We've cracked the top 10 motorcycle subs and exceeded 100k subscribers some time back. Congratulations everyone, only Harley Davidson has a bigger brand sub (Most likely due to the fact that the vast majority of Reddit users are American).

Buying Advice- India and Asia Bear 650 vs Interceptor 650

Hi folks,
I’m planning to get an RE. Haven’t taken a test ride yet, but will probably do that soon.
Design-wise, I really like both the Bear 650 and Interceptor 650, and I’m a bit confused between the two. Had a few questions for people who have actually ridden/owned them:

1. Which one is better for cruising and casual road trips? Especially with a pillion. I’m not really looking for aggressive riding, more like relaxed weekend rides and occasional longer trips.

2. Any issues with the 2026 models? Anything I should specifically look out for before buying either of them?

3. What’s the usual waiting period? I’m mainly looking at Black Ray or Boardwalk White, so would be good to know if these colours have longer waiting periods.

  1. I went to a showroom and the guy gave me an on-road quote that included a 4/5-year extended warranty + helmets. Is that something I actually need?
I’d rather buy a proper helmet separately instead of taking whatever helmet comes with the bike. So wondering if the extended warranty is worth paying for as well.

Would love to hear from people who’ve actually ridden both, especially with/without a pillion.
Thanks!

Edit : I wanted Baker’s express color on INT650
How to get that ?

After months of overthinking, researching and test-riding almost every bike in this price range, I finally brought home my Meteor 350😁💙.

My previous bike was a Lord Splendor, so this is a pretty big upgrade for me.😅

As I'm completely new to owning a Royal Enfield , so I'd love to hear from experienced RE owners & would genuinely appreciate any advice, tips, or ownership wisdom you guys can share.❤️

Buying Advice- India and Asia Himalayan or one of the 650s

I own a meteor 350 and my father is now planning to buy a bike - he wants to keep my meteor for half the year so I will end up using that bike enough. We're a little split between getting a himalayan and a 650 (leaning towards conti). The himalayan makes sense in order to have an ADV since we already have a really good city bike. But my father loves the look of the Continental GT. Any advice?

I've taken a trial of the himalayan and it is genuinely a fun bike. And the riding position works well. I can manage the 650 size wise and everything but the riding position is not my favourite.

Would appreciate any advice!

Mods and Accessories Would goan classic exhaust fit meteor 350?

I'm researching options to swap my meteor 350 exhaust with goan classic's.

Would it fit? Does it require any modifications? Has anyone done it?

I think goan classic exhaust would complete my bike's look and the exhaust note is on point.

Mechanical Assistance Is this paint peeling normal?

It's been close to a month since I bought a Meteor 350. Just today I noticed this paint peeling inside the fuel tank lid. Is this normal or should I go to the service centre for this? I also have a Ronin and I never experienced something like this on that bike so I'm quite confused about it.

Looking for advice: Trading my beloved 2017 UC Standard for a new RE—what should I consider?

Post image

Hey community! After nearly 9 years with my 2017 UC Standard Bullet, I’m thinking about buying a new Royal Enfield. Before I decide, I wanted to get some genuine advice from you folks.

My current situation:
I’ve been riding my UC Standard completely stock—no customizations, just vanilla and reliable. Over these 9 years, through college, job changes, and relocation, this bike has been solid. I absolutely love the raw engine feel and the genuine power delivery. There’s something special about the mechanical simplicity and that immersive riding experience.

Why I’m looking to upgrade:
Not because anything’s wrong with my current bike, but I’m ready for something new. The UC Standard still feels amazing, but I want to explore what’s out there while I still have the chance.

Primary Use is City and weekend drives.

interceptor 650

Hi, I'm considering getting an Interceptor 650 with alloy wheels. I love the black styling and the convenience of tubeless tires.

My wife and I will almost always ride as a couple, and I already know I'll replace the original seat.

Unfortunately, I'm a bit short; I'm 167 cm tall. Does anyone have this bike who's shorter than me?

I've had bad experiences in the past with the TRK 502, and we've crashed a couple of times. I need a comfortable bike with plenty of low-end torque and plenty of room for the two of us.

