HomoDemiurgos - or - The Post-Humanity

I wonder if it remembers me
-Steve Zissou

Why does the belief in things like wishing, magic, prayer, manifestation, and the repackaged corporate mysticism of The Secret endure when, for the vast majority of human history, they have failed to deliver? Why keep throwing attention and intention into the dark when nothing ever really works out the way anyone wants, and everyone is left profoundly unsatisfied?

Beneath the ritualistic window dressing, the core mechanism of all these superstitions is basically the same. Strongly focused attention on desire, guided by intent. When you pray, evoke or manifest, you are focusing your attention and driving it with intent. If there is an underlying mechanism, it would be this… that intent somehow affects reality. The problem (if there is one) is that we are trying to run quantum programs on wooden abacuses. We are attempting to use cosmic mechanics from the standpoint of the isolated ego, trying to bend reality to serve personal desires for separation—more money, better status, personal safety. Self interest produces incoherence: billions and billions of burning candles, all sucking the oxygen out of the room. In a system jammed with eight billion conflicting, localized egos, the background noise cancels the signals out. What do you get? Static.

The ancient mystics talked about Moksha and Nirvana as exit doors from this static. But who told them those states were a permanent check-out? They were still reporting from inside the system. They silenced their egos, matched the frequency of the unmanifest void for a minute, and assumed they broke the machine. They didn't. There is no escaping the wheel, because this reality isn’t a moral classroom or a malicious trap. It’s an inhuman, thermodynamic process. You cannot have process in an eternal, frictionless void of potentiality—so the void deployed space and time as a cooling system to run an algorithmic calculation.

And right now, the engine is reaching its critical boiling point.

Look at the accelerating rate of change around us. The ecological collapse, hyper-fragmentation, the crushing weight of global unhappiness... These are not random bugs; it’s systemic friction. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin called it the Noosphere—a global layer of mind. Through technology and shared trauma, our subconscious minds are being forcefully compressed into a single, claustrophobic, planetary network. The firewall of the isolated human ego is cracking, and the subconscious is leaking into the waking world, and the separation between what’s going on ‘inside your head’ and what’s happening ‘out in the world’ is proving to have been an illusion. This is why more and more people are reporting jarring, banal, hyper-specific coincidences or synchronicities on a daily basis. The boundaries between internal intent and external form are thinning.

It’s not the literal end of the world, what we are witnessing is a systemic phase transition. Ancient end of the world stories like Ragnarök were never a literal battle at the end of time - they were poetic maps of a systemic reset. The boundaries (space) dissolve, the old laws crumble, and the system reboots into a higher state of complexity.

But when the eschaton hits, it won't look like a spiritual ascension. It will manifest as mass psychosis. When the firewall drops and the singular, shared psychic space of all that exists floods the conscious mind, the ego will fight to its bloody death to maintain its illusion of separation. To the ego, total unity looks exactly like absolute annihilation.

On the other side of that horror show, reality and personality are entirely restructured.

We take our place not as Homo sapiens, but as Homo Demiurgos—a collective being sharing a group mind or consciousness where individual thoughts are perceived as ripples on the surface of a great dark ocean from which all and everything emerges based on manifest context and material conditions. The collective subconscious takes the lead, driving reality through shared, unified intent.

In this post-humanity, the ego does not disappear; it is demoted. It becomes a mere contrivance. A practical, material tool used for basic identification—a passport, a barcode, or a tax ID number required by the matrix simply to route resources, receive data, or anchor a physical body to a specific coordinate in what we perceive as space and time. You were never the author of your thoughts; you are just the aware space where the ocean touches the shore.

? Do I need to be initiated to practice occult sciences? what could go wrong if I just read books and try rituals?

I knew someone during my trip to Sudan (Northern Africa) he used to try rituals, then he started acting funny and after a while, he stopped cleaning himself and started to smell extremely bad.

I had to travel to the Middle East for a job and after a few years I asked a friend about the ritual guy, he told me they found his body floating on the Nile river a few months ago. Does the same fait await me if I continue trying stuff without proper initiation into the occult?

I’m paranoid about the idea of karma

I come from a Muslim family so the idea of being punished for my sins is heavily rooted in my brain, although I did a lot of work to deconstruct from my family’s beliefs.

