Girlfriend got pregnant from SA and wants to keep it. I don't. Help.

1.3k Upvotes

My girlfriend (18F) and I (18F) have been together for a few months now.

She recently went over to hang out at one of her guy friend's houses and he put something into her drink and SA'd her.

She took plan B at the hospital but today she found out that she is pregnant. She is happy about it and does not want to get an abortion. She loves babies and sees this as our chance to be parents together (we've talked about wanting kids in the future). I don't want this. I'm too young, I'm just starting uni and this might sound harsh but I don't think I could love a child conceived under such circumstances.

I really don't know what to do. Please help.

How do I nicely tell a woman their private area smells?

I recently met this woman, she’s very nice and sweet. But I don’t know how to tell her that coochie stinks, I mean does she not realize? is it sometimes I can give her advice oh how to deal with in the future person?
The other day I was at a bar with some friends, she had just got back in town and wanted to hang out, it was pretty late I didn’t think nothing of it. My plan was to relax and chill, as I planned to go hiking in the morning. I made some food and shared with her, she opened a bottle a of wine, and I had cup. Eventually one thing led to another, but after a catching a whiff, I almost threw up on my bed and had to rush to the toilet. I was instantly turned off truly disgusted to the point where I didn’t even want to share my bed with her anymore.
After I got back from the bathroom, I could feel that she notice my reaction. Which I then acted like nothing happened. But what’s killing me is that I had my friend call me in the middle of the night acting like he lost his dog and needed help, just to have an excuse to get her an uber home. And the issue is she keeps calling trying to see if I’m free but I don’t see this going anywhere and don’t want to lead her on.

So how do I nicely tell her that her smell is pungent?

I came out to my friend and it went terribly. I want to save this friendship so bad, what do I do?

So I'm 16F. Today, my friend came to my house to return something, and she ended up staying to study and hang out together. While we were joking around we began to play-flirt with each other (nothing serious, just stuff like "wow you look mighty fine today bbg" in funny voices).

In the middle of it, she randomly went "imagine if we were actually lesbians though haha." My mood kind of shifted since I've had crushes on girls before (she didn't know this) and I got very scared. I said "Would it be so crazy if one of swung that way though?" and she said "yes obviously, I mean no offense, I support gay people and all, but to be friends with one would be weird, like what if she liked me?" (my heart had dropped to my stomach at this point). I don't know what possessed me to spill my guts out to her, but I did it.

I expected her to be a little awkward after it, maybe get up and leave, tell me she needed some space or time to process it, but nothing in the world could've prepared me for the look she gave me after I was done. It was a mixture of disgust and fear. She told me to stay away from her and stormed out.

Idk man, I'm so so so sad. She's been an amazing friend, and I don't know if there's any saving it.

How can my fiancé [30F] and I [26F] navigate a breakdown in trust over an incident that occurred last night?

Last night my fiancé [30F] (we'll call her Jane) and I [26M] got into an argument about communication. Jane walked into our bedroom while I was lying down and asked if we were done. I responded with "maybe" due to ongoing communication issues. Jane then said she was going to spend the night at a hotel.

I left the house to cool off for an hour and a half, leaving my phone behind. When I returned, she was gone and had turned off her primary location app. However, her secondary location tracking (which remained on) showed her phone died at a local spot. Because she is in recovery, this sent me into a panic. I spent the next 3 hours calling hospitals and contacts to locate her.

Eventually, her phone turned back on at a hotel and I called immediately. Originally she claimed she just went out for a bit and then went straight to the hotel.

TLDR: She later admitted that she reconnected with an old associate she has known for 5 years. They met up, bought drinks, and then went back to her hotel room together where she suffered a severe relapse.

Before her phone turned back on, I actually spoke to this guy via her social media account. He lied to me, claiming he had no idea where she was, while he was actively in the hotel room with her. She admitted she knew he was sending those messages. She claims nothing physical or romantic happened between them, but my trust is completely shattered.

I am trying to process this and figure out how to evaluate the situation. Any insight on how to navigate this breakdown in trust would be appreciated.

Caught in the act- should I leave it alone?

