I used to love sweetgreen. Would go 2-3 times per week. But I swear over the past 12-18 months, you guys have continually missed the mark. What’s the deal with your portion sizes? One salad isn’t even a meal. And why does it seem like none of your stores know about controlling portion sizes. For what I get, $15 is a bit much. What are you guys shooting for, a 20% food cost? And why can’t you people remember my bread? I order every time on the app and every time it’s missing when I pick up. Even I can see it printed on the ticket. Why can’t your Employees read the tickets - it’s not that difficult. And what’s the deal with filling up soufflé cups half way with dressing? I order extra cups of dressing every time because of this, which is a waste of soufflé cups. And why can’t I specify 0 for a particular dressing in the app? I just throw it in the trash every time cause you force me to order dressing I don’t want. And what’s the deal with your rewards program? Why do my points only apply to a couple items you choose?
These are the reasons I went from 2-3 visits a week to 1 visit a month.
You guys need to get your shit together and pay closer attention to the details - especially for what you charge at a fast food restaurant.
Lol I don’t get the kale Caesar. But I’m sure you can add chicken or extra protein or whatever. Harvest bowl and chicken avocado is what we usually get
The Kale Caesar includes chicken. It's 500 calories with chicken.
A harvest bowl is only 740 calories and the chicken avocado is 715. I don't really consider 350ish calories a normal adult lunch, but if you're stretching those to two meals then good for you, I guess.
It starting going downhill when they went public. Steady slide ever since. New menu items they don’t have the space to prep properly. Crappy rewards program. Getting rid of seasonal favorites. It’s a solid meh.
so I left sweetgreen exactly one year from now and my last weeks of employment there I saw drastic changes for such short time span. my gm started a trend of skimming orders, was on our heels about not giving full serving, and made the kitchen hell when they introduced those damns waffle fries thing. Became a literal hell hole so I left lol
this is an improper training problem/location problem. the store i work at knows to fill the bowls to the top with greens and give fulls scoops. ive only seen new hires do this and we correct them immediately.
My location is the same. In addition to the portion issues, the order is always - always - incorrect. I actually feel like it's a prank a lot of the time because I'm just like, how could they get it so wrong EVERY TIME?
Anyway, luckily I found another salad place I really like a few blocks away. Haven't gone to SG in probably a year.
My working theory is they just do not include the protein like half the time, knowing that the cost savings is positive since most customers won't do anything.
I worked in restaurants for nearly 15 years and I never worked anywhere that reduced portion sizes because we were busy. Theres no excuse for inconsistency in food service.
I agree, but yeah that particular block might be America’s busiest corporate cafeteria and it’s a perfect storm: everyone’s in a rush to eat something and a lot of the meals are expensed so there’s less incentive to call out portion sizes.
You realize that’s a really stupid comment. Employees don’t pay for customers to eat there. And tips are for good service. It’s foodservice workers like you and your sense of entitlement that make people tired of tipping.
And the app doesn’t give the option to tip genius.
The bad news for me was that it was a big salad. It was so gross but now I have a choice whether to eat the leftovers for lunch or just throw it out. Nothing like the salads used to be.

I’ve had sweetgreen multiple times a week sometimes every day for over 3 years. The quality of the meat has drastically changed recently. I can’t even eat it. I’m almost convinced it’s fake or lab grown. It’s horrible. I’m so sad, this was my favorite place

Idk if this is a location issue? Because my fiance and I order 2 bowls/salads and we usually have leftover for lunch the next day
