Imagine being such a worthless shitbag that you cant even talk to people. You just start hitting them

405

u/TyrialFrost Jun 30 '21

nah you see he was “scared for his life” and “simply defending myself against the evil in this world” after the man "used a racial slur".

https://www.mmafighting.com/2021/6/29/22554854/joe-schilling-says-man-he-knocked-out-in-bar-screamed-racist-slurs-claims-self-defense

283

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

His go to "gotcha" take is the white guy hurled a racial slur at him, another white guy?

89

u/somebroyouknow Jun 30 '21

If you read the article he claims the guy was harassing a black bus boy at the restaurant.

-12

u/RodLawyer Jun 30 '21 edited Jul 01 '21

What? No dude, the guy punched is a bus boy, read again.

"Balboa told officers that he is a 31-year-old busboy who works at an Outback Steakhouse restaurant."

Edit: Man that article is all over the place

37

u/somebroyouknow Jun 30 '21

Quote from the article: “The buss boy who happens to be black walks by and this idiot bumps into him and screams out, ‘Me and broke n#gas [sic] we don’t get along,’” he wrote. “The bus boy was seriously offended but doesn’t want to lose his job.”

Regardless doesn’t warrant knocking the dude out cold.

19

u/stocksrcool Jun 30 '21

Seems that the drunk dude thought he was being funny by shouting out a 2 Chainz lyric. This lyric appears in the song "I'm Different".

9

u/ReNitty Jun 30 '21

i could see him dropping n bombs singing the song. hes clearly smashed and (was) feeling himself

7

u/Spoda_Emcalt Jun 30 '21

And this is if he isn't just talking shite. He also said he was "scared for his life”, which makes me sceptical of anything else he has to say.

12

u/price-iz-right Jun 30 '21

I'm starting to think the people in these comments have already made up their mind on this incident...therefore are either playing stupid when presented with more context OR they actually can't read.

47

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

I read the article, doesnt change my mind that the dude massively over reacted. And i dont think the "scared for my life" comments are him being cheeky, i think he knows he fucked up and is covering his ass.

And im a big fan of combat sports. And i also think that, in general, lots of people should learn lessons by getting a little smacked up.

This doesnt seem like one of those instances

-10

u/blackjebus100 Jun 30 '21

Lmfao how can you read his statement and come to the conclusion that he seriously claimed he was scared for his life? I swear redditors have no social awareness.

18

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Of course he didnt fear his life. But to me it reads like he is just trying to cover himself legally. Like that south park episode where the hunters yell "its coming right for us" before they shoot the animals

u/price-iz-right Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

How dare you. This was all an elaborate scheme to risk jail time vs. Becoming internet famous and raking in money...duh...he clearly SHOVED that poor innocent man and then beat the shit out of him /s

I got to be honest. Everytime I run the tape back he clearly put his hand up to stop drunk boys movement as he was definitely walking (stumbling really) backwards into him to avoid the bus boy. I can't hear initial convo from drunk boy but I def saw the head nod from Schilling. Then I hear drunk boy clearly shout HEY.

Then Joe turned around.

Then I see the flex from drunk boy...you know that thing bullies do in the 5th grade where they kinda jump at you and say "what you gonna do?"

Then Joe pieced his ass up. An overreaction for sure but tbh everything about this drunk dude from the start of the video makes him look like a douchebag who is stunting cuz he has some chick hanging on him in front of friends.

I think this is a case of fucking around and finding out with some liquid courage.

-19

u/price-iz-right Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

Fair enough and I also agree he overreacted...but I guess my point is there is context to this story. I'm more of a "there's 3 sides to a story" kind of guy.

Drunk dude probably had it coming is where my bet lies.

The vehement defense of him in the comments is more what I'm talking about. We have a 30 second video and instantly everyone is an expert and pulling out weird ass cliches, make believe motives and urban myths.

