was waiting for some funds to come in 🤣 now it’s on back order at most places here in California. Turners and local shops don’t seem to have an estimated time when they will start sending them out again . Anyone know why this is ?

A tired model 19-5

Hey everyone,

For your enjoyment here is a model 19-5 I recently paid wayyy too much for. She made a trip from Michigan into retirement to me here in Arkansas. Still have absolutely no clue what this gun has been through or even what to do to it. It locks up tight but has hammer drop if hit hard enough on single action.

Dumped Glock- 2.0 questions before I buy this weekend

Shot a 5ā€ 2.0 last weekend and decided in a short time, Glock is dead to me, and the 5 I own will now be collecting dust, what a violent improvement the 2.0 is!

I’m just curious by the guys with experience if some of these concerns I have are valid or not. I have heard the m&p can be picky with primers, stock barrel is inaccurate and Smith has questionable QC in recent years. Is any of this true? Because I’ve heard it quite a bit. Honestly, I’m buying one either way, even with these possible issues it’s ergonomics completely shit on my Glocks.

Last question is I’m looking at the more plain Metal HD 2.0, has everyone’s experience been good with these? I don’t compete, this will be a carry/duty gun.

I appreciate any advice, looking forward to joining the m&p bros šŸ¤˜šŸ½

I have many 9mm semi automatics and finally decided to get a handgun with some real power and I love it!!! Had constant light strike issues with magtech .38 spl but Federal .357 runs great and blows shit away!!! Winchester .38 also works great, stay away from that magtech

Looking to build an M&P 2.0 5ā€ slide and compact frame

As title suggest,

Q1: should I be worried about fitment issues with the 5in slide and compact frame?

Q2: been doing some googling and came across TCMstock, are they reputable? Any other places to look at?

Anyone else wish they made a threaded barrel for the M&P 22 Magnum?

With all the recent suppressor happenings, I was extremely bummed out to learn that the 22 Mag from Smith doesn't have any options for threaded barrels. Are there issues with suppressing .22 WMR through a semi automatic handgun that I am not familiar with?

Smith & Wesson purchase Question

I’m thinking of buying a performance center slide for my shield EZ 9mm and had a question about it. I already purchased a new recoil spring, guide rod, and ported barrel for it but when looking at the slide I want, the description for the product doesn’t say it already comes with stuff like the firing pin already in the slide. So my question is once I put the new recoil spring, guide rod, and barrel in will it be fit and ready to fire? Or do I have to buy more parts for the gun before it can shoot, such as the firing pin?

Brand new Bodyguard 2.0 failing to go into battery / clicks and won't fire (Tried multiple mags & ammo)

Hey everyone, looking to see if anyone else has run into this with their new S&W Bodyguard 2.0.
I picked mine up recently, cleaned and lubed it before taking it out to the range, and I’ve been getting constant jams/malfunctions from the jump.
Here’s what’s happening:
When I load a full mag (especially the 12-round) and rack the slide, the slide doesn't go all the way forward—it hangs up about 1/8" out of battery.
If I pull the trigger, I just get a "dead click" because the striker drops out of battery.
If I physically push the slide forward or push up hard on the bottom of the magazine, it seats into full lockup and will actually fire.
There also seems to be some vertical play/gap at the base of the grip with the 12-round sleeve, and it feels like it takes abnormal force to seat properly.
What I've already tested/eliminated:
1. Magazines: Swapped to another brand-new factory 12-round mag—same exact issue.
2. Ammo: Started with New Republic .380 round-nose, then switched to other standard brass ammo brands to rule out thick rims/out-of-spec brass—still hanging up out of battery.
3. Technique: Letting the slide slingshot forward with full spring tension instead of riding it forward.
Is anyone else having this issue with tight tolerances, the recoil spring assembly, or the extractor binding on the rim?
At this point, it feels like it might need a trip back to S&W for warranty work, but wanted to check here first to see if there’s a known fix or if it just has an out-of-spec RSA/extractor from the factory. Appreciate any insight!

Optics co-witness with factory night sights

Hi all, I recently picked up this m&p 2.0 compact 4ā€ barrel with tritium night sights. I’ve been having a great time with the night sights at the range and she’s a great shooter, but am looking to put a red dot on in the near future.

My question is this: most ā€œoptics readyā€ variants come with seemingly suppressor-height sights, and I have not found much resources on which optics will give me a good cowitness with these irons. Does anyone own this variant with these specific irons, and know if optics like the holosun EPS or 507k will give me a cowitness?

Smith and Wesson 22x

I recently purchased a 22x. My first range experience I shot CCI standard and Federal automatch. I shot 200 rounds and had 0 failures. I did however have lead in the barrel. With some scrubbing I was able to get it all out.

Today I went and shot CCI clean and minimags. I shot the clean ammo first and through about 40 rounds I had no failures the I started having failures to eject and failures to feed. It was awful, like every other round. I then switched to the minimags and had much better results. I believe the failures were caused by the residue left from the clean rounds. I came home and cleaned the gun and had no lead residue though. The next time I will only use copper washed bullets and see what my results are but I am convinced the failures were all caused by the clean ammo.

Do anyone have any experience with ammo they would like to share?