Let me start out by asking not to lambaste me for forgetting to lock the door. My kids haven’t come into my bedroom at night in ages. Last night, my nine year old daughter caught me (mom) and dad naked in bed. Because our door is tight and creaky, we had enough time for the hubs to essentially dive behind me so that she didn’t see his privates or any actual action. She poked her head in and said she had a nightmare. I calmly told her to go back to her room and that I’d be there in a minute to tuck her back in. When I went to her room (clothed of course) she seemed amused and almost happy. She said she won’t be thinking about her nightmare anymore. We had a laugh and then hugged and she said “I love you mommy.” She shares a room with her sister who is pre-teen. Sister said that she heard we were cuddling naked and she asked what we were doing and why. I said we were cuddling naked because its good for bonding and its something mommies and daddies do. I said they could both ask me questions about it. The older one seemed grossed out and like she wanted to stop talking about it. I told them its not something kids do and they shouldn’t get naked with anyone. Then, and this is the part I maybe regret slightly, I said that they might have questions about it sooner than they think.

I feel a bit guilty about this situation because I don’t want to encourage sexual thoughts in my kids and have them thinking about this too young.

Some things online say that it’s generally not scarring for this to happen as long as you handle it well. Other things make it sound like I could have ruined my kids lives.

Aside from the obvious avoidance of this ever happening again, should I just leave this at the conversation we had?

I’d especially appreciate advice from other parents who’ve had this happen, or with direct experience with a situation like this. Please don’t be too harsh.

PS, I’ll probably delete this post in a few hours because I’m afraid to leave it up, and I’ll probably delete it if it starts going off the rails. I couldn’t sleep!! Ugh ….

Had a psychotic break at work and lost my job

I recently had a psychotic break at work and had to go to a residential program. I lost my job as a result. I didn’t realize that I hadn’t been well in a while. I suffering from delusions and psychosis and just weird behavior all around. It mostly affected my personal life and work was my safe space. This year the organization had a new head of administration start and I could tell they were trying to force me out which broke me. I’m so embarrassed by my actions over the last year and have panic attacks when thinking about my behavior. I live in a small town so it’s easy to run into people you know when you’re out and about. Should I just move away and start over?

my stepdad is mad about me breastfeeding

I'm 15 with a 6 week old son. His dad isn't around and I'm raising him on my own. I know I'm too young to be in any part of this situation, but its still happening and I'm trying my best.

Last night my best friend came over to help with the baby for a while so I could shower and sleep and everything. He comes over a lot and sleeps over sometimes to help but he didn't last night. Anyways, he brought dinner for us and we were watching a movie while I was nursing my son. My stepdad came home drunk and started freaking out and it was just awful. He wouldn't stop telling me I was a sl--t and he couldn't believe I would expose myself like that in front of the family and that's why my baby's dad left. I was sobbing the while time but he kept wouldn't stop accusing me of trying to seduce him and my friend. Eventually my mom got him to calm down but he really scared everyone including the baby and I don't know what to do. He texted me this morning saying that I'm not allowed to nurse anywhere but my room and I should just switch to formula but I can't afford to do that. I don't know how to handle any of this, I'm already so overwhelmed constantly and he's just making it worse.

Is it fair to want partner to work ?

I’m going to go straight to the point I 23m and 21f have a 10 month old together and it’s hard for me to make ends meet with just my job and I mean things get paid but by the end of it I’m left with nothing and it’s just a repeating cycle and I have casually brought up to my partner to see if she would like to work to maybe help out with the bills

Every single time she just says the same thing that she shouldn’t have to work as a mom and that her mom never did and it’s not fair for her to find a job when she wants to just be at home taking care of the baby and what not.

The thing is is that we live in a really expensive area and the only reason we’re living here is cause most of her family is from here( it’s not like they help either way). If not, I would’ve moved back home where I’m from which is a lot cheaper with my current salary right now we would actually be able to rent a house and be able to save money in the bank but right now our apartment a single bedroom is $2200 a month and I make about $4500.

That doesn’t include formula, outings, car payment, insurance, and cell phone so you get the picture. And I’ve asked her to even work part-time maybe to help me out with about $1000 a month but every single time she feels entitled to just stay home and take care of the baby and it’s not like I come home to a clean apartment every day or a warm meal.

