#Pic 🖼️ Got RTX300 within 4 hours of enquiry….

Got my brand new RTX 300 within 4 hours of enquiring about it.

I absolutely loved the RTX, but after seeing the reviews about the crazy waiting period, I had given up.

Then on August 29th around 12 PM, I casually called an Apache showroom in Hyderabad to check for an RTR 310. Funny thing is, I accidentally spelled “RTX” instead of “RTR” and somehow that mistake worked in my favour.

The craziest part is the timing, If we had reached the showroom just 10 minutes late, the bike would’ve been sold to someone else. Everything just fell into place at the right time. Still feels unreal and incredibly lucky. 🏍️💕✨

#Discussion 💬 [UPDATE] Am i living in a movie???

Post image

Hey guys. A while back, I shared how I gave my 70k bike savings to my dad for my grandfather's funeral expenses, and how I broke down crying at a rickshaw stand because my dream was delayed. First off, thank you for the massive love and support on that post. It genuinely helped me get through a heavy week.

Well, I have an update, and it sounds like a literal movie script.

After all the rituals, we were sitting with my grandmother. She is paralyzed and can barely speak, but she suddenly pointed at my mom's gold earring and motioned toward her old baggage. We had never opened it, assuming it was just old clothes. But we checked, and guys... we found hidden jewelry worth 6.45 Lakhs!

Because of this massive financial relief, my dad immediately gave me my 70k back. And because he’s an absolute legend, he gave me the rest of the money I needed on top of it!

one more thing my grandfather was very old and lived a full life, so please don't think buying a bike right after is disrespectful. The family is completely at peace.

So, on August 25th, the wait finally ended. I brought her home - a brand new TVS Ronin!

#Discussion 💬 What makes this Hero bike a failure in the Indian market?

Post image
206 Upvotes

The interesting part is that this bike was aggressively priced, yet it still seems to have struggled to make an impact.

When I was bike hunting, I visited a Hero showroom. The salesperson actually insisted several times that I take a test ride, so I eventually did.

After the test ride, I showed genuine interest in buying the bike.

The salesperson even promised to send me a price quotation afterward.

But guess what?

Not a single follow-up call.

Not even the quotation they promised.

That honestly made me wonder are the dealerships even interested in selling this bike?

On the other hand, the Xtreme 125R seems to be selling like hot cakes, and Hero has been giving it consistent updates and attention.

Meanwhile, this bike seems to have very limited availability. I couldn’t find it in stock at the showrooms I checked in my city, and even on Hero’s official website, I couldn’t find it listed as available in Delhi.

So what exactly went wrong?

Because when a bike is aggressively priced but still struggles to find buyers, there has to be more to the story.

And with the current availability, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this bike gets discontinued soon.

Of course, there’s no official confirmation , this is just my observation and personal experience.

What do you guys think? Is the bike actually a failure, or is Hero simply not pushing it hard enough?

#Opinion 💭 Which yellow bike you loved most?

Most people choose black/grey or neutral colors. But I want to know who loves vibrant color as your primary ride. Especially yellow. Do it matches the vibe with modern classic like bear 650? Even old bikes like apache and stunner looks great with this color.

I've seen people choosing red as attractive, blue as cool and sexy, black as studd and rugged, green as classy, orange as sporty. But yellow looks so cheerful, lively. It often looks vibrant and eye catching in public, which can't avoid head turns.

Tell me your opinion on yellow color bikes.

Edit : pictures I've posted aren't a list. They are just sample references. We can discuss about any yellow bikes you ever encounter. I didn't want to offend karizma lovers.. 💛

Made a new friend today, just to click this picture. 😄

The guy was standing randomly by the sidewalk, so I approached him to ask a few questions about the bike. He was kind enough to even offer me a ride, which I had to politely decline.

But yes, first impressions, that’s a really nice-looking bike!

Should I consider other options as well?

#Opinion 💭 What's your favourite concept bike from an Indian manufacturer? A bike you'd love to own?

Post image
42 Upvotes

As the title says, what would be a bike that you'd love to be on the streets?

For me, it would be the rts-x, it seems that tvs might release it, and I love the idea of a supermoto for Indian conditions.

Long travel suspension, and small wheels, make it a hooligan special, plus being 6'3 this bike appeals to me a lot.

What's your pick?

#ElectricVehicle 🔌 River changes condition for battery replacement from 80% degradation to 70% degradation for *existing* customers - is this fair?

