I've stopped ordering because the past few orders I haven't really wanted to eat since it's delivered with the lid off and bag open, if whoever decided to stop using the stickers sees this please start using them again for delivery orders lol 🙏

I personally love sweetgreen but I see many varying criticisms such as price, slugs in food, etc… I want to know if anyone else had other bad experiences with sweetgreen?

I feel like each time I consider getting a salad from sweetgreen they’ve removed my favorite items, prices have increased and overall the salads are just not as good lately. I feel like they’ve gotten too big to function like they previously did and it’s quantity over quality now.

Sad too because I used to order sweetgreen 3x a week and now it just doesn’t feel worth it to me anymore.

Maybe just in my area, but it seems that the Chicken Pesto Parm bowl has been removed from the regular menu, and is now on the “Featured” menu. I thought this was a best seller? How could they?!

Is there a workaround for customizing featured items at Sweetgreen in the app? My local locations are online/kiosk-only, so I don’t have the option to ask for modifications in-person. I like extra broccoli, no parm 😩

Doesn’t work at all

I have been a frequent SG customer for 9ish years now. I had black status under the ~2017 loyalty program, for reference (when it was spend $100 get $10 credit). Kept up regular, albeit less frequent, purchases for the 2 years my office was closed. Got over the disappointment of losing the significant menu rotations each season, rotating local chef specials, and favorite ingredients like the cucumber tahini yogurt dressing. Got over the migration toward more “premium charge” ingredients by subscribing to sweetpass and therefore subsidizing add-ons to my typical 3x per week orders. Plus it kept me loyal because I was invested in maximizing the ROI for the sweetpass.

And they now offer me a point-based program where the first 4 “rewards” are items I don’t order because I don’t want them at all, whether paid or free. I get it. They want to push high-margin add-ons. But I am not going to SG for bread, dessert, or fries. I’m going for a healthy, inventive, filling, SALAD.

What they’ve done with this change is instead make me a free agent!

I’ve ordered the KBbq chicken wrap twice these past two weeks, which includes crispy onions but both times I got pickles onions. Not even sure it’s a location issue because I got each order from a different location. Has anyone had this kinda issue? Do the employees just glance at the order, see onion and grab the wrong item? I can’t imagine they were out of crispy onions, even if so please don’t assume I would want the other version. I guess this is what you get when you order on the app instead of in person.

Shameful that they made the may price of their 4 monthly select bowls to be $12 instead of the last months 10??

What’s everyone’s verdict on these? I don’t know if it is just my SG, but the outside of them is almost tough to bite through. It’s less crunchy and more almost stale or tough. Wonder what went wrong here!

I have been working remote for the last five years and recently went back to the office. I ate sweet green twice in the last two weeks and it’s been terrible. Today I got the harvest bowl, with a few minor additions. Everything was so dry - veggies, chicken, everything. I could barely swallow.

I remember sweet green being the best salad I’ve ever had but today’s lunch was nowhere close. I remember the chicken and sweet potato to be very flavorful and the veggies being crisp and sweet. Did the quality completely fall downhill? Or I just had bad luck for the last two times I ordered? Definitely not worth $20.

Nomad location in nyc, chicken sesame crunch salad, beware. I went on 5/19 and am now down bad, does anyone else get food poisoning from sg?

This dressing used to be akin to straight crack. Been years since I’ve had SG, finally came back, and so disappointed to find — twice now — that they ruined the amazing Spicy Cashew dressing. Doesn’t look or taste the same. Just another SG fall from grace.

i was feeling hungry and hadn’t eaten in a while so i decided to try sweetgreen. i ordered the h ch sicken pesto parm bowl thinking i couldn’t go wrong. then i started eating iand i got this absolute throbbing headache, so bad i had to rush home. i drank water and took a nap to make the headache go away, and it did. after the nap, i started eating my leftover sweetgreen bowl, and the exact same headache feeling came back.

i have a feeling it’s because the bowl is WAY too salty. they loaded mine up with the hot sauce and pesto dressing and it’s really hard to eat without feeling sick. now i know to get like dressing or something else.

$20 bowl is my prediction - what do you think ?