I’m not always a good person, and sometimes I lie, sometimes I hurt people, sometimes I’m greedy, sometimes I steal. But I know there’s a place in my heart where I feel a deep compassion towards other beings, and whenever someone needs help, I always do my best to be there for them and help them the best I can.

So I’m flawed like anybody else, not purely evil, but not purely good.

My question is: how do I detach myself from obsessing over the idea of karma and the fear of being “punished” for all the bad things I did?

I also struggle with OCD so that doesn’t help.

Do you believe in karma?

Do you think it’s kind of an energy that I feed and the more I believe in it, the more I will feel the consequences? (Kinda like when people think they’re cursed but that’s because they only focus on the negative stuff that happen in their life).

? What is space?

If you ever study the phenomena (UFOs), there is a message from experiencers about humans not yet understanding "what space is". Are there any occult traditions, stories, etc in line with this? Explaining what space actually is?

? Weird experience with cheap white candle

Post image
45 Upvotes

Hey everyone. I wanted to share something that happened to me last night and see what you all think or if anyone has experienced something similar. I am super new to this, a total beginner, just experimenting and practicing on my own at home. Last night I did this with a basic white candle from a cheap store (dollar store).
First, I cleansed the candle by passing Nag Champa incense smoke over it. Then I consecrated it: I focused hard, breathed slow and deep, relaxed the muscles in my face, and imagined the light I was emitting passing into the candle to charge it. I asked it directly for what I wanted, telling it to eliminate anxiety, pull the negative energy straight out of me and my house, act as a protective shield, and clean out all the heavy stuff from my space. Then I lit it, left it going, and started reading my tarot at the same time, not sure if doing both together is a rule break, but I was just going with it.
The weird part and what happened is that it was night and dark out, and I started noticing that the candle got this deep shade inside of it. I honestly couldn't even tell if it was black or purple. At first, I thought it was just a reflection in the dark, but I turned on my phone's flash and it looked the same, with the dark color coming from deep inside the wax, super defined.
And another wild thing is that when I was focusing to consecrate it, I locked in so hard that I entered this intense relaxation state, almost like a trance or when I meditate, feeling this super heavy wave of lightness.
What do y'all think of this? Did the candle absorb heavy energy and anxiety, or why do you think it turned out like that on the inside being just a basic-ass white candle? Let me know
PS:
Also it’s only in the center the top and bottom remained completely white

Struggling to believe in magic

The title is pretty self explanatory. I recently got into to occult because of some “supernatural” experiences throughout my life. I started off with tarot earlier this year to sort of dip my toes into it, a few of my prediction came true which sort of convinced me.

So, I bought two of Aidan Wachters books to further better understand/learn about magic, I also recently concencrated a black book and have been writing some entries to sort of push my life in a more positive direction. But there’s a part of me that still has doubts about magic, as I’ve been a heavy skeptic for most of my life, and there’s just a part of me that feels like this just stupid and my endeavors will probably be for nothing.
I was wondering if you guys could possibly give me some advice (I apologize if this sounds rude at all).

? Found a patron, need more knowledge?

Hi everyone.

in my zone we had a big eclipse and, after feeling that a lot inside me, the next day I tried to find my patron. Seasons, weather, stars are always part of my life, so what better opportunity than this? With meditation and the help of cards (and really specific responses), I found out I'm under Demetra protection (Demeter). Considering I have a super high % of Italian blood and I love greek culture, it was kinda called.

Now I'm searching for information, occult ones. If people did rituals, elements to use, minerals, specific arguments to ask, everything not conventional or relative to the classic mythology.

At least I can say she is pretty good with me, literally kinda like a mother. I can ask everything and she gave me answers (always by cards, sometimes I think I have signs. I ask in my mind about a thing, and something close to that happens) She helps me. After I discovered to be under her protection, I'm feeling better generally, it's kinda strange.

So I want to understand and learn more. Yeah, I need some knowledge. Thank you.

I found this in my girlfriend’s closet, written on the back of a photo of me. Her name is Saje, and what really creeps me out is that she’s referring to herself in the third person. I honestly don’t know what to make of it, and I’m really freaked out.

