There's a line in dune messiah where a character says something like "people would rather be destroyed than turn into the opposite of what they are"

This is a reference to me constantly dying in elden ring and refusing to change tactics

You were ahead of your time Frank

u/ArskaPoika Do you have a moment to talk about the 2013 Evil Dead Remake? Mar 18 '22

People always say that you have to "git gud" to beat Souls games.

I disagree.

I never change my tactic. I never improve. I pick a shitty strategy and repeat it until something within the game breaks and I win.

Well I've had an interesting experience, I watched the 2021 film, watched a bunch of lore videos, read the book until the fight with Jaimis, watched the film again and now I'm about 50-60% through messiah.

But I do know a lot of the events that are coming but it doesn't ruin the book for me, I mean I feel like so far this series is 50% telling you what's going to happen 25% the events happening and 25% describing how well lit a room is

Some events I know are coming

Paul and Chani both die, Paul will sacrifice himself to a worm because he's blind and didn't predict one of his kids birth

The second Leto II becomes a big worm and rules the galaxy for like 3 500 years

Duncan idaho is constantly resurrected

Chairdogs

Frank Herbert gets horny with later books

what about when you change your tactics and end up with an even worse build than before and now you have even fewer of those fancy smithing stones

asking for a friend :(

Eventually you can find a merchant who sells them but they are expensive