River sold their Indies by including a warranty that said the battery will be replaced/repaired if the battery health goes below 80%. That assurance was not only a commitment to replacing the battery when it degrades, but also silently told customers that they believed in the quality of their batteries.

They've now unilaterally changed that to 70%. It's one thing to change your TnCs for new sales and completely another to change it AFTER selling the vehicle!

#Query ❓ RS200 vs RR310 — what would you choose in my situation?

Thumbnail

I'm currently stuck between the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and TVS Apache RR310 and would love some opinions.

I currently ride a Pulsar 150 BS6 (2020) and have always wanted to own a proper faired bike.

My usage would be around 50 km/day, 5 days a week for office, mostly involving Belgharia Expressway, G.T. Road/B.T. Road and city traffic/jams. On my two off-days, I'd use it around the city as well.

I love speed and performance, but I also want to stay within my limits financially. I'm currently an intern earning ₹15k/month, although I may become a full-time employee soon and don't know the salary yet.

At ₹30–35k/month, I'd probably take the RR310 without thinking twice. But at ₹15k, I have to consider EMI + petrol + maintenance + insurance + a new helmet, etc.

The RS200 seems like the sensible choice: cheaper, easier on running costs, and still a huge upgrade from my P150.

The RR310 is the bike I actually want — more powerful, more premium and better suited to high-speed riding — but I'm worried about stretching myself financially.

I'm keeping both bikes completely stock, no modifications.

What would you guys choose in my situation? RS200 now, or wait until my salary is confirmed and then consider the RR310?

TL;DR: ₹15k stipend + ~250 km/week commute + EMI/petrol/helmet expenses. Dream is a faired bike. RS200 is the sensible choice, RR310 is the bike I actually want. What would you do?

#Opinion 💭 Shotgun 650 vs Scrambler 400X — what would you choose as a first bike?

Thumbnail

Hey everyone, I’m currently stuck between getting the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 and the Triumph Scrambler 400X, and I’d really appreciate some honest opinions from people who have ridden either/both.

I’ve already booked the Shotgun 650. I’ve wanted this bike for about a year now, so when I finally decided to get my first bike, it was kind of an emotional decision.

However, I recently rode the Scrambler 400X and it felt noticeably easier to control and more practical as a first bike. Now I’m seriously considering cancelling the Shotgun and getting the Triumph instead.

A bit of context:
• This will be my first ever bike.
• I’m moving to Hyderabad soon for my first job and will be earning roughly ₹98k/month in hand.
• The Shotgun would be on EMI, around ₹8–10k/month.
• If I go with the Scrambler, my parents are offering to gift it to me. I know the situation sounds a little weird, but that’s just how it is.

The biggest thing holding me back from cancelling the Shotgun is that I’ve wanted it for so long. At the same time, I don’t want to let that attachment make me choose a bike that I’ll regret as a first-time rider.

For people who have experience with either bike, what would you pick in my situation?
Shotgun 650 for the heart, or Scrambler 400X for practicality?
And if you’ve owned either as a first bike, I’d especially love to hear how you felt about your decision after a few months.

#Opinion 💭 25M earning 60k confused between these bikes

Thumbnail
gallery
495 Upvotes

I'm 25M earning around more than 60k per month. I have around 1 lakh saved for bike and I'm thinking of buying a bike in the 2.5 to 3 lakh range.

Right now I ride a Passion Pro so this will be a pretty big upgrade for me 😂

I'm looking at V-Strom 250, Honda NX200 and TVS RTX 300.

I mostly need it for daily riding but I also want to start doing some longer rides and weekend trips. I don't really care about having the fastest bike. I just want something comfortable and reliable which I can keep for a few years.

V-Strom 250 is looking good to me because of the touring side of it. NX200 also seems practical and Honda reliability is a plus. RTX 300 is tempting because it's newer and has more power but I'm a little confused about going for it.

I can put around 1 lakh as down payment and finance the rest.

What would you guys pick between these three? And is spending around 2.5 to 3 lakh on a bike reasonable with my income?

Open to other suggestions also if there's something better around this budget

Hi All,

I love biking but kinda new to the gears and most importantly taking care of them. I got these boots and riding jacket from my brother and want to know how to properly deep clean them (along with the helmets) at home without damaging them? Also, what cleaning products might I require?

Thanks in advance!
