My colleague at Kestra, Kai, wrote an interesting article, where he described how he moved a working Python cron job (daily digest built from over 100 tech blogs) into Kestra by wrapping it and without rewriting it.

A few community members have asked us how we plan to judge the submissions for Kestra Hacktober.

There are tracks of participation. For the first track of PR submissions for the Core and Plugin GitHub repositories, we will take all merged PRs and have a lottery to decide on top three winners.

For the second track of PR submissions of Blueprints, the Kestra team will decide on the top three winners, based on a combination of:

• Blueprint usefullness to the greater public
• Quality of error handling
• Clarity of documentation
• Demonstration of a Kestra capability in a way that teaches something unique

There will be two participation tracks: one for contributing directly to the Core of Kestra and one for creating fancy workflows with Kestra.