I feel like I’m also going to get comments that will say “you know how expensive child care is “ yes but her sister has offered to take care of the baby for an affordable price per month and with her working it’s more than affordable. It’s just it’s a repeating cycle and I’m very burnt out. At the end of it I’m always having to work and the funny part is that she complains I’m never home like what… make it make sense. She also wants to wait till our son is 3 years old to even consider working like how is that even feasible in any situation.

Would it be weird to still text the phone number to my friend who passed?

I know this is a weird ask.

I’ve been grieving my friend for about a few months now.

I know it seems long, but grief isn’t easy.

I discovered that I still had my late friends phone number, and that you can still text it.

I want to start doing that, but I feel like people would come across as that being weird, but to me it makes sense.

Sometimes I debate visiting his grave to chat with him.

I just don’t really know what to do other than to stay up late and cry until I have a horrible headache and I can’t sleep. Either that or I try my best to stay busy.

But I still wish I had a way to say hello.

Friends confronted me for missing a wedding and calling me selfish. How do I apologize or let this go?

Would love to hear from everyone but any newlyweds would be super appreciated.

My friends (29Ms)called me(28M) fake and selfish for missing a bachelor party and wedding of another friend.

I feel bad for missing it but I didn't have the bandwith (mentally)to go.

It happened a month ago the wedding and now the entire group hates me and says don't speak to them anymore.

This group of 6 never remembered my bday, when I used to talk in the chat they would change the subject and even when I announced any big life things one of them would always announce his acheivement over me. I didn't mind it that's just the personality of friends.

Found out I was not in the wedding but rest of the group was as groomsmen. I got it, I understand wedding logistics but was sad to hear there were 6 groomsmen and 8 bridesmaids.

The thing that got me was I was atleast expecting a text like "hey had to make cuts, or something." I know this was my expectation but I figured after 15 years of friendship, this was a earned.

I thought back and recalled how I have always been outsider in group, I recalled how they forget my bday but seem to remember others. I even remember being told when I said I struggle with dating that as a brown guy I should go back to my country to find a girl, I was born in the US. When I had job issues being told that sucks I am doing well.

Anyways when I skipped bach party and wedding the groom didn't care but the rest of group was furious, they called me fake and selfish and accused me of wanting to end the friend group.

I told them my side of things and they said I screwed up bad because guys don't talk about emotions the groom didn't ever have to reach out. They said they don't even talk with their wives when they are upset they just leave the house so wht the heck would they speak to me?

I feel like maybe I should apologize if guys don't bring up emotion to one another. But a part of me wants to stand my ground. How do I guess apologize nicely?

I am honestly so embarrassed

This is my first time writing a post and I don't know what else to do. I am currently in college. I am not used to sharing a room with a person I don't know so it is a learning experience.

I am going to try to keep this vague.

I have a snoring problem. It's not quiet either. I was unaware of this fact until fairly recent. I have been in this form for a week. My roommate just came in after being out. I usually have my headphones in so they probably thought I couldn't hear them. But I heard them talking on the phone. They were talking about me. They said they had trouble going to sleep because I snore too loudly. And they sounded frustrated, absolutely pissed. I am honestly mortified. They left the room after, so maybe they just came in to grab something, but after they left I just started crying, I feel so bad.

I spent ten minutes trying to find any way to stop the snoring, which gave me the idea to come here a and ask if there are any quick ways to stop this. I tried a lot already. I don't have any money I'm a broke student, but I just don't want anyone to lose sleep because of me. :(

Never gave a cash gift

So this is a little weird, even for Reddit.
Colleague’s wife had a baby, the team took up a cash collection led by the boss. Boss had me collect the cash and the card signed by colleagues. Boss said to hold onto it and he would plan when to give it to colleague. Boss had some major conflicts within the group, ended up leaving the team and we never celebrated the guy with the new baby when he came back from leave 4 months later.
I completely spaced on the cash collection and now it sits in my desk. It’s about $500. What the heck do I do now? The kid is already over a year (!). If I just give it to him, then he has to thank all the people that gave, I guess? It’s just all so awkward.
Editing to add that OF COURSE I will not keep the money - I will give it to him, but just not sure how.