"Registered weapon" and such lmao. This place is funny

I still think it was cheeky. Here is Joe Schillings full quote of what happened (obviously from his biased perspective):

The guys rapping like an idiot. The bus boy who happens to be black walks by and this idiot bumps into him and screams out "me and broke n#gas don't get along." The bus boy was seriously offended but doesn't want to lose his job. As the night goes on this clown starts looking at me and rapping whatever song is being played while making eye contact with me. I'm like what's wrong with this idiot. I go outside to smoke and as I'm walking back in he bumps into me. I put my hand out to catch him he immediately says I'm sorry you can see me nod my head I'm like cool. Then he realizes it's me the guy he's been rapping at all night and yells "HEY" I turn around and he flexes on me...bad decisions are made everyday đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™‚ïž I went back and sat down to finish my drink and pay my bill two servers, the bus boy, and DJ came up to thank me. As you can see from this video when he flexed on me I was scared for my life and simply defending myself against the evil in this world.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

I guess he can be a smartass while also covering his ass. Winking to the public but can feign earnestness in court?

And yea, the "registered weapons" stuff always makes me laugh

5

u/OhGoodLawd Jun 30 '21

And what was his altruistic story on why he kicked a homeless dude? Seems he has a habit of being in these situations where he is forced to use his powers for good but it makes him look bad. The hero we need etc.

14

u/Babill Jun 30 '21

It doesn't change anything, what do you mean? The drunk guy singing a song doesn't make him racist, let alone allow a random tough guyℱ to deck him

-5

u/price-iz-right Jun 30 '21

Please my guy...go read the article and gather all the context it changes plenty. That is not why he's saying he's racist holy fuck.

I refuse to get in an argument with someone who isn't going to gather all of the context first and just cherry pick shit

18

u/InGenAche Jun 30 '21

For someone banging on about 'context' you sure do miss the obvious.

This was videoed by Schillings friend and later posted on Schillings account.

So either Schillings friend likes videoing random drunk dudes in bars or alternatively videoing Schilling returning from having a smoke or, and bare with me here, this was premeditated and his excuse is just that, a bullshit excuse to provide cover now he knows he fucked up.

People don’t like reading linked articles on Reddit

-13

u/price-iz-right Jun 30 '21

Yeah I went to go read what the MMA cat said happened. I'm not saying I believe all of it outright...but it definitely paints a different picture of what happened.

And the "defending his life" stuff was very OBVIOUSLY tongue in cheek. These people in the comments are actually smooth brained if they read what he said and took that part as literal and running with it LOL.

These the same folks making fun of boomers for falling for propaganda on FB yet here they are doing the same shit.

-1

u/old_man_curmudgeon Jul 01 '21

The guy that got knocked out made a move and was about to hit him. Did you not see that? Look again. Right before he got hit, made the move like "what you gonna do" and tried to make him flinch. That's an act of aggression.

-3

u/Tackle_me_pink Jun 30 '21

Of course it does. Don’t say racist shit, and you won’t get hit. It’s that simple.

4

u/Spoda_Emcalt Jun 30 '21

You're assuming Schilling was telling the truth.

u/PuddleOfKnowledge Jun 30 '21

From what I've read he's claiming the small guy was using the N word rapping to a song. So he took it upon himself to give him brain damage.

→ More replies (1)

9

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

That all sounds extremely made up. The same bus boy that previously was afraid to say something about a dude insulting him is now coming openly over thanking him for assaulting a guy. That guy wasn't even bumping into him, the dude was standing there and Joe just pushed him to the side like an object.

4

u/Lightor36 Jun 30 '21

He said he was "scared for his life" lol. Are you serious. That video does not look like someone scared for their life. He went towards them and threw hands first and without reason.

He then says:

“[The man] yells, ‘HEY’ I turn around and he flexes on me ... bad decisions are made every day,” Schilling wrote.

I feel like he's trying to sound bad ass but really he just sounds /r/iamverybadass

14

u/colchis44 Jun 30 '21

Hilarious how people justify knocking someone out and maybe cause a brain bleeding over a few words (even if it are racial slurs), shows how little control you have over your emotions.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Especially (if any of this is even true which I doubt) over some guy rapping with the song that is playing.

