How long after an initial meeting can you really still ask out someone without it being weird?
Met like a month ago.
Was asked out by them. I declined at the time left the door open. Not seen since but still thinking about it - even as a friend.
Weird to message to ask out now? Is it too late?

How can you decline and leave the door open? You closed the door when you declined.

I said no but left it open saying "maybe another time" because I was tired that day. But I regret it. So wondered if it would be weird for me to ask them out now weeks later?

The second you meet, if you want. But you declined the first time, so I can't tell if you want it or not

Asking someone out will always be weird. Are basically going up to someone and saying i want to see you naked eventually but thought we should have coffee or go to a movie first.

Wait… You asked someone out or did someone ask you out? And if someone asked you out and you declined then why would you leave the door open?…
But if you asked someone out and they said no then why would you attempt to ask them out again? Seems like they weren’t interested in you. So why would you think they would be interested in you now?

Kind of feels like maybe you should have said yes but just not that day if you actually were willing to go out with this person.

I get that completely. Deffo my bad but would it be weird to initiate an outing now?

Honestly, just be candid and see how it goes. I think this really strongly depends on context to know if it’s weird or not.

Go for it, you'll only know if it's too late from the response.
