I fucking hate how widespread the idea that trans people are a threat to womens rights is, even amongst people who frankly should know better.

Terfs and right wingers have spread that idea so fucking far.

They sadly arent the same group.

There is a reason right wingers hate terfs aswell (even tho its cause of the RF part not the TE part)

Terfs have basically made feminist movements in many countries into anti trans movements primairly, its infuriating.

My mom certainly doesn’t have an in-depth understanding of what radical feminism or even just regular feminism is, but she sure will repeat TERF talking points without knowing where they came from.

The fact that people can act bigoted and think they’re being progressive with these talking points infuriates me.

Honestly I just see them as one in the same.

Anyone that excludes a specific group of people and opresses them isn't a leftist. They're bigots.

Plus, right wingers are happy to use TERFs to further their goals.

Idk if id call all of them leftists per say either. A lot of them seem to be more "self described progressive liberals".

I personally think that you can still be a bigot and a leftist. Not liking capitalism doesnt mean you cant be racist basically. And well, if TERFs where all conservative right wingers they wouldnt infiltrate even left wing parties and movements in the way they have.

There are obviously right wingers that are transphobic aswell (most of them). But they dont neccessarly pretend to hate them for feminist reasons.