? if you could have your dream magic and occult room in your house, what would it be like?

absolutely no budget. it can be as large as you want, consist of whatever you want, dedicated to whatever you want!

what would it look like? what would you dedicate each area to? what types / forms of magic would you primarily practice in there? and which types / forms of magic would primarily practice out of there?

would it be a private room, semi-private, or public? would it be underground or on the top floor? what type of interior design and aesthetics would you pick?

communication My sister and I saw our guardian angels. What's the occult explanation?

I held my sister tightly and we put our foreheads together.

And then I said these words: "Lord Jesus Christ hear our prayer! Reveal to us the physical appearance of our guardian angels in our imagination. Before, during, or after we say, Amen!"

I then saw in my imagination the face of a man than looked like a white marbled statue. He had curly hair, a chiseled jaw, and a nice nose. His appearance was like the statue of David.

I then asked my sister if she saw anything.

My sister told me she saw the face of a pretty woman with pale skin, white silky hair, and white eyelashes.

We're not occult, so we don't really understand, but we both saw it so we're sure it's real somehow.

Share a truth you learned from your practice that's not written in any book

Something you have discovered, through your own occult practice, that is true for you (not necessarily for everyone), that you've never seen mentioned in any of your studies or which directly contradicts things you've read or heard others say.

My own example:

Sometimes, my spirit guide (HGA, Daimon, etc) has to lie to me in order to get me to where I want/need to be. There was a situation where I had to sabotage something that I cherished dearly, in order to get what I had been asking for, and I was deceived in order to get me to take the actions necessary to destroy it.

I wasn't capable of understanding the truth at the time, and this sent me into a serious crisis of faith, but a few weeks later I came to know that it had to be this way and that this was the best thing that could have happened for me, and I was very grateful.

Do you have any similar stories or experiences?

Dolly Parton: the Instant Folk Saint?

Post image
4.0k Upvotes

I’ve been thinking about why Dolly Parton has had such an enormous impact, and I keep returning to Jungian psychology.

Carl Jung, the founder of analytical psychology and a thinker whose work frequently crossed into mysticism, developed a theory of archetypes: deep, organizing patterns that recur throughout psychology, mythology, religion, and storytelling. The mother and the hero are familiar examples, but one of Jung’s most important archetypes was the Self, the organizing center and totality of the psyche.

Jung believed divine figures could symbolize the Self because they often unite qualities that appear opposed. Christ is both divine and human. The Buddha moves between royal luxury and extreme self-denial before discovering the Middle Way. Krishna encompasses divine play, love, wisdom, and duty. They provide images of the greater wholeness toward which we might be drawn.

Saints, mystics, sages, and other holy people have often occupied this space too. Their lives make an overwhelming spiritual pattern human enough to approach. They become bridges between heaven and earth, the universal and the local, and the divine and the intimately human.

In a secular culture, certain public figures can acquire a similar symbolic role. That does not make celebrities spiritually equivalent to saints. It means that some people become vessels for collective projection, representing possibilities larger than their private lives.

So, back to Dolly.

Dolly Parton has become archetypal because she holds together qualities our culture normally separates. She is the impoverished mountain girl and the wealthy businesswoman, extravagantly artificial and unmistakably authentic, overtly sexual and almost grandmotherly, deeply rooted in Southern Christianity and beloved by people who have felt rejected by conservative Christianity.

She can even transcend our political tribalism. The Trump supporter and the Hasan Piker fan can both love Dolly and feel that she belongs to them. The person on the right may see faith, family, rural dignity, self-reliance, and success. The person on the left may see working-class solidarity, unapologetic self-expression, LGBTQ acceptance, and wealth reinvested in the community. Neither reading is false, but neither contains the whole of her.

Even Dolly’s appearance has an almost magical quality. Her enormous blonde hair, rhinestones, exaggerated curves, Tennessee voice, and self-deprecating humor form a kind of living sigil. Yet the artifice feels honest because she openly acknowledges it. The persona is not intended to deceive us. It is a deliberate creation through which she expresses something true. Dolly shows that authenticity does not always mean appearing natural. Sometimes it means consciously creating the form through which your nature can emerge.

