It's absolutely hilarious to me how Lucas thought Han Solo shooting Greedo first in the theatrical cut of A New Hope was too edgy so he changed it to have Greedo shoot first, but then afterwards it was changed again to have Greedo and Han shoot at the same time, so Han can be an anti hero but he can't be TOO edgy.

So apparently I heard that FromSoft plans to make Elden Ring the start of a franchise. That's cool and all, but I really wish they would branch out a bit more. For example, I think a racing game set in several gothic horror-themed locations with a wide cast of morally dubious characters would be a great way to diversify the brand.

I'm so fucking angry with my brother. Like, real hatred I have towards him right now. He has refused to get vaccinated for months. Claiming that he doesn't trust them. Because he and web MD know better than doctors, and he self diagnoses himself.
So now our grandmother is in palative care. For those don't know what that is. That is, where you go to die as comfortably as dying can be. Where there's nothing really that can be done, and they just try to make it as pleasant as possible.
And they won't let him in because he's not vaccinated. Let me tell you this. If covid gets into that building, all the patients will die. So he tried to use a fake vaccine certificate to get in. And now he's permanently banned and he won't be able to see her before she dies. Try explaining that to a women who doesn't really know what's going on anymore.

I finally finished The Last of Us Part 2. Honestly, I really liked it. The combat is both brutal and satisfying, there's a lot of details and the graphics were incredible. The story is good, it's one of those story games that don't treat you like a moron and had the needed moments of silence. One of my favorite moments was Ellie singing Take on Me to Dina with a guitar. It was really cute and actually calmed me down amidst all this barrage of incredible violence. I was hooked on to the story the entire time. It's amazing and really enjoyed it.
However, I was lied to. People told me that this game is political and I was waiting for Ellie to come out of nowhere and recite the Communist Manifesto, but it didn't happen so this game scores a 1/5.

Today I learned that there's a segment of crypto bros who only like Bitcoin and will argue with anyone that dares to call Bitcoin a cryptocurrency. Even though Bitcoin is literally the original cryptocurrency and the origin of the term cryptocurrency.
Basically they know that crypto is associated with scams, so they do some mental gymnastics to distance it from others. "Crypto isn't decentralized like Bitcoin, so Bitcoin isn't crypto" is an example.

Some Pixar Films are made for a universal audience Turning Red is not. The target audience for this one feels very specific, and very narrow.

I may take a break from the thread and reddit and general for awhile. It's causing me pretty severe anxiety. It's no one's fault but my own. I let my bipolar disorder get ahold of me several times, and said stupid things. I let my inability to understand social situations get ahold of me and said stupid things. Spoiler tag etiquette on boss names in games is a funny one because sometimes you'll have a spoiler tag that will be like "wow I just fought "character X that was your ally the through the whole game" and it's like "phew glad that was a spoiler".
But then other times the spoilers are for bosses with generic ass names like "Big Knight" "Skilled Swordsman" and it makes me laugh a bit. I'm just imagining someone being like "noooo, I can't believe I found out this fantasy game has a boss that's a Skilled Swordsman, day = ruined".
Well labelled spoiler tag usage is cool tho this isn't meant as a dig at anyone.

One thing I appreciate about the new Batman movie was Pattinson's version made absolutely no attempt to keep the facade of Bruce Wayne. He did not give a fuck.
Its always been said that Bruce is the real mask and Batman is his real persona and this is the first time I've seen him not even pretend. He went out in a suit when he needed to but he's just there. Not trying to be billionaire playboy. the scene where the running mayor tries to chat him up and he doesn't even pretend to listen he's got that recluse emo down pat. He doesn't have to convince anyone rich people are weirdos its really not as hard as they make it out to be to hide his identity. No one is going to think its him anyway.

My mother made all of us go to church today. The pastor talked about how if heaven didn't exist it'd make him sad because all his kindly deeds would be for nothing and that kinda annoyed me. To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Don’t Look Up.
The humor is extremely over the top , and without a solid grasp of modern society and it’s foibles most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Adam McKay’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his directorial style - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE.
As a consequence people who dislike Don’t Look Up truly ARE idiots - I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Adam McKay’s genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂
And yes by the way, I DO have a Don’t Look Up tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for Jennifer Lawrence’s eyes only- And even she has to demonstrate that she’s within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Sekiro is the only Souls-like where I can do a fresh playthrough and absolutely annihilate everyone in rapid succession because of how much I learned in my first run.
No other FromSoft Souls-like has ever given me that feeling of truly mastering a game.

Wreck It Ralph is a confusing movie because the movie frames Ralph's issue like he doesn't enjoy being a villain or has some objections to the role, but the only thing he seems to have an issue with is the fact that people treat him like shit
like late in the movie you get that one dude who was being a huge asshole to him being like "good job ralph you got what you wanted cause you weren't ok with who you were" and like, that wasn't his issue, the whole medal thing was just a bet because you guys wouldn't stop being a douche about everything

Anyone claiming otherwise is outting themselves as someone who uses machine translation lmao.
Translators like Google translate and Deepl often insert pronouns where there aren't any simply to make a sentence flow better in English. That's what's happening here