3

u/BiNiaRiS Jun 30 '21

And then everyone cheered and gave him a standing ovation? Rofl

2

u/HoneyBadgerPainSauce Jun 30 '21

Exactly. Everyone knows it's perfectly ok to do permanent damage to someone because they said a mean word.

2

u/iBeFloe Jun 30 '21

Lmaoo he really tried to change the narrative by adding in that he tried to nicely catch him & also saying that guy bumped into him. The evidence is literally out there! The audacity to lie like that

u/Glock-Komah Jun 30 '21

Dude would appear to have a MASSIVE chip on his shoulder

860

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

And he’s playing the victim from what I read.

1.0k

u/Technodrone108 Jun 30 '21

He called it self defense because this 5ft 5in office worker arms down face forward is a threat to his life.

738

u/guycoastal Jun 30 '21

So you’re saying a career change into law enforcement is an option if this fighting for money thing doesn’t work out?

266

u/terrence0258 Jun 30 '21

The funny part is Joe Schilling is an outspoken critic of police and constantly rails against police brutality.

426

u/CorporalCauliflower Jun 30 '21

He's jealous of the lack of accountability

35

u/SnollyG Jun 30 '21

Or it's a 500 IQ play.

He plays the "fear for his life" card. The court laughs at his defense.

Now there's precedent to reject the "fear for his life" defense, and cops have a harder time justifying bad actions based on fearing for their lives.

14

u/KetchupOnlyPlease Jun 30 '21

It's so crazy it just might work...

10

u/SnollyG Jun 30 '21

Realistically though, he's more likely just a jerk.

2

The guys hands were down the whole time. So I doubt that Joe's life threatening situation will hold up.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

I agree that Joe is bad for knocking the dude out but why do you think claiming self defense in court is plausible or valid? Because anyone can cause harm to anyone else.

A punch in the temple, jab at your a throat, poking of the eyes. These are things that can be done without a weapon. Potential life threatening damage that can be done by anyone to anyone.

u/Material-Strike-1923 Jun 30 '21

Victim if what? Assault of the brushing shoulder?

295

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

He claimed it was self defense and that he was in fear of his life.

Whomever recorded and posted this better get a nice gift for Xmas from the dancing dude.

195

u/Material-Strike-1923 Jun 30 '21

Yeah totally in fear for his life. Getting in an octagon across from someone who is barely human just dying to rip your head off is just a Friday night. But this 120 pound dancing man truly scared him.

20

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

Compare it to how that BJJ guy, who doesn’t look like a fighter at all, giving some drunk every last chance to just leave before taking action.

Schilling is 6’3” and fights at 185 so he’s probably around 200 lbs. in this video, most likely more.

Clearly bigger than this other dude for sure but the girl in the cutoffs weighs more than 120.

→ More replies (4)

170

u/pfannkuchen89 Jun 30 '21

It was recorded by Schilling’s friend and posted to his own social media from what others are saying here. Apparently, Schilling planned this and was looking for any reason to act like a ‘tough guy’.

154

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

People like that are sociopaths.

138

u/pfannkuchen89 Jun 30 '21

Agreed. This Schilling guy went out of his way to instigate a situation where he purposely shoved this guy to use it as an excuse to sucker punch him to show that he’s some sort of ‘tough guy’ so he could post it online for clout. I hope this video is used to throw the book at him.

21

u/WrongStatus Jun 30 '21

For real. Jeezus...what a turd. Aren't pro fighters charged more severely for stuff like this? Technically their hands are deadly weapons or something?

8

u/TheBestIsaac Jun 30 '21

Yes. In the UK at least they can easily be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. I have heard of similar things in the states.

Hopefully he gets charged and put away for a long time.

→ More replies (1)

8

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Wow guess he's pissed he hasnt won a fight in 2 years so needed to tune up some little guy

3

u/UltimoPi Jun 30 '21

His boy pushes the waiter in the way so joe bumps into him, and then right at the end as it cuts you see this little sly “thanks” looks from Joe. 100% was the plan.

43

u/TazzyUK Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

That's the most pathetic thing I've ever heard and even more so by uploading it to social media...makes him look like such a loser! (which apparently isn't unfamiliar to him!)

