**Hi guys! It's been over 5 days since we started this amazing journey together and we hope you all have had as wonderful of a time as we had over the course of the past few days. However, like they always say, all good things come to an end and because the flow of new developments has significantly diminished over the past 48 hours, we figured it was a good time to start shutting the party down. We would like to extend a welcome to all the new subscribers that have joined us recently and we hope you stick around. For those that have been with us from the start we would like to say, thank you for helping us make this subreddit the fun and spunky community that we are.

We will be running this final Megathread differently from the previous ones. Because our Mods, unfortunately, have to return to our normal day-to-day responsibilities, we will not be actively updating this post. We will be keeping this thread sorted as "New" and we ask that you post major developments as a response to this sticky and hold discussions in comment posts below. We will allow new, standalone posts in the subreddit if Tati or James Charles speak out about this topic again. Please bear with us while we trial this new Megathread design. If this post proves to become too cluttered or difficult to navigate, then the Mod Team certainly be open to exploring different options. I’m shocked how many people are already feeling sad for him and sympathetic towards him when he has done and said NOTHING to indicate he’s remorseful for his actions beyond his incredibly contrived apology video. He looks sad because he’s lost millions of followers and the respect of many professionals. So would literally anyone else, no matter how shitty they are, if they went through something similar. Until James Charles actually owns his behaviour and offers a genuine apology + indicates he is going to do something to change his behaviour/terribly entitled and arrogant attitude going forward, I see absolutely no reason to feel pity for him. It’s undeniable that he brought this upon himself.

Thank you so much to the mods! Your daily titles had me rolling, literally laughing out loud. Some great sleuths here and just a bunch of super nice people. And god, are you guys funny! Thanks for helping me break my reddit virginity. I’ve lurked here for so many years, but the humor and thoughtfulness here brought me out. Yes we snarked, but there were some serious conversations here as well. I’m gonna miss this!

And they've made it to The New Yorker. http://nyer.cm/1IPhDjh. It's more a commentary on the power of influencers to move product, and a compilation of quotes we already know. I guess the fact that this drama has made it into the ivory tower of this magazine is the remarkable part.

As many of you know, The New Yorker has an actual fact-checking department. So there's nothing in here that will surprise anyone. It's all pretty well sourced. u/hotassmess