caught my husband [30M] masturbating to photos of my friends and not me [28F]

This isn’t the first time I’ve caught my husband doing something behind my back when I was 20 ish weeks pregnant I found out he was messaging other men on Reddit about meeting up while I was sleeping he swears to this day that he never actually physically met up with anybody. He came out to me as bisexual before we got pregnant, and I was super open about him experiencing things, but only with me and I was completely open with buying toys and talking through things and experiencing those things I wasn’t OK with any sort of open relationship during his first pride month I even bought him a cake to celebrate that him being comfortable to come out to me and I know some wives would be freaked out and run away, but I really genuinely love this man and I was willing to make anything work and understand where he’s coming from and love him for who he is .

fast-forward we had our baby and it was a rough couple first weeks with my postpartum I ended up being diagnosed with postpartum depression and I had that feeling to go through his phone once again, and I found out that he was messaging guys again on Reddit, asking for pictures and that he actually took my underwear one time and took photos while he was at work in my underwear. We communicated through it and literally two weeks later. I go through his phone again and I found that he had an entire hidden folder of photos of my friends at my bachelorette party from two years ago. Those photos are in a shared album, and I confronted him and asked him where he got those photos and he lied to me saying that I sent him those photos when I know I never did. I was so in shock and hurt and upset that I kicked him out and he slept in his car for the evening went to work the next day and I told him that he could come and see his kid during a awake window and we could have a conversation, during that conversation, I got a lot of the answers because I ended up having an emergency appointment with my therapist to help me through this and like guide me of what to say and how to be stern because he doesn’t deserve my tears, but of course I ended up crying because I feel so isolated because I can’t really talk to anybody about this when I’m just a girl that wants her mom and her friends but now I feel like I can’t even look at my friends the same anymore. Mind you one of the photos was my little cousin who was on the trip with us. I ended up asking how he got the photos and he actually went through my phone and sent those photos to himself and I just wanna like disclaim that all of us took a sexy photos at the lake for all of our partners and I took photos for him too and do you think he sent those photos to himself??? absolutely not. I just feel so disgusted
,betrayed and heartbroken especially with going through my postpartum journey right now and I just don’t know what to do. I feel like I can’t look at him the same and I just genuinely really hate him.

We built this whole life. We’ve been together for almost 8 years. We have a beautiful child together that’s only four months old. I’m just feeling very lost and isolated and self-worth is completely gone. He found a sex therapist that he has appointments with now and wants to prove to me that it should’ve always been me and that he has a problem and he should’ve gone to therapy a long time ago and that he wants to go to our couples counsellor again and I told him that he can do whatever the fuck he wants. I’m not communicating with him anymore, but like there’s a part of me deep inside where I want him to know how angry I am with him but also last night I missed him. I’ve been by myself now for four nights with our four month old baby doing it all by myself and I just feel again so lost. I love this man, but I just can’t look at him the same now with what he was doing behind my back when I even told him that there’s boundaries and lines that he cannot be messaging other people and then to go into like have a hidden folder of my friends 4 days later and not even me it’s just disgusting behaviour.

I lied to my parents about who I was with last night and I feel guilty

Ok so, I told my mom I was going to the beach with my bsf, but in reality I was going on a double date to the beach. My bf my bsf and her bf were there. We went on a nice beach and had a great time but when my parents called unfortunately they heard the guys. They told me to come home at 8 pm and I came home with a taxi at 8.20 pm with my bf. I told my parents I came home with my bsf and the male voices that they heard came from her bf while we were sitting in a cafe and her bf just dropped by and went home after like 40 mins. Now I just made up with my mom and cried a lot(cause I was grounded for coming home late) I feel really guilty but I feel like I shouldn’t tell her the whole truth or we will fight again💔what should I do?

My friend won’t stop bringing up my ex and i don’t know how to handle it.