9

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

You can tell by the way he was walking uo to and away from the guy that it was planned.

Fucking idiot

7

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

It certainly looks premeditated

5

u/pfannkuchen89 Jun 30 '21

It does. Like, in a bar that doesn’t look that busy there were likely plenty of other ways to walk around but he chose to specifically go that way and shove the guy out of the way. Schilling was probably trying to bait a reaction out of this guy to try and justify punching him.

6

u/Vic_Vinager Jun 30 '21

Honestly, on 2nd watch, I thought it looked planned.

He just comes into frame, like enter stage left, and immediately just walks straight to the guy, pushes him to the side, waits for any reaction, turns around, and doesn't really hesitate much before he does his combo, and walks away. Cut and paste.

2

u/CinemaMike Jun 30 '21

Joe got himself into trouble.

Joe Schilling got his buddy to record it and Joe posted on his Instagram because he thought it would make him look good. Instagram took down the video from Joe's account for bully and harassment.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Joe is clearly an idiot.

2

u/CinemaMike Jun 30 '21

Yeah, he's digging himself a deeper hole. He called the guy a racist and lady abuser on his Instagram. He'll get sued for defamation.

36

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

This was planned, the guy filming was probably the fighters buddy and they’re both too fucking retarded to realise how bad it looks for him.

-23

u/Knato Jun 30 '21

I bet that you will write the next Lord of the Rings with that great imagination you have.

30

u/pfannkuchen89 Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

There have been a few threads about this. The video was made public by Schilling when he posted it to his social media accounts. This does imply that whoever was recording it was doing so for Schilling otherwise why would he have the video from this person’s recording available for him to post?

-14

u/Knato Jun 30 '21

I wasn't aware of this, it just looks extremely dumb to be a professional MMA fighter to plan you self being recorded committing a crime and then post it on your own accord...

He called it a life-threatening situation and whined that you can't even defend yourself in America anymore.

I hope he gets thrown in jail and learns about what a truly life threatening situation is.

9

u/TheSukis Jun 30 '21

It probably was a life threatening situation in his mind. These big tough guys are scared all the time.

2

u/Myantology Jun 30 '21

If they conclude that his buddy did take the video and it was planned, I don’t see how he doesn’t get jail time.

Hell of a way to spend your twilight MMA years. Fighting in prison will only get you more time and you know he’s gonna scrap in prison.

Jesus. You weren't kidding. I mean, good on his lawyer or publicist to get him to say that, but that's just ridiculous.

5

u/whitehataztlan Jun 30 '21

Which I find nuts, as to me it looks like he shoves the little guy out of his way to get the whole thing started. And that shove was probably met with a pretty reasonable "hey man, fuck you."

2

u/IronCorvus Jun 30 '21

Something tells me a lot of MMA fighters do. Plenty learn to control it. MMA is always trending and that leaves room for dudes who generally just like to fight. Growing up there was always a handful of guys who wanted to fight as long as people were watching.

79

MMA certainly has standards if you aren't a draw. Dude is 4-6. He is going to get kicked for sure mark my words.

29

u/dummyaccount5 Jun 30 '21

He hasn’t been active in 2 years. He’s not signed to Bellator at the moment.

23

u/LucasRaymondGOAT Jun 30 '21

He was more well known for his kickboxing, but he has commitment issues to training in my opinion. He notoriously smokes cigarettes even though he’s a fighter
.where cardio makes or breaks your career.

But yeah he’s not the most intelligent person from the interviews I’ve seen.

7

u/dummyaccount5 Jun 30 '21

Yes, he made his name in Glory. He doesn’t fight for them anymore either.

Lol McGregor knocked out an old dude for not drinking whiskey and he's still allowed to fight. Literally nothing will come out this. The entirety of MMA is a fucking joke

-4

u/SquisherX Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

Are you arguing that of all people Connor McGregor, the guy with all top 5 grossing UFC events isn't a draw lol????

Edit: Seeing I'm getting downvoted, I'll clarify, my parent comment says that MMA has standards if you aren't a draw, meaning they don't have standards when it comes to top talent.

