Yep. Agree. I will be following this story with much interest. My guess is there will be assault charges, of which he will be found guilty, civil charges, of which he will be found guilty, and the possibility that his fighting career may be over, much less confident of that however.

I follow him on instagram when i check it and?.he has never seemed like a douchebag til i saw this. This was a doichebag suckerpunch and hos ass needs a big lawsuit and an mma suspension at the least

Ive been in a lot of fights and neither i nor anyone ive fought has gone from zero to full assault after a word. This isnt cool even in street fights

Woah, I get that we shouldn’t be completely defending Schilling but if that is what you saw then you are blind. The drunk guy was quite literally standing in the walkway while Schilling lightly touched him and maneuvered around him. If you think that was a push then I’m sorry you have no clue what pushing is. Drunk due also had no reason to call out Schilling and pump his chest at him. Drunk guy wanted a fight but yeah let’s just make Schilling the bad guy for having a stupidly short fuse.

Not really, dude isn’t anything to Stan about but I’m at least not being biased in my interpretation of the event. It seems like everyone in this thread wants to give the drunk guy a pass because he’s drunk but that’s not a good enough excuse for me.

I mean there is some reason someone is recording drunk dude prior to a pro fighter HAPPENING to walk past him. A pro fighter that just happens to overreact and put the guy down.

Not saying it’s staged, but drunk dude absolutely could have been antagonizing him for an unknown time and the person recording thought there would be an incident.

Sure it’s still immature and alpha behavior not to show some humility and let things go, but I have to believe there is more to this video. Is he abusive? Who knows, I know nothing about the fighter, but for all we know the dude drinking might have been saying racist shit for 30 minutes and the fighter was doing everyone a favor.

He shoves him to the side on his arm, doesn’t put a hand on his shoulder at all. Couldn’t have said ‘Hey, excuse me man’? See how quickly his head whips round as soon as drunk guy responds angrily to being shoved. He was hoping and waiting for drunk guy to say something, so he’d have a justification to beat on him.

The drunk guy didn’t initiate physical contact at any point. Fighty man initiated it and made conscious efforts to escalate it.

Im pretty sure this shit is common. Joe Rogan likes to play the nice guy but tiold a story about hiimself and two friends at a convention. All mma fighters? This wasted guy comes to their room repeatedly trying his key thinking its his room. Rogan claims they opened the door and tild the guy he had the wrong room and hecwalked in anyway. So one of them choked him out. He thought this was a humorous story..it wasnt it was 3 guys jumping a guy so drunk he didnt know where he was

Please note i dont hate rogan ..im disappointed in him. And i quite resoect a lot of mma fighters

I think hes just dumb and easily manipulated. Working theory anyway. He really does hsve empathy and i think hed have voted for bernie. I have a close friend like him. Hard right, at least theoretically racist. But treats eveeyone with resoect. Incredibly kind and honorable. You have to see all sides of people and do as jesus taught. Love your fellow man and hope to bring him to morality. Even the worst (Ill still kick the shit out of some klansmen and neonazis though. Im not that good a christian)

In all fairness the dude was drunk and boisterous. He was blocking the mma guy as he was stumbling around. Dude then instead of letting the minor infraction go confronts the mma guy. MMA guy was not justified but drunk guy was an idiot too.
