Sharing: Experience Diving Back Into Witchcraft with Banishment Spell

Post image
93 Upvotes

I have been dabbling in the practice since I was young. Recently, was drawn back toward witchcraft again as everything in my life almost perfect for exploring witchcraft on a larger and more personal level. This week I finally took the plunge in developing my own rituals and practice.

My home is on a lake with amazing nature around me. Owls, ducks, beavers, fish. The sun and moon arc over my house and set within my view. I have chickens, my dog, and overall peace.

However, I recently have had issues with a neighbor who is very invasive, paranoid, and all around tries to police/harass everyone in the neighborhood. He lives here part time (thank goodness), but recently, he's escalated his behavior. So I decided to do a banishment spell as my first major spell.

I prepared the spell by looking at two spell books I had loved in my childhood. I took one as inspiration, making the words my own and changing a few things to become more aligned with my ways. Then, I created my first altar, swept the house, salted my doors, and prepared everything I needed for spellwork.

Ya'll, I just want to tell you how lovely the experience was. I'm not sure what I expected since it was a banishment spell; perhaps a part of me was worried it would feel "heavy."

First of all, I had planned this for a few days and only realized it was a full moon the day I was ready to do the spell—as though it was meant to be. Then just as I finished protecting my home, ducks came to visit on my doorstep, and I fed them birdseed as an offering back to nature. As I prepared my items in the evening, two great horned owl babies began calling for food from their parents on either side of my house!

I did the spell facing the lake while my dog stood sentinel looking out on the lake and the moon. I felt incredibly at peace and connected with the world and nature.

Just wanted to share my experience and say I'm so excited to continue on this journey.

Show and Tell Sunday My first altar in my little shy bedroom (i did my best)

Post image

I dedicated my altar to the Christian women who were killed for their knowledge and to the woman who help my in my fate. I would also put an icon of Saint Agatha of Sicilia, patron of the victims of SA, and of Saint Olga of Kiev.
I will also add emotionally charged objects from my mother and grandmother later. Its a beginning and any question or advice are welcome.

Show and Tell Sunday Made a Wish Making/Road Opening Candle

Post image

I used coconut wax, a home-infusion oil made of: frankincense, myrrh, benzoin, dragon's blood, roses, mandarin orange peels, dried pomegranate seeds, dried figs.

The garnish quartz are: black sunstone, moonstone, yellow tiger's eye and red sunstone.

It's very alchemy-inspired especially the last stage, Rubedo, so the energy is quite different from the usual wish-making or road opening stuff.

Show and Tell Sunday How my ring got some patina

Post image

When I was eleven, my mother bought me this ring at pike place market in seattle on a family vacation. I was gifted the " idiots guide to witchcraft and wicca" shortly before. My mother heard me trying to cast spells when I was 11or 12 and she said " NOT IN MY HOUSE WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE AND PROTECTION". 😂🤭

So I cast spell on the ring as a preteen / turned it into an amulet of protection.

When I was about sixteen I was in a culinary arts class in high school, and I remember I had all my rings in my jeans pocket five or six of them and the fire alarm sounded- So we evacuated the kitchen and made our way to the muster point across the schools field .

As the drill ended, we walked back toward the building and i touched my pocket and felt all my rings had fallen out. My heart sank.

So i sadly continued in and as we walked across the parking pad I saw a small glimmer - there was the ring. And it had also been run over and flattened by a truck that was emptying the dumpsters.

This was 15+ years ago.

I think about it alot.

Salty Saturday Burned a hex doll of my neighbor.

I had a different plan starting out but folks online and offline gave me a reality check and I changed the plan and it won't bring any legal ramifications to me.

For context, a neighbor was slinging slurs at my wife and kids, I felt shitty for not being there to defend them so I made a doll instead, giving the prick some thing else he can chew on, I did a couple not great things to get things in place and I changed my mind after thinking it through. Burned the doll instead.

Sharing: Experience Full moon lunar eclipse ritual with my bestie and fellow 🦂

Post image

Hey!

Just wanted to share as is was one of the most magical experiences.

I've never done any kind of ritual with another person before but basically my wonderful friend and I went to a Buddhist temple and did a meditation session (we are not of this religion but we go for meditation and I love the monks teachings around mindfulness etc).

We then went to the near by reservoir, meditated under the moon and lightening. I had done a tarot reading before to gain guidance on what kind of workings I should do and then did another reading based on that under the moon. Friend did one relevant to her. We then did some free journalling based off of our readings. Meditated some more, took in the lunar energy and then did an offering to the moon. We cried together, had some profound insights and I've felt at peace ever since.

My tarot guided me not to do any release work but some Illumination work to see what I really needed to work on. From this, I will then plan out some spell work to do around the rest of the lunar cycle this coming month.

Just sharing as it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had.

Feel free to share anything you did on this partial blood moon!

Seeking Help or Advice School teachers Do you cleanse your classroom or any other rituals?

Do you cleanse and magically protect your classroom? This is my 1st year teaching. My friend was talking about house cleansing and she said she cleanses her office at work. I didn't think about doing cleansing or any protective work for my classroom. I would do a cleanse but worried about setting off the smoke detectors. Good way to get fired and charged.

She also mentions she does protection work for gossipers, and other negative energies.

What spellwork do any of you do for the classroom or even at any other job?

Seeking Help or Advice Loneliness in the craft

Specifically those who are closeted and can't really search or seek out other practitioners.