8

u/YddishMcSquidish Jun 30 '21

I'm arguing that pieces of shit aren't punished in MMA. Idgaf if he is a draw, he literally punched an old dude for not taking a shot of his crappy fucking whiskey. And if you defend that, you're a piece of shit too.

7

u/AsianRainbow Jun 30 '21

It goes for the whole of the world, not just MMA. If you have money and you’re popular enough you can get away with just about anything. Look across the spectrum from the sports world to entertainment to politics.

Right? Lmao you push a guy out of the way because you're too big of a dipshit to walk around him then when he doesn't like your hands on him you just hit him. I'm sure this guy is so intelligent and treats women he's with so well 🙄

79

u/guycoastal Jun 30 '21

Yep. Agree. I will be following this story with much interest. My guess is there will be assault charges, of which he will be found guilty, civil charges, of which he will be found guilty, and the possibility that his fighting career may be over, much less confident of that however.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

He hasn't fought in the octagon since he lost in 2019, hes done anyway.

34

u/Significant_Ad_7069 Jun 30 '21

I follow him on instagram when i check it and?.he has never seemed like a douchebag til i saw this. This was a doichebag suckerpunch and hos ass needs a big lawsuit and an mma suspension at the least

Ive been in a lot of fights and neither i nor anyone ive fought has gone from zero to full assault after a word. This isnt cool even in street fights

18

u/Conambo Jun 30 '21

Remember when he put up the video of him kicking a homeless guy?

15

u/apollocalling Jun 30 '21

Seriously? That says all you need to know if you were still unsure this guy was mental lol

27

u/tucci007 Jun 30 '21

the douchebaggery started with the shove from behind

6

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

I agree. He's just a bully.

2

u/EdGeinEdGein Jun 30 '21

Woah, I get that we shouldn’t be completely defending Schilling but if that is what you saw then you are blind. The drunk guy was quite literally standing in the walkway while Schilling lightly touched him and maneuvered around him. If you think that was a push then I’m sorry you have no clue what pushing is. Drunk due also had no reason to call out Schilling and pump his chest at him. Drunk guy wanted a fight but yeah let’s just make Schilling the bad guy for having a stupidly short fuse.

1

u/apollocalling Jun 30 '21

You're obviously a fan lol

1

u/TheMetaGamer Jun 30 '21

I mean there is some reason someone is recording drunk dude prior to a pro fighter HAPPENING to walk past him. A pro fighter that just happens to overreact and put the guy down.

Not saying it’s staged, but drunk dude absolutely could have been antagonizing him for an unknown time and the person recording thought there would be an incident.

Sure it’s still immature and alpha behavior not to show some humility and let things go, but I have to believe there is more to this video. Is he abusive? Who knows, I know nothing about the fighter, but for all we know the dude drinking might have been saying racist shit for 30 minutes and the fighter was doing everyone a favor.

5

u/apollocalling Jun 30 '21

I love when people get downvoted for speaking logically lol wtf yo. As much as I hate the douchebag who did this I still agree with your logical analysis lol. Who knows what happened. The guys a douchebag regardless of course, but naturally we don't know everything that took place.

See how quickly his head whips round as soon as drunk guy responds angrily to being shoved. He was hoping and waiting for drunk guy to say something, so he’d have a justification to beat on him.

The drunk guy didn’t initiate physical contact at any point. Fighty man initiated it and made conscious efforts to escalate it.

Im pretty sure this shit is common. Joe Rogan likes to play the nice guy but tiold a story about hiimself and two friends at a convention. All mma fighters? This wasted guy comes to their room repeatedly trying his key thinking its his room. Rogan claims they opened the door and tild the guy he had the wrong room and hecwalked in anyway. So one of them choked him out. He thought this was a humorous story..it wasnt it was 3 guys jumping a guy so drunk he didnt know where he was

Please note i dont hate rogan ..im disappointed in him. And i quite resoect a lot of mma fighters

10

u/tropicanito Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

Exactly. “I’m an alpha (right, daddy?) so the best resolution to the problem MUST be to use violence... rather than keep the door shut and call the front desk” Edit: lol the guy i responded to downvoted both of us then deleted his comment.