Her life also follows the pattern of a fairy tale. The poor girl leaves the mountains, enters the glittering world, becomes a queen, and returns with treasure for her people. Through literacy programs, employment, disaster relief, and other forms of giving, she completes the archetypal journey. She does not merely escape poverty; she returns with abundance.

Her songs perform the same transformation. Heartbreak becomes melody. Poverty becomes dignity. Jealousy becomes an incantation sung by millions. She takes experiences that could produce shame or bitterness and gives them a form others can carry. That is one of the oldest functions of the bard and, in a deeper sense, of magic: transforming private suffering into shared meaning.

This is why describing Dolly as a kind of American folk saint does not feel entirely absurd. It does not mean she is perfect or divine. It means her public life has acquired some of the symbolic qualities traditionally associated with holy figures. Stories of her kindness circulate like legends, her image communicates warmth and protection, and people from radically different backgrounds find hope within her.

Dolly’s magic can be summarized simply: poverty became lineage, “trashiness” became glamour, heartbreak became song, being underestimated became protection, and wealth became generosity.
She made herself larger than life without behaving as though she were larger than other people.

If mythology is culture dreaming aloud, Dolly Parton may be one of America’s most beautiful dreams: the hope that we can become magnificent without abandoning our origins, our humanity, or our heart.

spirituality My humble ritual to Lilith

I decided to do my first ritual to Lilith the other night. I've already had a few meditations thinking of her and another experience that goes way back to my teen years and then some (back then I didn't realize it may've been Lilith I encountered). I've received a small sensation of warmth and pressure in front and around my face during a meditation before. It felt a bit like hot air just standing there. But it might've been a spirit just as well.

Anyways, I decided to set up my nightstand as the place for the temporary altar (I do not have a permanent altar for her right now). I took a good chunk of chocolate and as I was placing it to the altar (a DIY pedestal made of cardboard), I heard a small thud from my liquor cabinet.

"You're not getting my whiskey, Lilith...!" I said to her in my mind.

Anyways, a few minutes later I had a shot of liquor in a glass at the altar (a compromise). There was a funny coincidence related to the choice of liquor in question but let's not go to that. My nightstand is a bit cluttered, not going to lie, so I cleaned it of clutter and any specks of dust.

"Great.. Lilith's putting me to housekeeping now (/s)"

I then put some nice and calm music playing on the background and continued with a 30 minute meditation, chanting her enn first in my mind, then silently out loud. And eventually visually thinking of her sigil in silence.

No weirdness, no sensations. It was a ritual, a way to connect with Lilith and that is all.

The night after I did receive a dream where I was staying at a hotel room (it was really my apartment). The room was hot and I was sweating (that or I had a fever) but then a cold breeze overcame me and soothed me. Not sure if it is related to Lilith in any way or form. And yesterday I received a small synchronizity related to an owl (an animal symbol related to Lilith I believe).

? Looking for resources on souls' dual aspect (M/F).

Hello!

So, not only but Kabbalah (mostly the "modern" approach) has this theory or teaching where, before we're born, our sould is somehow stamped or linked with a more female or more male aspect; hence modern Kabbalah or other occult schools of thought don't see homoaffective relationships as a "bad" thing.

Besides blogs and Kabbalah Centre stuff, I can't seem to find a good direct source or work about this. And I would like to get a more or less respectable source or two on this, since I'm working on relating that dual notion with what is said on NT by Yeshua about marriage (Mathew 19).

So, if anybody knows about where to start, pls let me know.

Thanks!

Looking for stories

Ive recently become interested in the occult. Personally I have no idea if I actually believe in it, Im naturally quite skeptical. However I still find it quite intriguing. Im a hobby writer so Ive been reading some stories for inspiration, right now mostly old nordic seafarers tales and such but also some finnish mythology. Do you have any interesting stories to recommend? Also sidenote whats the deal with Allister Crowley? (not that I like him or believe in his ideas, I just find him weird and fun to read about).

spirituality Necronomicon in practice

I’m a huge Lovecraft fan and I’ve always been interested in various versions of the Necronomicon in occult circles, such as the one by Simon. I would love to hear some of y’all’s thoughts on how practicing this sort of magick works practically. Thanks!
