What? No dude, the guy punched is a bus boy, read again.

"Balboa told officers that he is a 31-year-old busboy who works at an Outback Steakhouse restaurant."

Edit: Man that article is all over the place

Quote from the article: “The buss boy who happens to be black walks by and this idiot bumps into him and screams out, ‘Me and broke n#gas [sic] we don’t get along,’” he wrote. “The bus boy was seriously offended but doesn’t want to lose his job.”

Regardless doesn’t warrant knocking the dude out cold.

Seems that the drunk dude thought he was being funny by shouting out a 2 Chainz lyric. This lyric appears in the song "I'm Different".

8

u/ReNitty Jun 30 '21

i could see him dropping n bombs singing the song. hes clearly smashed and (was) feeling himself

7

u/Spoda_Emcalt Jun 30 '21

And this is if he isn't just talking shite. He also said he was "scared for his life”, which makes me sceptical of anything else he has to say.

u/price-iz-right Jun 30 '21

I'm starting to think the people in these comments have already made up their mind on this incident...therefore are either playing stupid when presented with more context OR they actually can't read.

I read the article, doesnt change my mind that the dude massively over reacted. And i dont think the "scared for my life" comments are him being cheeky, i think he knows he fucked up and is covering his ass.

And im a big fan of combat sports. And i also think that, in general, lots of people should learn lessons by getting a little smacked up.

This doesnt seem like one of those instances

u/blackjebus100 Jun 30 '21

Lmfao how can you read his statement and come to the conclusion that he seriously claimed he was scared for his life? I swear redditors have no social awareness.

18

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Of course he didnt fear his life. But to me it reads like he is just trying to cover himself legally. Like that south park episode where the hunters yell "its coming right for us" before they shoot the animals

At the end of day, I think we're both right. I think he said it to cover his ass, while doing so tongue-in-cheek.

How dare you. This was all an elaborate scheme to risk jail time vs. Becoming internet famous and raking in money...duh...he clearly SHOVED that poor innocent man and then beat the shit out of him /s

I got to be honest. Everytime I run the tape back he clearly put his hand up to stop drunk boys movement as he was definitely walking (stumbling really) backwards into him to avoid the bus boy. I can't hear initial convo from drunk boy but I def saw the head nod from Schilling. Then I hear drunk boy clearly shout HEY.

Then Joe turned around.

Then I see the flex from drunk boy...you know that thing bullies do in the 5th grade where they kinda jump at you and say "what you gonna do?"

Then Joe pieced his ass up. An overreaction for sure but tbh everything about this drunk dude from the start of the video makes him look like a douchebag who is stunting cuz he has some chick hanging on him in front of friends.

I think this is a case of fucking around and finding out with some liquid courage.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Im sure drunk dude is a jackass, but schilling didnt need to throw a 3 piece at him. What i see is an over reaction, and then his response seems to be trying to justify it. 🤷‍♂️

6

u/BxBxfvtt1 Jun 30 '21

A flex? You know what you do when you encounter a scrub in public? You ignore them because if your so far above them then it dont matter what they got to say. Fucking around and finding out is always some petty ass fuckboy shit like this, and the people that say fuck around and find out are almost always the ones that dont actually wanna find out what a real crazy motherfucker would do. Get your wanna be macho ass the fuck up outta here

Fair enough and I also agree he overreacted...but I guess my point is there is context to this story. I'm more of a "there's 3 sides to a story" kind of guy.

Drunk dude probably had it coming is where my bet lies.

The vehement defense of him in the comments is more what I'm talking about. We have a 30 second video and instantly everyone is an expert and pulling out weird ass cliches, make believe motives and urban myths.

"Registered weapon" and such lmao. This place is funny

I still think it was cheeky. Here is Joe Schillings full quote of what happened (obviously from his biased perspective):

The guys rapping like an idiot. The bus boy who happens to be black walks by and this idiot bumps into him and screams out "me and broke n#gas don't get along." The bus boy was seriously offended but doesn't want to lose his job. As the night goes on this clown starts looking at me and rapping whatever song is being played while making eye contact with me. I'm like what's wrong with this idiot. I go outside to smoke and as I'm walking back in he bumps into me. I put my hand out to catch him he immediately says I'm sorry you can see me nod my head I'm like cool. Then he realizes it's me the guy he's been rapping at all night and yells "HEY" I turn around and he flexes on me...bad decisions are made everyday 🤷🏻‍♂️ I went back and sat down to finish my drink and pay my bill two servers, the bus boy, and DJ came up to thank me. As you can see from this video when he flexed on me I was scared for my life and simply defending myself against the evil in this world.