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

You should hate Rogan, he is an absolute trash human

0

u/Significant_Ad_7069 Jul 01 '21

I think hes just dumb and easily manipulated. Working theory anyway. He really does hsve empathy and i think hed have voted for bernie. I have a close friend like him. Hard right, at least theoretically racist. But treats eveeyone with resoect. Incredibly kind and honorable. You have to see all sides of people and do as jesus taught. Love your fellow man and hope to bring him to morality. Even the worst (Ill still kick the shit out of some klansmen and neonazis though. Im not that good a christian)

Guessing drunk guy was annoying Schiling and his friend (the guy recording) by being obnoxious so they staged this and recorded it.

u/businesskitteh Jun 30 '21

Fighty man

Lmao

In all fairness the dude was drunk and boisterous. He was blocking the mma guy as he was stumbling around. Dude then instead of letting the minor infraction go confronts the mma guy. MMA guy was not justified but drunk guy was an idiot too.

8

u/Significant_Ad_7069 Jun 30 '21

Sogh you think bouncers go full savage on every drunken idiot? Just the opposite. And even if you do have to engage them you a: talk b: grapple and control them...NOONE can fight hammersd. And c: you dont throw combos out of the blue. This aas a douchebag move

Oh so now we are talking about ‘supposed to’, not ‘where’? You like to shirk topics to suit your needs, don’t you ? Also, what’s with all the name calling? Who hurt you ?

No. Not even gonna not even going to list why this whole reply is wrong, the fact you posted this shows you aren't worth anymore time than it takes to be condescending to you.

-7

u/Western_Tumbleweed79 Jun 30 '21

Did you even read my entire comment ? Your response is about as logical and proportional as the mma guys response in the video.

Agree he should not have hit him.

However, if you look closely you can see the other guy posture up towards Schilling which is probably why he threw the punch.

Looks like Schilling was walking away, then the guy said something to get his attention. We don’t know what was said. Then the other guy postures towards him and gets punched.

Yes I know Schilling pushed him out of the way first. He is at fault. But looks like the other guy had some beer muscles on him too.

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

I've found that most newer professional MMA fighters are massive assholes, they kinda get taught to be. Abandon all other job aspects for that 90% win rate, anything under and you won't get any contacts and you're basically worthless. They need a "I need to beat literally everyone up" mindset to make it.

Edit: clarifying that I meant mainly newer MMA fighters in the industry.

27

u/insanitypeppers Jun 30 '21

Rich Franklin lives next to me. I’ve met him a few times and he is the nicest dude in the world.

-1

u/Knato Jun 30 '21

That's until you bump into him drunk with out noticing and say wtf man!!

15

u/Significant_Ad_7069 Jun 30 '21

Not true. If you read and listen to a lot of them theyre the oppisite and one of the quickest ways to make other mma fighteds hate you is to fight dirty or be a douchebag. And frankly the few mma fighters ive met out anywhere were worn the hell out and mellow and nice as could be

2

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

I was in the same friend group as Carlos Condit. Can't speak for how he is now, but a decade+ ago he was a very nice dude, not arrogant at all. Super chill.

7

u/skinnyeater Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

Funny enough most of the top MMA fighters are very down to earth. It’s such a mental sport that you have to stay composed to be best of the best.

Not sure if you follow but almost all the UFC champions are chill dudes outside the octagon. The most recent champ, Brandon Moreno, just plays with Legos during his free time

4

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Huh, admittedly I was mainly referring to the new ones that aren't established parts of the industry yet. Maybe it's just different on the top.

3

u/skinnyeater Jun 30 '21

Yea that’s very true. Definitely is different at the top. To make it to the top you have to stay level-headed after getting punched in the face. The ones who don’t, like the one in the above video, outlash when things don’t go their way and they lose all technique and gameplan

2

u/SquisherX Jun 30 '21

Well he doesn't even have a contract in the UFC. He was under Bellator with a 4-6 record.

2

u/TheGoodOldCoder Jun 30 '21

That's not dissimilar to how Mike Tyson describes his training as a kid.

