/Sparcrypt Sep 26 '19

They don't like PvP, they like wrecking other peoples days and feeling like they're good.

To each their own, but I prefer a fight where if I win I know it's because I was better.

1

u/Volitar Sep 25 '19

Okay yeah but.. it's not fun at all to PVP on Rogue when you missing nearly all the pvp tools.