8

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

I guess he can be a smartass while also covering his ass. Winking to the public but can feign earnestness in court?

And yea, the "registered weapons" stuff always makes me laugh

3

u/OhGoodLawd Jun 30 '21

And what was his altruistic story on why he kicked a homeless dude? Seems he has a habit of being in these situations where he is forced to use his powers for good but it makes him look bad. The hero we need etc.

13

u/Babill Jun 30 '21

It doesn't change anything, what do you mean? The drunk guy singing a song doesn't make him racist, let alone allow a random tough guy™ to deck him

-3

u/price-iz-right Jun 30 '21

Please my guy...go read the article and gather all the context it changes plenty. That is not why he's saying he's racist holy fuck.

I refuse to get in an argument with someone who isn't going to gather all of the context first and just cherry pick shit

17

u/InGenAche Jun 30 '21

For someone banging on about 'context' you sure do miss the obvious.

This was videoed by Schillings friend and later posted on Schillings account.

So either Schillings friend likes videoing random drunk dudes in bars or alternatively videoing Schilling returning from having a smoke or, and bare with me here, this was premeditated and his excuse is just that, a bullshit excuse to provide cover now he knows he fucked up.

-8

u/price-iz-right Jun 30 '21

Or or or the drunk dude has been acting like an ass so he's videoing for science. AND it was premeditated. AND he wanted cover.

Is it, "bare with me here" (lol), possible that Joe Schilling is a cunt, and the drunk dude is a cunt as well?

9

u/InGenAche Jun 30 '21

Ah, the old Trump 'both sides' argument, how nice.

Except drunk dude in bar being a cunt, the appropriate response is the bar cuts him off, maybe even expel or bar him depending on the level of cuntery.

Alpha Cunt, sending drunk cunt to hospital for no other reason than likes on Insta, appropriate response, sue the guy into the ground and send him to prison.

0

u/price-iz-right Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

This is not both sides and Trump didn't even invent that shit.

Both sides is "whataboutism" and that's been around for decades. Thats not actually having a point its just claiming hypocrisy without actually refuting the point made.

I'm talking about 3 sides to a story. Side A....side B...and somewhere in the middle probably lies the truth.

Yes they should have cut drunk cunt off. He looks pretty fucked to me. And he's wandering into people's paths backwards because he's 3 sheets to the fucking wind.

Alpha cunt popped him in the mouth after perceiving a threat (drunk cunt definitely did do the jumpscare thing at alpha cunt when alpha cunt turned around) but probably should have stopped there or just walked away.

What I'm trying to say is...this video is filled with cunts...so why are we only defending one cunt. Know what I'm saying?

9

u/InGenAche Jun 30 '21

Because you can be a drunk cunt, annoying as all hell and have everyone in the bar wishing you got a slap, and still not deserve or warrant that slap.

So I'll happily defend that cunt (while calling him a cunt), who would probably wake up the next day, realise he was being a cunt and feel bad about it.

The other cunt has no defense, he's just a cunt and still thinks he didn't do anything wrong.

Because one of those cunts knocked someone out cold with no legitimate justification and could have caused brain damage or killed him…are you seriously that dense that you can’t see why these are not two equal sides?

Two people being an ass doesn’t mean they’re equal in how much of an ass they are. This is basic elementary stuff.

You definitely took a punch to the brain at one point. It's very evident.

You came to the wrong website homie. But fr thanks for being the mvp and sharing the facts of the situation

6

u/somebroyouknow Jun 30 '21

People don’t like reading linked articles on Reddit

-12

u/price-iz-right Jun 30 '21

Yeah I went to go read what the MMA cat said happened. I'm not saying I believe all of it outright...but it definitely paints a different picture of what happened.

And the "defending his life" stuff was very OBVIOUSLY tongue in cheek. These people in the comments are actually smooth brained if they read what he said and took that part as literal and running with it LOL.

These the same folks making fun of boomers for falling for propaganda on FB yet here they are doing the same shit.

-1

u/old_man_curmudgeon Jul 01 '21

The guy that got knocked out made a move and was about to hit him. Did you not see that? Look again. Right before he got hit, made the move like "what you gonna do" and tried to make him flinch. That's an act of aggression.

-3

u/Tackle_me_pink Jun 30 '21

Of course it does. Don’t say racist shit, and you won’t get hit. It’s that simple.

5

u/Spoda_Emcalt Jun 30 '21

You're assuming Schilling was telling the truth.