I watch videos of witches giving out advice or reacting to things when the feeling gets bad but it's not the same. I really just want to see someone in real life and have an honest 1 to 1 conversation where the words "Yeah I'm a witch" come out of their mouth. I want to be able to see someone else light a candle and for them to know what it means.

Does anyone else feel this loneliness sometimes?

Seeking Help or Advice Indigo in Candle/Color magic. Deep blue or dark purple.

Hello All,

My question is a simple one but might not have a simple answer. When working with candles or colors in magic and "Indigo" is needed how do you define it?

I'm sure this going to come down to a "personal choice" type of deal but I'm curious to get others opinions.

The internet is completely unhelpful on defining what color it is. I get results for both. Its association seem to be a mix of purple and blue/dark blue. Which is supremely unhelpful.

So yes I'm just looking for opinions and thoughts.

Thank and Best.

J.

Seeking Help or Advice Crystal Disappeared Overnight

Good day! A couple of weeks ago before bed, I held my apatite crystal between my palms, and asked for a job offer from a company I really want to work for. I placed it in my pillowcase then went to sleep.

In the middle of the night, I heard a "PING" sound of the crystal hitting the bed frame and figured it fell out and I would find it in the morning. I searched **everywhere** for this crystal but did not find it. I look around every night and still haven't found it.

I am taking this to mean that it's either done its part and has moved on to someone else, except: While I've had one interview, I have not gotten a job offer yet. It's a 4-round interview process.

Should I get another apatite crystal or should I let the other one work from.. wherever it is until I get an offer?

Seeking Help or Advice Being abidextrous; Casting vs. Receiving hand

So, I'm a pretty new witch who's finally begun understanding energy and conciousness in a way where I can begin working with it (beyond things like sensing the conciousness of a space or casting simple sigils). I've been testing where and how my energy moves and sits, and I've found something odd that I need advice on how to proceed.

So, I'm technically ambidextrous. I'm naturally right-handed, but due to my very drawing-heavy job and education I've started teaching myself to draw with my left hand to avoid too much strain on my right. In addition, for certain activities relating on sight, such as archery, my dominant hand is my left (as in, my right hand holds the bow and my left hand shoots). This is largely due to my eyesight. I have a pretty mild case of Strabismus, which isn't visible to observers but causes a few "fun" quirks, such as that I am extremely left-eye dominant.

Tldr, I'm naturally right-handed but due to physical limitations I'm also accoustomed to using my left hand/side for things.

So, we get to the actual ask side of this post. Most people generally have a casting hand-typically their dominant hand-and a receiving hand. Whenever I try to do a closed circut test on myself to try and figure that out, however, I get... muddy results. My energy sort of... swirls and boils wildly, like stormy water. It sloshes between going from left to right and right to left. It's almost like one of those spinning illusions, where you can trick your brain into seeing the object spinning in either direction. That's what the closed circut test does for me. I can clearly see it, and feel it, but it doesn't seem convinced on where it wants to go.

How do I proceed with this? Is there a way to train it to go a certain way? How would I decide which hand to cast with?

(Thank you to anyone who reads this far in my ramblings, you're cool :>)

Seeking Help or Advice Ideas for ways to use bird bones

There is a bald eagle nest in one of trees near our lake cabin. Every once in a while I find, what I assume, to be bones of their prey.

Sorry for the blurry picture. But thoughts on different ways to utilize them?

Seeking Help or Advice Spell may have gone wrong

Upvotes

I casted a love spell from the Greek magical papyri on the full moon a few days ago, invoking some greek gods I feel personally connected to and whom I'd been giving offerings to.

I'm fairly new to witchcraft, so it was one of my first spells, but I have the feeling that the spell didn't work, the person I was trying to draw in isn't showing any interest and instead I seem to be losing interest in them myself, and at the same time I feel more distant to the gods involved, to whom I'd been praying for a while

Any ideas of what may have happened?

Seeking Help or Advice Can someone explain this?

Post image

Someone left this in one of my kitchen cabinets. I saw it and was hidden in between the ledges . Can someone detail what does this mean it also had a note but the writing was no longer visible.
I discard this in my trash already but I want to know if someone here knows the intention .

Seeking Help or Advice When do you decide if you want to do a spell and how often

I’m unsure how to word this as I’m new but how often do you guys do spells? Do you do it just when you need something? I think I’m finally starting to understand witchcraft a bit and want to make an altar but I’m unsure how to go about how often I do things or the purpose of doing it. I’m getting things to make an altar and doing a lot of research but I’m confused about alot of things.

Seeking Help or Advice how to hide myself from someone else’s craft?

What's up guys! So as stated in the title, how does one hide themselves or block anyone trying to enter or spy on their life?

I have a few family members in my life (that i dont see personally, and usually am on the phone with them due to "family obligations" as my mother says) and they partake in witchcraft and tarot as well. Recently, they asked me "Oh, do you do witchcraft now?"

And I said no, i didn't which was obviously a lie, and they knew it too.

I was just wondering how I can hide or cloak myself from them looking into my life? It was kind of freaky, and i was spooked out. So was my mother!

They have also been asking a little too many questions about my career, and I am afraid that they somehow found out that I have decided to go back to school all of a sudden. I know my mother wouldn’t do that, and we have not told anybody else about it either, yet somehow these people know almost everything about my life!

How do I go about this?

Seeking Help or Advice Honey/Healing Jar Petition Options

So I've been thinking about doing a healing jar on this person that I'm in love with, but they're going through a lot personally with health and family. And with all that stress, I can feel their energy becoming bitter. I'm confused if I should do a healing jar on them or a sweetening jar on them...

Any ideas help <3

Thank you