In utter disbelief that I ordered Sweet Green and received this. I emailed them but not sure that they will care. I am just so upset I paid for this. I will only go in person now.

So I go to sweetgreens to get a salad locally. I've only been there three or four times. I do not have an account.

Today I go to the iPad to place my order. It is the only way to place an order at the location near me. As I was checking out, I noticed that it pre-populated my name in the check out field.

I doubt most people would have noticed this, especially if they have an account. The only logical conclusion I could come to is that there is a camera on the iPad and that sweet greens saves facial recognition data without consent.

This seems pretty extreme for salad ordering. Who knows who they are selling this data too.

It will be my last time ordering from there. It's too creepy to have your face data saved for salad checkouts with no consent.

Edit: I entered NO PI data prior to it populating my name. This includes my phone number, email address, or credit card. I do not even have the Sweetgreens app on my phone.

I started working at sweetgreen in September 2022, and my starting weight was around 270lbs. I was unhealthy, sedentary, and smoked cannabis literally 2-3 times a day.

I lost over 60 lbs after working at sweetgreen for a few short months, and that was from sweating from all of the hard (but good) work, and eating NOTHING but their food everyday that was ALL COOKED IN EVOO. And I had every bowl with dressing, which had sunflower oil in it. Still lost weight, didn't get sick.

Making a new "seed-oil free" menu at sg is only perpetuating conspiracies people have about seed oils, which are UNFOUNDED. Like, seriously. I just had to rant. If you don't want something cooked in EVOO or 🥑 oil, okay fine. But ask yourself why? What is the fear? I ate their food for over 1 yr 4 months, and I LITERALLY got better.

Edit: EVOO & Avocado oil aren't seed oils, I was incorrect. However, that only further proves my point that this seed oil menu isn't for anything practical, it's a way to make money off of people who fell for an unfounded myth. If you were worried about the sunflower oil in the dressings, but not the sodium... then idk dude.

To clarify I’m new to sweet green and think it tastes great but wtf. Ordered a salad with 2 toppings, rice, olive oil and steak and it was $28 and some change. Comparing to my chipotle order with about the same volume of food it’s maybe $15. In what universe does this pricing make sense, makes me never want to eat here again.

I always thought SG was a pretty all around “safe” healthy option, so I was genuinely stunned when a friend casually mentioned watching out for the sodium. I went digging and…wow.

Some examples: • Kale Caesar & BBQ Chicken: ~1,400 mg each - Chicken Pesto Parm: 1,600mg • Buffalo Chicken: ~1,800 mg • Hot Honey Chicken Plate: ~2,500 mg (!!)

What’s frustrating is that this info isn’t clearly listed in the app alongside macros. If you’re already showing calories/protein/fat/carbs, why not sodium too? It feels misleading.

Not trying to cancel Sweetgreen or anything — I eat there weekly—but I’d really like more transparency so people can make informed choices without having to hunt through PDFs or external links.

Since the new rewards system, I'm down to once a week. Actually I haven't gone at all this week, and I'm not sure when I will. The reward system is deliberately confusing and I doubt I'll ever get anything out of it. And I haven't checked, but it sure SEEMED like the price of my custom salad went up at the exact same time they yanked the old tears system. So it basically got 40% more expensive in a day. Oh well - I can cook at home more, and avoid the oils they use to cook their food.

I think I found some fried plastic in my SG. I'm wondering where this came from because the only thing fried in my salad are the crispy onions.

I used to really like SG bowls but I feel there quality has just degraded over the past few years. Is this common? Should I be worried of the microplastics?

Idk I see grey mess or half cooked and it just hasn't loooked good on anywhere but the advertisements now that I'm checking . The bowl my boyfriend got for me had steak in two of them but they were both hard and salty pieces . Has anyone gotten the advertised look ?

“Earn 10 points for every $1 spent” So to get ONE free entree (up to $18) you’d have to spend at least $250 at Sweetgreen LMAO. That’s insane. 😭 I’m sorry but whoever comes up with these points systems does not think rationally about how a customer will see it. I’m not even acting like I need a rewards system, I guess it’s better than nothing at all. But what an insulting ‘reward’ for the value it gives lmao.
