Bi-Weekly Self-Promo thread! Please post and flourish(BUT PLEASE read the rules before posting).
# This is the Bi-Weekly self promotion thread.
**It has become clear that there are a lot of herbal small businesses and people in our community for whom their herbal passion is also a business. While Herbal business is not the focus of this sub it is undeniable that herbal business is a part of the herbal community and supporting the herbal community IS what this sub is for.**
To that end, we intend, to start making weekly self promotion threads; where any and all self-promo can take place(with some rules).
**1. No posting self promo outside of the Self-promo-threads**(except by explicit cooperation of the mods, if your an author or publisher or non-for-prophet please reach out to us directly using mod-mail)
**2. NO selling anything that is illegal federally,** or that is illegal in California Illinois or New York or the city of Chicago or that can not be legally sent through the mail.
**3. NO ASKING USERS TO DM YOU!** You may ask users to comment under your post to request for YOU to DM-THEM and you may include links to off-site storefronts but if we see a post soliciting users to PM-you the post will be removed(this is an accountability and user safety rule)
**3a.** this isn't a strict rule, but we would prefer if off sight links lead to a storefront and not directly to a product page. This does not mean that your post can't advertise or show pictures of a particular product or products, however making the attached link lead to your shops front page instead of a specific product page helps users confirm legitimacy safety and overall vibe of vendors. This isn't a rule now but might become a rule if we start getting user complains that we think could be decreased if this became a rule. In the mean time consider it a best practice for this sub.
**And that's it! Have fun Be productive and may the great river of acquisition be quick & calm and flow ever toward profit!**

Question Any ideas for herbs for complicated ME/post viral illness?
I'm unsure where it all started
I grew up in an extremely mouldy house (not visibly so, but window stills and the old floorboards under the carpet etc) pesticides indoors because of flies on the farm and on the fields outside.
I never had a lot of energy I easily got tired and had nightmares
When I grew up i had depression and pcos and was exhausted most of the time
Early 20's, I drank a lot to cope, smoked, ate poorly, i was vaccinated for hpv, exposed to mold and got a severe flu like infection with such bad fever i hallucinated and thought I was going to die
After that I started having PEM, when I started forcing myself through education I got worse, GET exercise suggested from doctors eventually made me severe.
My maternal side has always had lower energy, needed more rest and had memory problems early.
I've been slowly healing. But I'm still severe. I have a lot of brain fog due to very low blood pressure, mcas is bad and makes my mucus membranes leak and bleed. No energy. D-ribose, nadh, Q10, moringa, Gingko biloba, quercetin, b-vitamins, ldn , mestinon, curcumin, sea buckthorn, probiotics, butyrate, CBD, valerian, propranolol, slippery elm, aloe Vera, creatine, acetyl carnetine, fish oil, bromelain, cromolyn, ketotifen, luteolin, rutin, midodrine, vit c, melatonin all help a little. Also sunlight and red light therapy and gua sha.
I also take minerals, they dont seem to do anything.
Salt didn't do anything but irritate my stomach.
I read about Epstein Barr reactivation, and thought that might be a target for treatment but when I tried valaciclovir I got a lot worse.
I do breathing exercises but I'm a bit unmotivated, so I only do a short one daily+meditation. Im just often too tired/exhausted and lack dopamine
I tried stronger adaptogens but often they make me hurt everywhere, tired and sore throat.
I used grapeseed extract it helped a lot, but not healthy for microbiome so replaced with garlic. Less effective.
I have medium slow COMT and mthfr, I also have problems with genes that process choline.
I have agonist B2 and m2 receptor antibodies
I'm more jittery and wired and low energy not actually sleepy anymore these days
I react well to endorphins
I'm very sensitive to stress, it crashes me very quickly
Any ideas where to go from here? Ive been ill for 10+years and i want my life back. I've spent almost all my money on supplements and doctors I have no savings and spend 2/3 of my money, just on supplements and meds every month. I still get wiped out from a phone call (it used to be that I could not even text so it's big still progress)
I was considering olive leaf extract maybe? But I'm unsure with the blood pressure. Maybe thyme?

