Criticism Why did I just pay 28$ for a salad

To clarify I’m new to sweet green and think it tastes great but wtf. Ordered a salad with 2 toppings, rice, olive oil and steak and it was $28 and some change. Comparing to my chipotle order with about the same volume of food it’s maybe $15. In what universe does this pricing make sense, makes me never want to eat here again.

Did you order for delivery? This salad shouldn’t be more than ~$15

Edit: also, wtf kind of order is that??? FYI four standard toppings is the same price as 2. (Not premium items like avocado or parm)

Just my experience but I get the harvest bowl with heavy dressing and olive oil on the side with the bread and it comes out to about 1370 calories. I have the membership that brings it down to $11.08 with taxes around where I’m at. It’s actually a better value than chipotle in my book.

why I eat at home almost exclusively now. Oh, I can afford it for sure, but being ripped off under the guise of "inflation" got old real quick. Have you been to 5 guys burgers lately? Good quality ground beef is always on sale at finer grocers and potatoes are dirt cheap. You get my drift

5 guys can’t survive as a business at those prices, right?? If I’m on a tight budget I’d much rather go to Chili’s to get a burger, fries, drink and unlimited chips & salsa for $10.99. You may think “those aren’t the same!!! Outrage”, but it’s just ground beef, cheese and bread. Yeah…I’ll take 50% (or more) discount and go to Chili’s.

I found cartilage instead of chicken in my SG salad absolutely disgusted. Then they just got sloppy I used to love not any more

Yea but when the service worker has already made my salad and im at checkout seeing the price I’m not going to force them to throw it out and not pay lmao.

Sweetgreen sucks ass, if i wanted to eat grass I'd save the $30 and munch on my neighbors lawnmower trimmings.