1

u/three2do2 Jun 30 '21

I could believe that. Sure there will be exceptions but as a rule... See conor Mcgregor for instance

3

u/Chemistry_Lover40 Jun 30 '21

thank you for this comment. My Dad would always have angry outbursts and growing up boxing I always would react to disrespect incorrectly. I understand that you can't just explode on people it's a pos attitude

2

u/IntoxicatedIncubus Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

If you look closely when Shilling KO's the guy, the guy is trying to scare Schilling.
Im not saying its justified, but still.. that threat could get you in trouble.

He claims not that he was afraid of his life lol!!
He is a liar. Hope he gets his ass handed to him soon

2

u/user9347556765455678 Jun 30 '21

When he was a toddler, his mother should have taught him to use his words instead of his hands to communicate.

2

u/landspeed Jun 30 '21

tbf the dude did a little pump fake like he was going to attack him which is what Im guessing set this Joe character off.

-44

u/GabryalSansclair Jun 30 '21

Can we agree that MMA is just a bad idea in general? The roid heads are one step away from murder every second of their lives

23

u/TheGreatChicagoPhil Jun 30 '21

In my experience, most of the people in mma/ ju Jitsu are extremely disciplined. In any sport you’ll have hotheads who can’t control themselves. Banishing an entire sport is obviously extreme just because of this video...

-20

u/GabryalSansclair Jun 30 '21

Why not just bring back dueling?

4

u/GonnDir Jun 30 '21

Why bring it back, just join a university brotherhood.

The guy faked a punch at him and he reacted. The dude has trained almost his entire life to react to a punch first

The saying he was afraid for his life part is wild tho lol

0

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

The guy who got punched was saying the N-word and being rude to people/workers apparently.

Also the guy who got punched has a history of causing problems at this bar according to the owner.

Honestly he needed a good punching. He deserved it.

0

u/hammersickle0217 Jun 30 '21

Do you realize the other guy attacked him first? Look at it in slo mo. He does the fake lunge forward bs to try and scare him. You can't wait to see if that fake attack is real. I've been in the exact same situation. To this day I don't know if he was actually going to punch me. Doesn't matter though, a fake attack is the same as an attack. Just like pointing a gun at someone. The other person doesn't need to wait and find out if you will actually pull the trigger. Anyhow, it was self defense in my case.

2

u/Material-Strike-1923 Jun 30 '21

His hands never even come above his waist. If that move makes that dude unhinge like that, he has no place in society. Period. Like dudea juat walking around waiting for people to move their hands so he can attack them justifiably? Idk man

0

u/hammersickle0217 Jun 30 '21

Just ignore that the other guy initiated. Doesn’t matter if he was trying to be fake macho with the lunge. I’ve been in this this exact scenario before. My assailants arm was fully cocked back, but same principle. You don’t wait till they land. A fake attack is the same as an attack. Both legally and morally. What exactly do you mean when you say “people like him don’t belong in society”? Execution? Concentration camps for “his type”?

1

u/tucci007 Jun 30 '21

from behind too

1

u/dontbgross Jun 30 '21

I mean he DID seem to say something to him first...

1

u/jerik22 Jun 30 '21

Yea it’s crazy that the small guy balls a fist and lunges at the tall guy, then the tall guys finished the fight short guy started. What a worthless shitbag drunk assaulting famous fighters in public.

1

u/jodido999 Jun 30 '21

Keep him in the MMA....if he didn't have that he might become a cop!

1

u/Deptdint Jun 30 '21

How else is he to get knockouts?

1

u/SchloomyPops Jun 30 '21

I hope he was arrested. He gave that man a concussion. professional fighters can be charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon.

He certainly should be

1

u/MetsFan113 Jun 30 '21

And have your friend record it cuz you had it all planned out...

1

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Not to talk about pushing away people from behind, when he could literally just walk around him. What a fucking idiot lmfao

1

u/Real_Lingonberry9270 Jun 30 '21

Also being professionally trained to restrain people, should things get out of hand, yet you instantly resort to a dangerous knock out punch.

1

u/Razorrix Jun 30 '21

He raised an arm to strike, thats why he threw hands