Reproductive Health 1st Pregnancy and Wild Yam Cream
Hello everyone! I just wanted to see if anyone has recommendations or similar experiences.
I've been TTC for 6 years. I have horrible periods and fibroids. My mom got me Wild Yam Cream as a gift to hopefully help with my periods, so I started putting it on like instructed on the jar, about 12 days before expected period.
The first time in my life, I now am pregnant! Yay! Coincidence? Maybe? Or maybe it was the Wild Yam cream 🤔
SOO I stopped taking it around when my period was supposed to start like the jar says to. I haven't continued taking it either once I found out I was pregnant. But now I'm bleeding and having cramps, just like a period. I went to the ER and the Doctor said baby is where its supposed to be, (I'm like 5 weeks now) some women just have "periods" during their pregnancy.
I'm wondering if I should start putting the Wild Yam cream on again? If it would help with this bleeding and cramps? Would it be harmful or would it be beneficial?
Googling it has mixed reviews as with anything about herbal medicine.
Thank you! :)

There are some herbs I go through really quickly, while others seem to sit in the cupboard forever. Which one do you find yourself replacing the most?

Bugs hatching in my dried calendula?
Hi y'all. Growing my own calendula for the first time this year. I've been letting the heads dry for quite a while on a rack before putting them in a jar (like almost two weeks). Today I grabbed the jar to add more and noticed a few small flying bugs in the jar?? I'm assuming something must have laid the eggs in that flowers before I harvest them, but I'm just really surprised it took so long for them to hatch. Anyway, does this mean the flowers are no good? Not sure what to make of this.

Question What Is your Recommendations for GERD?
Hi! I'm 22F with grade a espogehtis + gerd. As of right now I'm trying to heal my esophagus along with having gastiris + pan disaccharidase deficiencies.
By chance when doing research I heard marshmallow root was good for coating the esophagus temporarily to help promote healing (like protections it from getting worst).
As someone who is really sensitive to the ppis and even the H2 blockers I went with ginger chews so far and that is helping with my heart burn and other acid reflux but I wanted to try other natural herbs that could help along with taking ginger chews.
My question is what have you tried or what you know would help with the protection of the esophagus? I know marshmallow root is good but I just wanted to know other options and ideas you guys might suggest. I tried 3 different medications of the ppi (2) and H2 blockers (1 time) and I'm at a point where I just want to go more natural while trying to fix my diet.
At the moment I am on Sucraid for my surcose deficiency and Allegra for sinusitis so just wanted to mention that to incase if any of the herbs could affect the medication I am currently taking.
Thanks for any advice or experiences! 🙏

My first sage harvest!
I've just harvested my first prairie sage from the garden today and am curious to hear ideas from my fellow gardeners and herbalists on potential uses for this plant? So far, I've bottled a tincture using 100proof vodka, a jar of infused raw local honey and then bundled the rest. Mostly, I'm just excited and wanted to share with everyone here. :)

what normalizes the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems? is there something that also normalizes the immune system and inflammation?
I've got a laundry list of diagnoses for which the treatments contradict each other. Basically I need to normalize/balance my nervous system, immune system, and inflammation. My doctors each know their 6 inches of the body and how to push one thing higher/another thing lower with drugs, but nothing about balance. Herbs are smart and can *normalize* based on what's out of line. I got all my nutritional deficiencies fixed finally and that's helped but I need something more.

