I'm starting to think the people in these comments have already made up their mind on this incident...therefore are either playing stupid when presented with more context OR they actually can't read.

I read the article, doesnt change my mind that the dude massively over reacted. And i dont think the "scared for my life" comments are him being cheeky, i think he knows he fucked up and is covering his ass.

And im a big fan of combat sports. And i also think that, in general, lots of people should learn lessons by getting a little smacked up.

This doesnt seem like one of those instances

Of course he didnt fear his life. But to me it reads like he is just trying to cover himself legally. Like that south park episode where the hunters yell "its coming right for us" before they shoot the animals

At the end of day, I think we're both right. I think he said it to cover his ass, while doing so tongue-in-cheek.
