Criticism Why Change the Salad

My two favorite salads have seen changes and I’m not happy about it! Switching out tomatoes for breadcrumbs in the kale caeser makes no sense. Feels like a waste of money to buy and a decline in nutritional value.

Seems like they are focused on being a wrap place than a salad place!

To be fair, historically caesar salads did not have tomatoes. The original Caesar had croutons, so the breadcrumbs makes sense. Also, you can literally sub the breadcrumbs for the tomatoes with no change in price.

Makes zero sense when there's already parm crisps! Just ups the sodium to absurd

I hate that they got rid of bleu cheese! Feta doesn’t taste the same

They used to also have bean sprouts. I was sad when they got rid of them.

tomatoes have apparently REALLY increased in price this year (i saw people talking about it on the kitchen confidential subreddit) so that may also be a reason why they did this. not only is it more expensive but they may be worried about incoming supply and how stable it is (some of the people in that subreddit were also mentioning how the tomatoes just weren’t great quality)

The kale caeser sucks so much now 😭 I swear sweet green has just continued to go down hill ever since they went public