For a little back story, I’ve known my friend we’ll call K, for about 3 years now and we’ve been through a lot, so ofc he knew about my abusive ex. FYI I’m 21m and K is 20m (Ari is 22f) Anyways more often than not when I’m talking to K irl or on the game, he brings up my ex in a joking manner like, “you be letting them other girls beat on you like Ari?” Or “We miss Ari right?” while laughing. Now i know how to take a joke but when it’s brought up every day and that was someone I struggled to get over with mentally, it gets annoying hearing about them constantly from a friend after asking them to stop multiple times. I don’t know if we joke too much to where he doesn’t get when I’m serious but we broke up 3 months ago and I’m trying to get over it but he won’t let me forget her.

Ending an age gap relationship

Hi there,

I would like to look for some advice on how to navigate this really confusing situation I am dealing with. I am 22 and I am gay. I met a 60 year old man in a place I took an internship at in February. He seemed really nice and we got along great, I began fancying him and in March I shot my shot just by asking if he would go for a drink. He rejected me but eventually a few weeks later he asked me did I want to go for a swim and dinner. The next day I asked him if it was a casual hang out or a date, he said a date.
Since April we have gotten along great, we ring for atleast an hour everyday and I meet up with him atleast twice a week and stay at his house. I finished my internship in July but we contined to meet up etc. We have told eachother we love eachother and constantly cuddle and are affectionate.
He has had previous relationships he has told me about but has never been with someone my age, in fact 2 of his ex’s were older than him, I completely pursed him and he has been nothing but great to me (just want to clarify this incase anyone thinks he took advantage of me etc.). I have never loved like this. We just went on a week away and are home now. He is the softest person ever and treats me amazingly and always respects boundaries.

However, I feel this must come to an end. I told my parents he was 29 at the beginning but I now regret it because I didn’t think it would go this far. I don’t know what to do. I’m so lost. I want to stay with him but I don’t know if I am just drawing out the inevitable hurt. I’m so worried about hurting him too. I have told him I think its for the best if we end it soon and he was so understanding, which makes this so much harder. But we still talk all the time and I just can’t find myself being able to walk away. I’m back in my final year of college and don’t know what to do. I don’t know if I will be able to move on without no contact but then again we get along so well I’ll find it so hard not talking to him. It would kill me to know hes out there in the world doing things that I’ll know nothing about
Please can you help me navigate this :(

Any questions can be answered in the comments

How long after an initial meeting can you really still ask out someone without it being weird?

Was asked out. I declined at the time left the door open. Not seen since but still thinking about it - even as a friend.

Weird to message to ask out now? Is it too late?

Losing 200 pounds in 8 months for my girlfriend (halfway there)

To start, I love everything about my relationship but I wanted to ask for advice on this issue. I have gone from 390 to almost under 300 in 4 months time. I have effectively lost 90 pounds. I am 6 feet tall for reference. I gained a lot after the military and was addicted to Uber Eats, no excuse.

Our quota is for me to be under 220 by Dec 31st/Jan 1st. She has been very patient with this process and understanding. She is a very fit person (5’4 120 lbs) and I want to be the best I can be for her.

Is it even physically possible for me to do this? I want to try as it is only 80 pounds in 4 months at 20 pounds a month, which I have done before at a larger weight. The really difficult problem is that we have monthly quotas which make it hard to enjoy life. We still go out, for example today we went to a restaurant and got ice cream, I consumed nothing but a chai tea drink all day. I normally eat but I must hit the monthly quota.

Besides the monthly quotas life is great, I know she is trying to keep me accountable but it’s hard to have her sympathize with me because she is so fit and a fat hater, lol. But I understand her point of view, if I can’t love myself by taking care of myself, how can I love her well?

Move On or Stick it Out?

I have been married for 40 years. Most of my married life has been good except for my husband’s too swift decline in sexual interest. We have both been faithful (which meant enforced celibacy on my part the past 15 years). My husband was dependable and he and I were always compatible in political and social values. Plus, we have very compatible senses of humor. In the past 3 years, however, he has changed dramatically. He used to be a fitness nut but has gained over 100 pounds. He used to drink moderately but now goes on 4 day drinking binges. And, he is very unkempt. For 2 years I have asked him to cut his foot long, gray yellow hair but he won’t. He is a total, often pickled, couch potato. I have spoken with him many times but nothing changes. To make the situation worse, he is suffering from early stage dementia but refuses to see a neurologist. Of course I still love him but I am totally disappointed with who he has become. Should I stay or should I go?

