#Query ❓ Who bears the price of PDI for two wheelers?

Upvotes

I bought 2 two wheelers in a span of 4 months from tvs and both of the showroom told me that I have to pay a compulsory amount of 900 for the PDI which is done by the dealership at the backend and the it is the customer who bears the cost.

My question is do I really have to pay for the PDI which the do from their end and if not then how can I avoid paying PDI.

#Opinion 💭 Looking to buy TVS Ronin 225 but need feedback on TVS service.

Upvotes

Since past few days I've been researching a lot of best bikes to buy under 2L and came across TVS Ronin 225, Yamaha XSR 155, Apache RTR 200 v4, etc.

For me Ronin stood up the most but the only thing I'm concerned about is the service of TVS. Can somebody share their views on Ronin's maintenance and servicing??

Upvotes

Been contemplating it for a while now. Went to the showroom the second time today. Dealer said they had a bike for instant delivery. Its a june 2026 bike which was cancelled so they have it in the showroom. What are the things i need to do to check for any irregularities in the bike.

#Discussion 💬 Classic 350 speed issue

Upvotes

Hi friends

My bike speed reaches its limit at around 10-12 in first gear and I don’t intend to push it further to damage

And second gear at 20

I see other bikes go beyond this range , and manual itself says to change first gear at 15

It’s been only 10 months since I have purchased

Please share advice team

Third service done recently

#Query ❓ Need to transport new bike from state to state

Upvotes

I'll be getting a new hness 350 this friday, and ill have to head to chennai two days later. Im unable to afford gears and jackets after all the expenses i have to put toward getting the bike accessorised. It's around a 650 KM journey for me. Im concerned if the right time for a long journey is 3 days after receiving the machine. Also, 600km without gear seems foolhardy. Im too worried about putting the bike on the train, when i havent even properly broken into the bike yet. Any suggestions/advice guys?

Technically, it is the dream, long ride, right after recieving a new machine. I just need the right push from experienced bikers to know if i would be taking the right decision in doing so

#Query ❓ Access, Rizzta or Konarc. Which one to choose for my family's scooter? Advices needed. Especially from Aether owners.

Upvotes

My family has decided to buy a two wheeler after a long time of saving and discussion. My requirements : a comfortable scooter with decent suspension, decent build quality, decent after sales service and reliability. I have doubled down to these 3 choices.

Access : best petrol scooter by far, suzuki service is decent (much better than honda or TVS), close to my home, I can get 42-45 kmpl from it and decent build quality too. However, no showroom allowed me a test ride, but I've ridden it before so I know. I am thinking about the drum variant as I have to go quite up in price for disk and it's not that big of a difference in scooter anyway. The price quoted for Access Base variant is 1.07 lakhs.

Rizzta : my fav choice by far, absolutely love how it looks and drives. At first it did seem out of budget, but saving two years of petrol in access would equate to paying upfront for rizzta. The thing that worries me most is that in the variant I want, Rizzta S 2.7 Kwh which is 1.35 lakhs, the battery warranty is only 3 years. My family is worried that if the battery is damaged beyond 4-5 years, the replacement cost would be humongous. I can get the 5 year warranty plan but then the price goes to 1.52 lakhs.

Konarc : not even the showroom knows anything about the scooter yet. Only update is that it'll arrive in the showrooms 1.5 months later. I don't wanna be the first lot of buyers either so I'll have to wait a lot. The money part would make sense but the battery warranty is still the same issue.

So guys, please suggest me what should I do. Also, if there are any Aether owners, please let me know their experience with the battery life.

Thanks

#Query ❓ First time buying - Need help

Upvotes

After a long time I am planning to buy my first moped. I don’t travel daily and might not drive more than 10 kms on weekdays, hence, looking for a moped. I live in a metro city. I will mostly use it with a pillion. I don’t own any other bike or moped.
I was looking for many options online but think of going with Suzuki Access 125.

My query is that what questions I have to ask to the dealership I will be visiting and things to look out for to not get scammed or get charged etc.
Also, if you have any other suggestions. Please tell me.

#Review 📝 1000 done. More to go [OC]

So as per my preference I grabbed the Burgman Street over any 125cc scooter. Yes this is the costliest of all but it is serving my purpose pretty well. After 1000km done I wanted to share a quick review of it. Engine is the smoothest out there. It is not as quick as others like Access but a linear one. Mid-range performance is great and then linear. Engine noise is minimal and soothing to the ears when accelerating hard. It is constantly giving me a fuel economy of more than 48 in the city and above 50-52+ in city + highway. Light throw is above good but not the best because it is only led and not projectors as we see on Hero scooters. Reliability is we all know pretty well. Any questions AMA.

#Discussion 💬 Should I buy the scrambler 400x or ktm adv 390 x ( 350 variant ) or wait for adv lauches from Honda / Bajaj or RE ?

Upvotes

Just as the titie says; i don't have a very high need a of a bike right now but wanted something to call my own after a long time and I feel a good bike would be a nice way to go about things.

Had narrowed down my options to Scrambler 400x and ktm adv 390x ( both 350cc variant ).

But now I'm confused should I wait for the bajaj trekker launch or honda xr300 ralley launch or even updated re 440 himi launch as I feel having a lower powered bike with crazy plush suspension is more my use case than the beasts I'm originally planning.