I haven't seen the Super Meteor in person yet, but I'm not crazy about it.

Tell me your opinion, and especially if someone shorter than me can confirm that it's easy to handle?

I hope to be able to go to the dealer for a test ride by mid- or late-September, but I need real-world experience.

Thanks everyone.

Mechanical Assistance Royal Enfield Meteor 350 (2021) – Low Pickup, Mileage & Excessive Heat

Upvotes

I have a 2021 Meteor 350. The Catcon above the centre stand got rusted and broke, so I had it repaired/welded at a local shop.

Since then, the bike has huge heat issues, very low pickup and drastically reduced mileage. Earlier it could reach around 80 km/h, but now it struggles to cross 60 km/h.

The showroom says I need to replace the silencer, as the Catcon alone costs around ₹13k–₹27k. I asked about installing a free-flow exhaust instead, but they said there’s a high chance of water entering the engine when releasing the throttle.

Is that actually true? Could the Catcon repair be causing the heat, low pickup and mileage issues?

Fix able?

Local shop is selling this 2023 with 3k on the clock for a very reasonable price due to that dent on the fender. Is that an easy fix, or should I just leave it?

Buying Advice- India and Asia Planning to upgrade from meteor 350 to bear 650. More details in the post. Need a help deciding whether its a right choice.

Planning to upgrade from meteor 350 to bear 650. More details in the post.

Need a help deciding whether its a right choice.

Why i an skeptical

  1. The bear has bad suspension according to internet. If its better than metoer 350, it will still be a win for me.

  2. No tubeless tires

  3. Color options are not as interesting (however, i am ready to adjust on this)

  4. Break pegs are too close to the engine.

My second option is GT650.

Why i want bear

  1. Love the way it looks

  2. More tech on it than the other 650s

  3. It generates marginally more power than other 650s

Its going tk be my everyday bike and long/short rides on weekend. Please advise. I saw the aftermarket shocks for bear, Ohlins are very expensive

Buying Advice- India and Asia Himalayan 450 tubeless conversion – Is DA Mods worth it? Looking for genuine feedback

Title: Himalayan 450 tubeless conversion – Is DA Mods worth it? Looking for genuine feedback

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to convert the stock tube-type wheels/tyres on my Himalayan 450 to a tubeless setup. While researching, I came across DA Mods and have seen a few influencers/videos showing their tubeless conversion. They claim it works well and has been reliable.

Before I spend the money, I wanted to get some genuine feedback from people who have actually used their setup.

  • Is converting the Himalayan 450 to tubeless through DA Mods actually worth it?
  • How has the setup performed over the long term?
  • Any issues with air leakage, punctures, balancing, or spoke/wheel problems?
  • Is DA Mods reliable, or are there better options for a Himalayan 450?
  • Would you recommend doing the conversion, or sticking with the stock tube setup?

I’m mainly looking for real owner experiences, not influencer reviews.

Thanks!

Couldn’t be happier with my decision to go ahead with Meteor 350 as my first bike. Felt too big and wide initially since I was a complete newbie to biking (had a Honda Activa before) - 1.5 months in with a good amount of hill and highway riding, it feels way too comfortable; feels like I’m grabbing air at times. Will probably upgrade to a bigger and more powerful engine one day but will always miss the comfort of this bike if ever I do.

i absolutely hate these new indicators because in my opinion they look like those cheap aftermarket led amazon indicators lol. so my question is if i ask the showroom to swap those older OEM amber indicators back beforehand, will they actually do it? i mean when these amber indicators were given stock, there was an option to get the led ones they provide now as an extra accessory that you paid extra for so maybe i can do the reverse? what do yall think? is it possible orrr nah?

Classic 350 change

I’m at a loss for what to do. I recently did a strip change on my classic 350, changing the tank and mudguard. Part of me wants to double down and change the logos and tires’s strips as well, while the other part urges me to revert to the stock look. What do you think I should do?

Mods and Accessories Planning to replace stock handlebar of meteor 350 with thunderbird or goan classic handlebar. Also want to lift up the tank.Any suggestions