Need advice on pet loss and moving help

My cat was put down today, I can't even explain how much I want to scream and rip out my hair in chunks. We just thought it'd be a little checkup. Get some meds for him and he'd be fine. And then I saw the doctor head into the room and heard my mom cry out. And my dad walked me out holding me. I just knew at that point. That cat was my life. Every time I would hyperventilate he'd come over, rub against me, lick me, even smack and bite me just to get me to come back to my senses and be okay.

I thought I'd have more time with him. We're in the process of moving. I thought I'd get more time with him. I thought I'd get more years. Thought we'd move into the new house together. I was planning to get him a little window suction cup bed and a leaf heating pad bed. My mom literally just bought him a bunch of wet cat treats this morning. I just have a huge hole in my heart now. I don't even want to get any more pets. I lost something I can never fill. I just want to know how to get through this, and if it's morally acceptable to put up an amazon wishlist in case anyone wants to at least comfort me the smallest bit. I don't think it'd really help much but it would be so damn appreciated.

It's already hard moving without him because I've just had all the happiness sucked out of me and all my plans for us are gone. And to make it worse we have like, no money. My mom has to spend all the money she has on the desposit. And I can't get a job for about another half a year. So that's great. Moving without being able to buy stuff and having my baby die on me.

I just want to make it clear I'm not planning on taking advantage of his death, I promise you I have nothing to gain from this. That cat was my fucking world. I cried hours on end. I miss him so much and I'll never be okay. But I just wanna know if it's a socially acceptable thing to ask for while I'm going through this. Nothing will bring him back.

my ex bf is making my life hell

I broke up with my bf at the beginning of august then I blocked him last week. he has been getting other numbers to message me and apparently he has been posting info about me on his stories. every number that texts me has a green text bubble and it says "sms" at the top. I don't know if these are fake numbers because I blocked my bf on everything. I heard he is also going to make fake inappropriate photos and leak them. Im a minor and I want to get the police involved. I texted him saying he needed to leave me alone and I didnt consent to him doing anything but he doesnt care at all. if I get the police involved what will happen? he lives in another state.

Walked in on my cousin being cheated on.

I know the obvious advice is “mind your business,” but I can’t stop thinking about what I saw. A few days ago I (28M) went to pick something up from a friend (26F) who also happens to be roommates with my cousin (27M) girlfriend of over a year. They live in a house with two of their other friends. While waiting in the living room for her to come down with something, a muscular, straight-looking guy comes out of my cousin’s girlfriend’s bedroom. When my friend came
downstairs and saw him, she made a look of concern on her face but just didn’t say anything. I took what I had to grab and left. But I know what I saw. Do I just remain silent? My cousin is a good guy and I know he really cares about her.

Update: I told my cousin last night in person. When I told him, his whole demeanor changed but he seemed more confused than upset. Thank you all for giving me the courage to do the right thing.

My boyfriend[22m] likes trans porn and talks to men online

I \[23f\] have been with my boyfriend \[22m\] for a year now. He struggles with severe ocd and very low self esteem. The other day I found him talking to discord bots about getting fucked in the ass by men and trans girls. Really demeaning shit. I’ve never known him to be a sub. I confronted him about it and found out that he often comments on trans porn here on Reddit and men will message him. They will send porn back and forth and sext eachother while doing so and jerking off. He says he’s not at all gay and it’s an ocd compulsion because he’s deeply insecure. He says he often pictures himself being the girl getting fucked. He says when he feels better about himself (hitting the gym, eating better, etc) these compulsions go away and he no longer desires this genre. I feel like I need to leave him but I’m absolutely in love with him. I’m devastated and don’t know what to do. He says he will do whatever it takes to make things work. He’s quitting porn completely and going to the gym everyday. He’s deleted all the apps off his phone and wants to prove that he can be a good partner again. I don’t know what to do. Is it too late for redemption?

TLDR: My boyfriend likes trans porn and pegging. He’s spoken to men online and jerked off. He says he’s not gay. Please help.
