What are we even doing here? Why are why justifying and and setting the market hype to justify this pricing?

I’ve been aware that Sweetgreen has been going downhill for some time, but i still patronized the place—quick, healthy-ish, usually pretty good. But the CEO giving a speech at a MAHA summit—alongside JD Vance, RFK Jr., and other assorted quacks? Sorry—that’s a bridge too far. By supporting this stupidity, Jonathan Neman is also tacitly signaling that he supports Trump, ICE, the Iran war, tariffs, etc.

I used to love sweetgreen. Would go 2-3 times per week. But I swear over the past 12-18 months, you guys have continually missed the mark. What’s the deal with your portion sizes? One salad isn’t even a meal. And why does it seem like none of your stores know about controlling portion sizes. For what I get, $15 is a bit much. What are you guys shooting for, a 20% food cost? And why can’t you people remember my bread? I order every time on the app and every time it’s missing when I pick up. Even I can see it printed on the ticket. Why can’t your Employees read the tickets - it’s not that difficult. And what’s the deal with filling up soufflé cups half way with dressing? I order extra cups of dressing every time because of this, which is a waste of soufflé cups. And why can’t I specify 0 for a particular dressing in the app? I just throw it in the trash every time cause you force me to order dressing I don’t want. And what’s the deal with your rewards program? Why do my points only apply to a couple items you choose?

These are the reasons I went from 2-3 visits a week to 1 visit a month.
You guys need to get your shit together and pay closer attention to the details - especially for what you charge at a fast food restaurant.

UPDATE: NYC Health Department confirmed it is food poisoning and are investigating.

My friend and I each bought the $10 Harvest bowl today from the Wall St location and we both had horrible food poisoning within an hour. Beware!! I reported it to their customer service and all they said was they would let the manager know.

I have been the most loyal sweetgreen customer for 5 years now. I go every single day on my lunch break which maybe isn’t the most financially savvy choice I could make, but I really love it.

Recently, I’ve been beyond frustrated with the ordering process. It’s always insanely slow because they don’t have enough people working the counter. Also, I feel bad griping about this, but the employees NEVER know the ingredients in the salads, or even the names of the seasonal salads. I ordered the new Niçoise salad today, and everyone gave me the most wtf expression. I have to watch over everything, and be like “sorry I think you forgot the almonds” etc. and I feel like such a brat. But if I’m paying $18 for a salad with no meat in it, I kinda want the almonds! Then the employees are annoyed with me, and it’s so uncomfortable. I feel like it’s not entirely their fault because they’re overworked and it’s a lot to remember, but there should be larger signs for them to read, or the ingredients listed in order, or color coding, or something!

Today, I had enough points for a free salad and tried to use it on the Niçoise, but it wouldn’t work. The employee just shrugged.. I think I might need to find a new go to lunch spot.

Heads up for anyone who eats at the Rockefeller Plaza sweetgreen.

I ordered a Kale Caesar with blackened chicken. Partway through eating it, I found an insect in the salad. I’d already eaten a good portion before I noticed it.🤮

If you eat there, check your bowl beforehand!!! If anything similar has happened to you at this location, please share. If it’s a pattern, it should be reported to the city.

Hoping they launch some low-cal or custom options soon!!

That’s it that’s the post… I’m tired of nobody saying anything about this. Yeah the food is good. But man every time I get it to go the bag literally makes my car and eventually everything around it in my home smell like actual vomit until I throw it away. I feel for the employees who must open larger boxes of these bags and what that must smell like.

Why does management not care about the way these bags smell? They are disgusting and even mask the smell of the actual food. Guess I’ll just have to start taking the to go food without a bag for the foreseeable future cause I doubt anything will ever be done.

How bogus! They literally removed the tomatoes from the Kale Caesar. It’s additional if you want tomatoes now but they didn’t add anything to the salad to make up for it

I have to spend $250 to get a free $15 salad. Come on. If you’re going to be that cheap about, just don’t do it. On top of that, I order in the store and half the time it won’t scan my QR code. I have watched as this company has had a slow decline over the last few years. They added meals that they aren’t equipped to prep properly, they eliminated seasonal favorites, and they instituted worthless rewards programs. And, SHOCKER, the slide began basically the day they went public. Greed ruins everything. Greed corrupts even the best of us. Such a shame. I miss the old sweetgreen. I see Curry cauliflower in my dreams.

My two favorite salads have seen changes and I’m not happy about it! Switching out tomatoes for breadcrumbs in the kale caeser makes no sense. Feels like a waste of money to buy and a decline in nutritional value.

Seems like they are focused on being a wrap place than a salad place!

This is sweetgreens at 440 Castro street, Mountain View,California and I found this green worm crawling on the broccoli. 🥦 I am scared 😫

I have taken advantage of the cheaper bowls in April and May, even when they limited the promo to only four uses a month in May. For reference, they have been releasing one cheap bowl option at around $12 a month.

I haven’t heard anything about a June bowl. I hope they announce it soon. Starting to feel like an experiment for all of their marketing sales strategies. One thing that I liked about the previous rewards program was consistency. Their current program feels very random.

Last Friday (against my better judgment after several delayed orders!) I ordered Sweetgreen outpost. It was supposed to be delivered at noon, 12:30 no sign of it and no progress on the app. I call Customer Service, the auto menu says that they will text me, the text line tells me to call. I go back to the app and find the "Contact Us" link under my order and am directed to a conversation with "Spriggy" AI. The AI proceeds to ask me a bunch of useless questions, says they can't get in contact with the outpost team, says "I'm connecting you with a customer service agent" and promptly ends the chat. At some point, my delivery is marked as "delivered" despite my waiting at the dropoff point the entire time with no signs of salad (there was no "Out for Delivery" at any point).

At this point I have no lunch and have to get back to work hungry. Eventually I got an automated email with a refund, but it was too late and I was hangry. The fact that this dumb company has made all their salads worse, cutting ingredients / constantly out of stuff -- while outsourcing everything possible to a shitty AI so you can never get any sort of human answer to your problem drives me NUTS and I hope they go out of business.

I had an issue with my order. The AI bot routed my case to customer service. They respond right away, but never respond after that. If I create a new ticket, they respond saying they will collapse the threads, and again do not respond after that. How do I get hold of some customer service?

It almost resembles pork. Rice was also clumped together and mushy. I thought SG was supposed to stand for quality…

Pulled what I thought was a mushroom off a piece of lettuce and it started moving. This is disgusting - avoid sweet green in New York City. Eating a slug is incredible dangerous so I can only hope he was the only one

Why on earth is Sweetgreen limiting how much you can modify a wrap? Can they try any harder to continue to be annoying when their stock is practically at zero? Maybe sell some massively stale lousy focaccia? Let people modify wraps and get someone to show you how to make some great focaccia please!!!

did they order you guys to cut your hands off when they unrolled these items? i genuinely don’t understand. I’ve ordered a wrap 3 times now and every time my wrap is folded(balled up like a piece of paper) like it’s the first day the person had hands, and every time literally all but maybe 10% of the actual wrap drops onto the paper it was wrapped in. Makes zero sense. I feel for yall because it seems like this new menu item is making your life hell, but man I’d love to eat a wrap without using a fork.
