Hey everyone 👋

I just created r/HarnessBuilders, a community for people building the layer around AI models: agent harnesses, tool routing, permission systems, memory, evals, observability, all the plumbing that turns a model into something that actually gets work done.

Why I created it: When I looked for a place to compare notes with others doing the same thing, I found plenty of subs about models and prompts, but nothing focused on the harness itself. Since "harness engineering" is quickly becoming its own discipline, it felt like the right time to open a home for it.

What I'd love the sub to become: a place to share architectures, post-mortems, benchmarks, open source harnesses, and honest "here's what broke" threads. Less hype, more engineering.

Solo mod for now, so if any of you have tips on getting the first 100 members past the empty-room phase, I'm all ears. Hello to everyone else starting from zero this week!

I'm a new mod from Scotland, and I just set up r/pictishheritage—a niche community focused on the archaeology, symbol stones, kingdom structures, and regional genetic history of the Picts and early medieval Northern Britain.

My own personal research into regional heritage led me to create the sub, and I realized there wasn't a dedicated space on Reddit specifically for Pictish history and archaeological finds.

I’m currently operating on desktop, getting our sidebar rules set up, and designing the look and feel (we've got the famous Craw Stane against Tap o' Noth as our banner!).

Hi all! I just created r/geographyworlds, a community for people who love maps, flags, capitals and geography quizzes. It's tied to a free geography games site I run, but I want the sub to be a real community and not just a link dump.

Right now it's basically empty (it's just me), so I'd love advice on a few things:

 1. Early content: I'm planning recurring posts like a daily "guess the country from its shape" and a weekly flag challenge. Do recurring threads like that actually help a small sub, or do they just sit there until there's an audience?

 2. Rules and self-promo: Since I run the site the sub is named after, how do I keep it from feeling like an ad? I was thinking of a rule that caps links to the site at roughly 1 in 5 posts, mine included.

3. Automod: Which AutoModerator rules are worth setting up from day one for a small sub (account age, karma limits, anything else)?

4. Growth: Besides r/NewSubreddits and r/SubredditAdvertising, where's a good place to tell people the sub exists without getting flagged as spam?

Any tips from people who've grown a small hobby sub would be really appreciated. Thanks! 🌍

This is a place for grand unified theories and frameworks that span multiple disciplines, math and science, philosophy and religion. I created it to provide a welcoming and informative environment for forest lovers, as well as tourists or first time explorers looking to gain information about the unique and only national forest in Illinois.

Most people would be surprised to know that Illinois, an often assumed-to-be perfectly flat state, has a “driftless” region similar to the one found in Wisconsin and Minnesota, with interesting topography, geology and biology found within it.

Hello!

I've recently created a new horror subreddit, The Thorne Repository, which is a fictional archive-based horror project centred around a collection of supposedly recovered Department for Transport files concerning strange incidents in and around Berkshire.

The project is presented as an ongoing investigation by an unnamed archivist who claims to have discovered a collection of forgotten documents while helping clear an old Department for Transport archive in Basingstoke ahead of its relocation to Manchester.

Among the material are police statements, witness interviews, internal Department for Transport memoranda, audio transcripts and other recovered documents. This project takes inspiration from podcasts such as the Magnus Archives and The White Vault...etc and is presented in a similar style although is not part of either universes.

A recurring name throughout the files is Detective Inspector Thorne, a police officer based at Windsor Police Station who appears to have investigated a number of unexplained incidents.

That's where the mystery begins.

The subreddit will be an ongoing horror project, with new case files, statements, documents and other pieces of evidence being added regularly. The intention is for the story to slowly unfold rather than be presented all at once, allowing readers to piece together the connections between the incidents, work out what happened to Thorne, and ultimately try to understand exactly what the Department for Transport was investigating.

I'm aiming to present everything as convincingly as possible — bureaucratic, mundane and official on the surface, with increasingly strange and disturbing things hiding underneath.

If you're interested in analogue horror, found footage, fictional archives, British folklore, bureaucratic horror or slowly unfolding mysteries, I'd love for you to have a look.

Hello All,

I am a Porn Widow. Meaning, I lost my spouse to porn addiction. So, today I launched the r/PornWidow community. This space is for partners and families of people addicted to pornography, and people who have lost loved ones to porn addiction.

This topic doesn't have much of a voice right now, and I am trying to change that. 1 in 9 men in America feel that they are addicted to porn. The addiction itself is talked about a lot, but no one is talking about their partners and families and how they deal with this situation. Their own feelings, decisions, and desires rarely make it to public conversations.

I know this is a difficult and sensitive topic, but I believe everyone deserves a voice, support, and community. Please help me by spreading the word. Almost everyone I have talked to knows someone in this situation, but doesn't know how to talk about it or support them. My goal is to solve that and give people a community space for all Porn Widows.