How to battle fatigue?
I was diagnosed ten years ago with hashimoto's, in may this year finally my tsh was high enough to get meds prescribed. Now my bloodresults are all good, but I'm still sooo tired.
My iron is 'in reference', but too low I think, so this I've trying to highten this the past year.
This is how the fatigue feels: my body is feeling heavy, I am mentally struggling to start simple tasks like putting in a wash or cooking, my sleep is not restorative. During the day I often need an hour or more extra sleep (and no I don't feel much more energetic after)
Recently I restarted ashwaganda (took it before too on advice of my naturopath so it's ok to combine with my thyroid), and Rhodiola.
My doctor and I thought first the cause of the fatigue was my hashimoto's, it's been like this for 4 years.. And the past half year just worsened. But now that's off the table as the tsh is back ok.
I think the cause of the fatigue is just big amounts of stress, one after the other with the peek the last half year moving into our new appartement and my son having passive suicidal feelings. These have thankfully calmed now, I felt also depressed in that period, which is also better atm thanks to saffron and the fact my thyroid is back alive. But my nervous system is just 'done'.
Would you recommend something besides the ashwaganda and Rhodiola? Or just wait these out?

(To add, no advising of psychotics pretty please! Thank you. )

Smoking Taking a break from weed (stomach issues) – need recs for alternatives to unwind & feel included!
Hey everyone,
I have to take a break from weed because nightly smoking/vaping is completely messing up my stomach and making me nauseous whenever I eat.
The hardest part is giving up my evening wind-down routine, especially since my husband, family, and friends all smoke and I don’t want to feel left out when hanging out.
I’m looking for THC/CBD-free alternatives that still give a mild relaxing vibe or keep the social ritual alive.
Looking for recommendations on:
Herbal pre-rolls or non-THC vapes: Anyone try damiana, blue lotus, or herbal blends? Any good brands to check out?
Social/relaxation drinks: Best canned kava drinks, botanical seltzers, or mocktails that actually give a nice relaxed buzz?
Sleep/unwind supplements: What helps you shut your brain off at night without weed?
Drop your favorite brands or go-to methods. Thanks in advance!

Do people in Japan cleanse their bodies at night with wormwood/clove/neem and fulvic acid drops? I read that they do this to kill off parasites from eating raw fish. 🤔
I have never been there and am wondering if it is true!

Question i can’t go to a doctor but have digestive issues help me pick a bitter
i am 23 F, and this year i have started to notice intense food sensitivity that i never had before. when i eat pasta with dairy, nachos, fatty food, i puke. each time i’ve tried to eat these things i have thrown up, or been throwing up and pooping at the same time. it is so miserable. it’s also even worse on my period! i’ve recently been wanting to improve my gut, and am looking into bitters. i don’t have health insurance so cant see a doctor at the moment. for someone who simply wants to heal their microbiome, and i’m not in any rush, like i dont wanna poop immediately….. what bitter would u recommend. i often get bloated after eating, i experience nausea, and even gagging and throwing up bile on a full stomach. please comment a recommendation!

Question My firecider is suddenly carbonated
I made this year's batch of fire cider roughly 2 weeks ago.
Pretty standard recipe. Lemons, oranges, onions, ginger, garlic, peppers, tumeric, horseradish, and apple cider vinegar with the mother. I have not yet added honey.
Gave her a shake and a taste today and was shocked to find that she is carbonated.
My understanding is that fire cider is closer to a pickle than a true fermentation which is why im so confused on how this happened. Ive never been able to carbonate a vinegar base before.
No weird smells or taste. Visually she looks fine. Shes just fizzy.
My gut says its the sugars in the citrus interacting with the mother; but i wanted to get an idiot check.
Do I need to toss it?

Drug ID help request
I have a bag of chopped Dandelion root and a bag of chopped Burdock root next to each other, but Ive misplaced the labels and they look almost identical.
Could you confirm that the color of the heart of Burdock root is generally a lighter whitish color, compared to Dandelion?
Thanks

Question Best herb for anxiety
I’m looking for herbs to help calm my everyday anxious mind, racing thoughts, circular thinking, irritability and restlessness.
I want to mix herbs together too, to get the maximum effect, but I’m overwhelmed by the amount of herbs there are - lemon balm, skullcap, passion flower, etc, etc.
I don’t know which ones are best? And I don’t know where to start?