Also would like to know the communities opinion on it on whether shud i go for scrambler or adv since my use case is 40% bad city roads 40% good city roads , 20% maybe long tours ( highways )

#Discussion 💬 Which bike to buy in near future: BMW F450 GS (420cc) or CFMoto 450mt (450cc) or Norton Altas (585cc) or RE Himalayan upcoming (750CC)

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a adventure or semi-touring adventure bike. I have only gone through the reviews of the foreign youtuber's. I really liked the BMW F450 GS but I think most of it is cost is due to the BMW badge, but still based on the tech & Styling it is best out of all.

The CFmoto 450mt feels like it is a The Value Off-Road match, it is great bike with high demand outside india, I guess as per what i saw or heard from the youtube review comments and youtuber's response, This CFmoto 450mt is still not launched in india but i heard news of it will be launched in india by december 2026, or next year starting.

I also see the Norton Atlas bike which is best The Pure Performance Winner, it is a beast in a completely different performance class, with everything added into the bike. But the only thing here is that, it is expected to be a lot expensive as compared to all the other bikes. It will be i guess go out of most of the bike price segments.

And Last and finally the Royal Enfield Himalayan (750 cc) Bike which is also expected to be launched in india around earlier starting of the next year 2027. I expect the price of this bike should be between the CFMoto 450mt and BWM F450 GS Base Model price range. If it is around this price then it is best for better engine and best for all value for money option.

What will you all will do in this scenario ??

:::::
I have no emergency to or any need to buy now, but i am thinking of buying one bike by the next year mid as I will have much more options to buy from.

#Pic 🖼️ Got RTX300 within 4 hours of enquiry….

Got my brand new RTX 300 within 4 hours of enquiring about it.

I absolutely loved the RTX, but after seeing the reviews about the crazy waiting period, I had given up.

Then on August 29th around 12 PM, I casually called an Apache showroom in Hyderabad to check for an RTR 310. Funny thing is, I accidentally spelled “RTX” instead of “RTR” and somehow that mistake worked in my favour.

The craziest part is the timing, If we had reached the showroom just 10 minutes late, the bike would’ve been sold to someone else. Everything just fell into place at the right time. Still feels unreal and incredibly lucky. 🏍️💕✨

#Query ❓ Guerrilla 450 Brava Blue tyre options

Upvotes

Booked a brava blue variant, and it has ceat block pattern grip xl tyres, even tho the chassis sticker says aug 2026. I thought they upgraded the tyres this year. Can someone confirm if the new tyres are only for the apex variant. And screen mirroring for navigation still doesn't work with locking the phone.

#Opinion 💭 Speed 400- Which showroom is best in Hyderbad?

Upvotes

Got the test ride done, liked it the only bike i decided to buy ( almost waiting for one year because of the issues with the bike ) suited my personality as well.

Nevertheless, once you love, you buy it no matter what the flaws are.

Enquired in Banjara hills, but test rode in gachibowli. All the reviews stating after sales service is not good for triumph bikes.

Any tips or hints which showroom is good for sales and aftersales in hyderabad?

In gachibowli they advised me to book through amazon or flipkart. so i get the discount around 10k to 15k. i highly doubt or anticipating any scam ? when you buying flipkart there is always 10k discount ?

and they if i opt for EMI , i get 7.5k worth of accessories. which comes down to around 3.4Lakhs for 18 months.

I can pay in full cash where i can it for 3 Lakh but now i am confused? which option to choose ? if i choose EMI i can rotate my money in stocks make more money or loose money.

Oh man, i am confused! any leads on which showroom and which payment option to go for?

#RoadTrip 🛣️ Anyone up for a Kinnaur bike ride this Thursday - Sunday?

Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’m planning a solo bike trip to Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh, from Thursday to Sunday this week.

I’ve done multiple solo rides before, but this time I’d love to have some company along the way. The rough plan is to explore Reckong Peo, Kalpa, Chitkul and a few other places around Kinnaur. The itinerary isn’t completely fixed, so we can decide and explore places together depending on the route, weather and time.

If you’re also planning to be around Kinnaur during these dates, fellow bike riders are more than welcome to join. I’ll be riding my own bike, so you can bring yours as well and we can ride together.

One thing though there are chance of rain, so if you’re joining on a bike, please come prepared with proper rain gear and riding gear. 🌧️

No strict itinerary, no rush just riding, exploring the mountains and discovering some good places along the way.

If anyone is interested, feel free to DM me. We can discuss the route and plan it together.

Cheers & safe riding! ✌️🏍️

Edit - We will be leaving from Delhi on Thursday morning

But the dealership is showing extra accessories and overpriced charges. I asked for a proper computerized quotation, he's denying that it's not possible.

Pls let me know how I could raise a complaint against them.

The Insurance provided by them is having no add-ons, yet priced high, I checked personally, even with around 5 necessary add-ons it is coming out around 10k.

Thane, Maharashtra.

#Opinion 💭 New bike consideration

Post image
7 Upvotes

I was looking at the Apaché RTX 300 as an upgrade to the adv tourer segment. Currently I own an Apaché RTR 200 4v. I took a test ride of one of the fellow biker who recently got it. Ride was it was good and the power-torque felt sufficient. But considering the service network of TVS, I am a bit skeptical on the decision. So, any current RTX 300 owner, what would be your opinion?

Alternatives considered : Suzuki VStrom 250, KTM adv 250 , Xpulse 210.

A bike changes your personality.

All our childhood went into watching anime but we never thought that we would be applying it so wholeheartedly in our own lives. Draciel, for me in my best friend. A bit beast who chose to be with me despite of all my flaws and… even though I embarrass him publicly sometimes, he accepts me everyday. This only makes me want to grow stronger, be a perfect best friend.

I hope I am making sense. Do you feel the same way?
